If recipes and ingredients aren't showing up, try force closing a couple of times. That worked for me. Katryn seems to take a little over an hour per visit. First time she dropped 2, second time 10.

I totally agree that the quantities of ingredients needed seem a bit ridiculous. I am working towards making the squash flatbread, which needs 3 roasted squash (requiring 6 nutmeg), 2 autumn seeds (requiring 6 sugar, 2 nutmeg and 4 squash seeds) and EIGHT flour.

I also just noticed that the Celebration Stove has two new locked recipes: Raisin bread (5 flour, 3 bread and 4 eggs) and Brown Butter Pie (3 flour, 5 sugar, 2 butter)

Don't know about you all, but I'm going to need a second Celebration Stove!!

I figured it out!! I couldn't figure it out for anything! Until I made my squash soup!! Lol your reward (kind of like when you would make the gummy worm cupcakes during Halloween and receive pumpkins full of candy) you receive the seeds when your finished making the squash soup!! Hope I could be of help!! 😊😊😊

Additional quest Pumpkin Spice Season popped up when I was at step 4 of the main quest.

You need squash seeds to make autumn seeds. You can get squash seeds after cooking event recipes such as squash soup, maybe stuffed squash too (not sure about this one).

I actually find the game to be cute so I played it. After I installed it, I got 5+ roasted pumpkin iirc. I kept playing after RS asked me to (and to my own leisure) and I was awarded 15 gems each time I completed a goal. Im on level 10 so far on BS2 and I received 30 gems total.

It's pretty worth it if you have the time imo.

I, too, have yet to see more than 2 nutmegs per visit. Because of this shortage, I continue to painfully inch -- stop -- inch -- stop -- inch along when completing my quests. I've never had such trouble with one of these events. If this drop rate continues, there is no way to complete this challenge. :eek:

They are squash seeds, used to make Autumn seeds. You get them as a reward for the Squash soup. You need 6 cream for this so save up

Don't think I will do this either, not getting the ingredients enough to complete the tasks. Going to need vanilla and haven't received one for over a week, so hoping by the time I need it it shows up and not making as much money as before this started. And for the lobster one only get 2 every 24 hours.. very hard 😕

Some translations into Spanish are wrong.

On step 3, It says "Aprende a preparar calabaza asada" (Learn Roasted squash) I learnt that but It does not count. It should read "Aprende a preparar Calabaza Rellena" (Learn stuffed squash)

Same happens with the first task of the third step. It says "Consigue nuez moscada" (Collect Nugmeg). I have collected nugmegs several times and it did not count. I came here to see that what I have to do is to serve steak and eggs.

How I suppose to complete the event if the tasks are wrong?

I've only received 8 nutmegs once. The rest of the time is usually 2 or 3 at a time. Either make the event longer or higher the amount of nutmegs given out per time. From all of my upgrades I have and the time I am putting into this event, I honestly don't think I'll master everything for once.

Just like the cruise ship goals....this new one is impossible to complete within the allotted time. I've spent a lot of money quick serving, unlocking/restocking etc to complete these challenges and have not once been able to complete in time. I now realize I am wasting my time considering I am level 34 and cannot unlock the pumpkins. Pretty unfair Team Lava! So this particular goal cannot be completed unless you are level 44 or higher.:mad:

Pumpkins are collected when you make Squash Soup. This challenge is pretty difficult. You need so many items just to complete each dish. Almost impossible to reach the goals when only given 2 nutmeg every 1 hour 25 min. Good luck!

I think Team Lava should change the visit time of Katryn to every 30 min and she should drop 3-5, even 10 nutmegs per visit, and the amount of the creams and meats should drop to 2 per cook. This will make this game a fun one for all of us, or it is just a pain!

I can't believe I've used my hard earned gems to skip some parts, just to unlock this paltry recipe that I'll rarely get the chance to cook on the one oven with way too many recipes on it. Especially since we can only have one. AND they have the gall to ask us to cook heavy things. Like lobster bisque. I won't use more gems but I'll keep trying to do this. If I don't finish I won't lose sleep over it.

For now I'll finish focusing on finishing the last part of the brown butter pie goal. This goal is too intricate for what they're giving us. The one where we could unlock the ramen and California rolls were less harsh BUT the quantities were amazing.

Yeah it's really annoying. I have 8 vanilla so far, was trying to harvest plots as often as possible. Now only need 2 more for the goal and then can finally get some for mastery spice. It should spead up things a little bit.

I just harvest all my plots, discard then replant over and over until I get vanilla. That way I don't stress out trying to make something with all the basil or having my storage fill up. Usually it takes about a dozen or so full harvest to get 1 vanilla.

So, I may be in the minority..and I may be singing a different tune in a few days..but I like that this has been more challenging. We weren't meant to speed through it in a few days. I've been enjoying the challenge of having to think about the best use of the nutmeg at that particular moment, especially when I only received 2. I'm also enjoying the challenge of having to stock up on steak/cream/flour/sugar, which is making me use other recipes to bring money to the restaurant. 😀

My theory on the nutmeg drop rate:

When you only have a few (like 4 or less)in your storage she continuously only drops 2. When you have a good amount of nutmeg in your storage she drops 10 way more often.

I don't care how often the quests are or how difficult because I can opt out and not participate, however, whatever they are and whenever they occur, the players should be on as level a playing field as is possible to achieve.

The more randomised the event (like the dropping of nutmeg or the growing of vanilla for a required recipe) the more difficult it is to ensure fairness.

I am at level 55 and I ALWAYS finish the events. The only one I miss was the hulu girl since it was new and din't understand all the tricks to make it and never missed another event since then... But, this one, I don't think I will even come close to make it. 24 pumpkin spice latte,4 creme brulee & 4 lobster bisque?? Seriously?? Can't even use the vanilla to make mastery spice since it's needed in the creme brulee. The drop rate makes it impossible to get it done. Then did you really have to make the drop every 1hr 25min? Maybe drop it every 30 minutes or drop more not just 2 or 10. Well, mostly 2, can't do anything with 2 nutmeg!!! Very frustrating when an event is so unfair. I have two mastery spices which I am very carefully conserving as I can't seem to get vanilla. I think it needs some balance to the challenge. I'm in the same boat, read few days ago that we will need vanilla for last step so started to collet it in advance. Otherwise I wouldn't have any! Vanilla is really rare in my garden and I only got one over the day. It helps to speed up a process a bit, but 24 lattes seems a bit too much considering that we have to rely on nutmeg drop, sugar, pumpkin (all with refresh time around 2,5 hours). I know that I'm going to finish event without spending gems, but it wouldn't be possible if I wouldn't read forum.

There is no way, based on the history of playing this game, that I am going to get 8 vanillas over the next 5 days. Since I am at the top level and have 8 garden plots I seriously doubt most players - other than those who read this board - will complete it. I can't stand it when these games throw a goal in that the requirements aren't realistically obtainable and the only people who even have a chance are the ones to read these boards. I hardly play Dragon Story anymore because of that. It is one thing to make a task hard, quite another to make it practically impossible.

It's not an even playing field for this quest line, again. Sure, I made it through, but if my veggie store wasn't at 6 and if I didn't have a bunch of garden plots to continuously plant in hopes of vanilla this would have been horrible. This is easily the worst event this game has had. It's impossible to complete for many of us (level 50, 4-5 spots in each store, 7 garden plots). You don't get nearly enough nutmeg or vanilla. And the rewards are utterly useless. The recipes for raisin bread and brown butter pie have sub par rewards for the amount of work this event requires. I got to the final step for both and just stopped. I wish I had found this board before wasting my life the last 2 weeks. One more time suck event with pitiful rewards and I'm done with this stupid game.

If it makes you feel any better, I am sure there are plenty of players who still won't be able to finish it between the 8 vanillas (11 gems each) thrown in at the end of the tummy challenge and the 24 drink requirement (6 pumpkins, 4 sugar - both renewed every 2 hours). I started this task at the highest level with 6 experience boost spices, 5-6 vanillas, 6 slots at my veggie market, and 8 garden plots. At some point, because of the nutmeg drops I stopped doing the drink and just concentrated on the tummy requirement because I realized mathematically, at the 2 nutmeg/1 hr, 45 minutes (plus one 10 nutmeg) drop rate, I realized the most nutmegs I was realistically going to get in a day was 22- 26. At 2 nutmeg a soup, 3 nutmeg a drink, 4 nutmeg a stuffed squash, 10 (6 for the baked squash + 4 for seeds) for flatbread, I needed 19 nutmegs just to make one each of everything. I used all my experience boosts and committed every vanilla to making more of those. Had I known the cream brulees was coming up I would have just done the drink task. I finished the tummy rumble yesterday but highly doubt I will finish the drink goal, even with the increased drops, as I probably won't get enough pumpkins. Now I admit part of the problem is that I can't just go to the game every 2 hours because I have to, you know, work, but still.... The increased drops or decreased requirements should gave happened long before they did.

I don't know who comes up with these tasks but there have been very few that started out with obtainable goals, even for players at high levels, with what should be more than adequate resources.

I now wish I'd saved my gems and not used them to skip ahead at times. I'm about to finish the stuffed squash. I need to make about 5 more of the other dish, the pita or pizza but first need to collect some more seeds. I have about 22 ginger I'm making tea to get rid of, but I've gotten all of two vanillas in the past three days. So rude!

All in all I've used way to many gems. But I can't blame anyone but myself, because I did not anticipate their doubling the nutmeg and having the girl come around more often. To be honest, they knew the balance was off and should have done this days ago.

Managed to finish about two days ago, thanks to this board. I used a couple of mastery spices but no gems. I refuse.

I posted in the suggestion section a while back about allowing us to pick what we grow on our gardens. It's rather silly that we can't. No farmer goes out and throws down seeds without having a clue what they are.

I really hope this is the last event for a while. This is what, the third or fourth in a row? When events are all the time and do full of pressure to complete, it's no longer fun to do. And yes, I know I have the option to not do it but how fair is it to not be able to get a unique item or recipe simply because the makers of this game keep throwing us into one event ot another. Instead of it being fun and something to look forward to, it's a chore.

American thanksgiving is right around the corner. Are we going to have another event that starts on Friday? Please, give us a rest,

Gawd!!! I thought this was over already. I gave up over a week ago.
And stopped logging in game entirely.
There is still 7 hours left. I will log on once this one is over.
Just disappointed all the way around!

Granted I am a Hunger Games series fan, books & movies, But all I could think of
design wise was Hitchcock's "The Birds"! A good Halloween design in my book.

Even though I was not eligible for the pumpkin goal series I too feel that the nutmeg increase was too late. I struggled to get through the squash part with mostly 2 nutmegs per drop. Now that I've been done for days the drops are nearly always 10....I have 184 nutmegs now and they are useless! Not wasting other pantry items to make more squash recipes.

On one hand I'm glad that others will have a chance to complete the goal but Im one of those people that uses gems to complete goals if I don't have enough time to keep checking in and now I realize that I wouldn't of had to use the gems. Please test these goals as u will eventually alleinant those that use gems this isn't the first time u have changed the goals to make them easier after they are released. IMO of course. :)

I was able to finish the tummy rumble but the pumpkin latte one will not get finished due to no vanilla for days. Can't make the cr?me brulee without it so I only got two made.

Haven't grown vanilla in days -- all i get is garlic!! So yeah, finished only one goal, with the help of Quick Serves and Mastery Spice >.>

Boy I wasted a lot of gems on this. I was able to tell about three days before it ended that I wouldn't have enough time to make master levels. I just couldn't get enough squash. I had backlog of ingredients to make my flatbread and stuffed squash, but couldn't get the actual squash! For a while a tried buying it with gems, but that was very expensive.
