Or are the gold sale prices wrong?

Thought this happened a while ago, but can't find the thread.

I don't have a gold sale and my prices are the usual amount. Seems like a bug, hopefully

Oddly enough it is correct on the Android version.

One of the community managers posted an article on this increase, saying it was Apple increasing the prices. I can't find the post after a very very quick search, and this isn't the article as it also referenced a couple of other countries where the prices were changing, but since you're in Australia this is why:

Ahhhhh - might explain why the current Value Pack is more expensive too on the iPad. I just checked and on Android it is dearer than the last, but not as expensive as on the iPad. But then Google adjusts for the exchange rate and Apple is already in local dollars (I believe).

Very interesting. The joys of entertainment spending I suppose.

Apple has ALWAYS ripped off Australian buyers, so nothing new there! One of the reasons I'm no Apple fan, frankly.

Edit: I just calculated the Value pack has increased 21% - that is a very hefty price increase, even for Apple!!

Personally I think that's a joke. If gold prices inflated that much in the us I would just never buy gold again.

IF, and it is a big IF, I buy again it will be via the Android app, not the Apple App Store. That jump is just ridiculous.

The Chest of Gold used to be 24.99 on both Apple and Android. Now it is 30.99 on Apple, but still 24.99 on Android, but Android uses ****** which applies the exchange rate to the 24.99. I think.

Even so, it is a 21% hike in price in the Apple Store. Apple are too powerful, Storm8 probably don't have any say in the matter at all.

I've always wondered why I get gold sales frequently on one iOS account but not the other? I wonder if it has something to do with the one that doesn't get gold sales initially starting out as an android.

Mine account started out as Android, and my experience does not support that theory. I get regular gold sales.

I am sure that it is an Australia thing due to fall in the Aussie dollar as it was in the paper last week, Apple has also increased the price of apps is well.
Hope this helps and yes it sucks as I don't get gold sales!

That's so weird! I know they say it's random but I find it odd that that particular account has never had a gold sale.i would only ever buy thru a sale so needless to say I've never bought gold on that account.

Meant to say that I do not get the normal gold sales as others do, but I do get the ones overt he Black Friday Sales and Dragon Stories birthday, so it really sucks when they increase the price. My sons 2 games both get sales!

I've only been playing 6 months but it has been months since I've had a gold sale. Lvl 127 and not spending another dollar until there is a sale and that includes buying value packs. I'm a sucker for those value packs :) but I am done spending.
