Repeated box item

So I've been opening the beach resort box for my Hawaiian/Boardwalk restaurant. I managed to get all the items except for pool bar which I was hoping to be able to get today but instead I got the ocean critter display again. I thought there was a box update that stopped repeats from happening or is this just a glitch?

I don't think there was ever any update that prevents getting repeat items in boxes. That is part of the reason people so dislike boxes. If you got all the items except one with only one double then your pretty lucky actually.

I am sorry but the possibility of receiving duplicate items from the boxes has already been part of the design of the game.

(only exception is closet/avatar items in Fashion Story)
