Did you install the newest version of the game? Assuming you're on Android. Last week brought out the ONLY current Halloween deco. You can get some old deco if you can find the old Halloween app, but mostly tables, chairs, and stoves. I can't say where to look, because I'll get yelled at by the mods. ;)

Goals that involve cooking with decor prizes only happen once a month. They haven't released any Halloween decor as of yet. Last week they released a bunch of lto fall decor. Hopefully they will repeat that this week with Halloween stuff.

(sorry to repeat pic yet again, but i wanted the text-less version)

i'll probably buy a lot of the walls, since i don't have enough of any single wallpaper to do all my walls (not sure why i didn't buy more previously). i'll avoid the floors, they're practically blinding in this preview. i already have some jack o'lantern tables but i like these new ones better. and i'm glad for the table, but the other floor decor's not my style. c'est la vie! i'm fortunate enough to have too much halloween decor already!

There's some nice stuff when you really look. At first glance though it looks like Tony the tiger has been splattered all over the floor! When you take away the floor tiles then it's ok. I like the little trick or treaters and the tables. Not too struck on the end goal prize.

After seeing the preview, I have to speak up for those who have waited a long time for the Halloween goal. Based on previous Halloween goals, it's an abysmal failure. One has to wonder if there are outside "fundamentalist groups" who has forced this babyish tragedy.
Economically speaking, I would dare say that Halloween and Christmas are the major money makers for storm8. What has happened, want had changed.... look at the previous spectacular Halloween items.

I'm just one player who has spent a shameless amount of money on Bakery story and Restaurant story. I'll probably be removed for my comments, at this point.. I don't care...

Eh.... This really wasn't what I was hoping for but at least it's Halloween themed. I'll still do them for the sake of getting even more Halloween ovens, and since the decor isn't that bad. I guess storm8 decided to tone it down this year for all the folks who don't like the "scarier" stuff we had in the past. I'm hoping the proportions on those prizes get fixed.

Very disappointed in this update. It looks like something for younger players completely. Also, is anyone else noticing that there are two decorations based on trick or treaters and two candy table displays (one from previous update)? Really hoping there will be a return of old items because I just bought gems in hope there would be...

I really like it! The wallpapers are fine,the tiles not so but that's ok.Can't wait for the recipes.People complain,but we get cute new recipes,so what? The decorations look really small and not matching other stuff. But all in one,i like it.could be worse. ;)

I'm torn...I like it, despite the fact I wish it was "spookier" it still ok. They could have done soooo much more with this. The proportions are off like people have said, but the recipes are cute. I'm still hoping ( fingers crossed ) for a LTO on past decor BEFORE Halloween and BEFORE Black Friday. The designs are just not the same....bring back older content!!!

I was just about to write this. Its most likely the engineers are making some tweaks and its taking a little more time. Its only an hour or so late. Im not worried late. I know it sucks for folks outside of the States, but im sure its coming.

Call me cynical but...I had a feeling about it after the 4th of July goals. They know holidays are big business. They just should have made sure the decor wasnt so boring and elementary if they are going that route.

Dont get me wrong...its cute..but folks dont want overly cutesy for october. They want spooky! And spooky doesnt have to be all dark and doom either.

We shall see. Only 2 ovens built. Will take a while to get to part 2 or 3.

You're not required to cook 20-30 recipes of the ones in the second oven. Only about 6-8 or something. That's why it doesn't take long to finish the goal once you get the 24 requests from your neighbours.

Well, it is certainly nice to have one person (Ms. Pepper!) get through quickly because it is easier to plan the game around one's real life instead of the other way around.

I do have to admit the last few goals have been too short- bake 4 of the 1 hour recipes? That might be ok for the newest of players, but I've only been around a year and I can get a few ovens built in two days with the couple of neighbors I have that are paying attention. On the other hand, I remember goals last winter which were something like "bake 36, 8 hour cakes" and it was a real struggle to finish in time. Maybe they are trying to find a happy medium? Shrugs

I work full time and have a husband and toddler to make time for so I'm definitely not playing this game 24/7. I'm lucky enough that I don't feel the need to get the seasonal goal final prizes early so I can display them because I have old seasonal decor having been playing for years.

I totally agree. As long as 24 requests done then build machine this way you can also complete in two days. Don't build machine first then ask 24 requests later. This way you need to use more than 2 days to complete.

Why do you think it is a race? Funny! There is no big deal in complete the goal. I always complete the goal fast doesn't mean anything to me. I have mastered all the recipes in all machine so when new goal arrive I always build many machines that why I complete the goal fast. Haha

I agree with you. This depends on individual. some love to have Halloween display before Halloween really come. Some display the Halloween items so refused to do the goal. Some willing to spend plenty of gems on goal and some don't like to use any gems for goal but only to earn gems. So it is really depends on how you want to play this game. But most importantly, bakery story is a really nice game that bring a lot of fun for all of us here.

On last recipe, it says 'Serve 12 Candy Tortes' but you can actually prepare this recipe and it counts towards the goal.

I see in the pic above a group of trick or treaters but they aren't in my decor tab or anywhere else. Are they from last year? Do I have a prize coming that just hasn't happened? Just keep scrolling through the floor decor section, you may have to scroll past locked items, it will be near the end section where other goal prizes are.

No other items grayed out with "goal" are items that you had to complete previous goals to earn - sometimes they are re-released as LTO's on sale but not always. I LOVE those pumpkin bouquets too and wish I could buy some but I wasn't playing when that goal came out so missed out on ever getting access to them unless they are released as LTO's.

Something weird just happened. I'd only made the candy torte once on 5 ovens BUT they all went bad. I clicked on the ovens to discard the food and cook it again when the goal popped up showing I'd won the final prize.

I immediately went to the design tab and sure enough I had one display and could purchase a second. I still have them out so they don't disappear on me, even though I can't be bothered to decorate for Halloween.

Is anyone else having this happen? I've been too busy to cook. Haven't even started the second appliance on RS. But I've never had a goal finish on me without my actually putting in the work. I hope it sticks!

The goal candy torte need to serve 12. This is the trick. simply put candy torte to stove to cook. Keep the stove into store and take out the stove again and cook candy torte again. I have 4 machine so I need to keep all 4 machine into store for 3 time and put candy torte to cook on stove for 3 time. In just 2 minutes time I got the goal prize without using any gems to skip. There is no need to wait for 9 hours to get cook. That is why I completed the goal so fast. :)
