Haha no. I'm an old-timer, but abandoned BS and RS a couple of years back (for this reason!) I'm shocked that after all this time, there still isn't one... well no I'm not that shocked i guess. But maybe one day, if we keep saying it, they will listen....

We all want it, and it's been like that for years. Since this game or beta of the game doesn't have one, we will never see this feature.

They like stealing our gems. It will never happen, but I'll add to the request anyway. This is why I never spend any real money on any TL game. If they fixed this I might reconsider. But it would depend on how well they fixed it. There is only one game company that I spend real money on and that's because they actually listened and added a gem confirmation button. But I can't post the name or this will get deleted.

Ditto this...I have not spent any money on gems because of gem traps, which I consider outright thievery. Seems worse in this game than even in the other story games. I have already lost 12 gems to traps in this game due to lag when buying ingredients. Will end up uninstalling due to this and the FB deal, which is a shame because I like the game. S8 has lost many players due to these traps but as long as people continue to pay real money to replace stolen gems, S8 has no reason to care. I do warn potential players about these traps in my Google Play reviews.

Is there an option to verify gem spending before doing so? If so I am not seeing it. I used to play all of the Story games and had stopped. I was pleased to see new versions hitting the Play Store and decided to check out Bakery Story 2 first. I only started the game a couple hours ago yet I've managed to spend about 10 gems already to speed up stock replenishment on items that literally take seconds to replenish. At low levels and with quick regenerating ingredients, this is entirely unintentional. Luckily at this point they are just free gems but without an optional verification system I can say that I would not even consider paying real cash in the future. So am I just missing the option someplace? Is it an option to be implemented in the future? Or is this something that will never enter the game?

I agree completely! I've managed to loose quite a few gems already. I've never had an issue on RS2, but for some reason I'm getting gem trapped on this game.
Bummer :/

I'm sure it will get better. :) In the meantime, try and spend your gems quickly and on something you actually want.

Unfortunately I don't think that they would fix it. I ve seen bunch of threads over the year about this topic and nothing been done. This is the way they get quite few gems from people, I myself spend around 400 gems in other game on accident. I just try to play more carefully, wait for restock on indgridients and try not to hit gem buttons on the recipes etc. I think that's the only way. And always lock my phone when I put it down (coz in past I spent lots of gems this way) :>

Here is some feedback, after playing the game for about a week. At this moment, I consider gems to be utterly worthless, and I would never spend $$ to buy them. Why? Because I have spent so far 13 of my initial 20 on utterly stupid things like trying to buy sugar when there's still 4 seconds on the cooldown timer, or tapping too quickly on the screen when it jumped and placed a "speed up" button under my finger.

I understand that this is 100% my "fault" for mis-clicking and not being careful, but the fact is, that as long as there is no protection from me spending gems in this way, I do not see any value whatsoever in buying or stockpiling them. They are literally worthless. If there were a confirmation dialog ("you are about to spend 3 gems to save 2 seconds on your sugar cooldown! Are you sure?"), or an immediate "undo" button that I could hit to reset any use of gems, then I would consider them a worthwhile investment in my enjoyment of the game. But like all other storm8 games I've played, there are no such protections, and so I will never buy gems with $$.

Having a "Use Gems" confirmation button would be great. I've already lost gems when I was zoning out trying to restock my pantry. I know it was my fault for not being careful but it would be great to have this button in Bakery Story 2 as well as the other Storm8 games.

Can't believe I just accidentally paid 19 gems for some cream & vanilla  And now my pantry is full so I can't collect crafted items & can't buy anything else to bake without deleting items from my pantry. It wouldn't be so bad but I don't have enough money to learn the recipe I bought the ingredients for!

What a waste.

If S8 are going to make it so easy (at least for those of us with fat fingers & poor coordination!) to lose gems then I wish it was easier to earn more.

ETA: I don't believe that S8 will ever add a confirmation button as I'm a long term player on other games & have done the same there too. I purchased gems once in my main game but them accidentally lost over 100 gems on a speed up that I didn't want. I have never (and will never) bought gems since.

I've been hosed out of no less than 100 gems in this way and will also never buy gems again for this reason. It's absolutely intentional, if they didn't want people to accidentally spend gems fixing this takes about ten seconds.

The reason why I prefer gems for money than ads, I because they fail to load a lot for some reason.

P.S,

I wasted 11 or 12 gems on finishing food. Wasted.

Wait, that was on the first one.

We need a stop sing when it comes to our gems. I spent a lot of gems that I didn't mean too I wish it would say cost so many gems Yes or No at least we have a choice!
