I had to redo the Album into the Pets Guides as the pictures here were gone.

Our very own Pets album
Since we love our pets in Farm Story 2. I thought it would be fun to put together the pictures of all our pets with your help. This way we can have a glimpse of all the pets past and present. We can also share our pets with our fellow farmers. :)

I will need your help to make the collection complete
How can you help? Well I don't have the complete collection of pets pictures. So I'll need your help to send me the names and pictures of the missing pets. Click on the habitat and then the petbag icon. Capture the screen and post it in this thread, I'll add your pet's picture to the collection.

Your suggestions are welcome. What other categories or pictures would you like to add? Send me the pictures, I'll make space for it. :) This is a fun thread for our pets, so let's have fun. :D

My pets are proving to be a good distraction - I discovered they are holding secret meetings in the far corner of the farm behind a windmill. I have surveillance evidence as you can see. Those easter chicks have been troublemakers from the start, I tell you! ;)

I can't recall my pets now (just collected from them about 3 hours ago), but most of the ones I have area already pictured. I do have one dog I didn't notice among the pictures. I think it's a Golden Retriever that I bought in the market before it was removed.

but rynetory2 adviced me this is a very good and promising investment. each pony rewards you 15 gems per week. that means you will get a payback of what you spend to have one of them in 2 years 7 months or so. well, 1 year 4 months with 50% discount. rynetory2 has been longing for the off price, and me too! lol..

Chinese Dragon Pony was introduced into the Market as a gem pet during the Chinese New Year event this year. Sheep dog was the prize pet.

Yes the price of the show pony is steep and does not seem worth it. That were my exact thoughts when I was deciding if I should purchase it. Ok, what could I spend my gems on? I could buy some decorations or a few gem pets or 1 show pony. Decorations wise, I didn't think it was worth spending gems on something that mostly likely would end up in my cellar due to space constrain. Gem pets wise, they yield the same as coin pets so it was more cost effective to buy coin pets. I look at the ROI (return on investment) and the show pony was the best option. A few neighbours thought I was nuts to spend so many gems on it. So true. However I saved up the gems from my first pony and bought a second with it. Well that was my case. The decision if to buy varies person to person, very individual indeed. There is no correct or wrong decision. Just spend on whatever makes you happy. :)

There was a gem sale last bf. I don't get gem sale as other farms, so that's once a year for me. I couldn't remember what else was on sale last bf. Hmmm were there some pet and buildings sale.. I hope they give us some good stuffs this year plus a 50% for all gem, show pony, pets, buildings and decorations sale. In short 50% off everything. 75% and above are welcome too lol. :)

I would like to see some of the previous animals offered for limited time/s for people like me who started later then others. I'd really love the big reindeer, fawn, carousel pony and pretty much any of the pets. I understand if people don't think it's fair as they worked for them and I accept for that reason the pets may never be offered again. I'm just hoping.

That is 3 per habitat. Other pets which were awarded as part of goals or quests are limited to the number that fits on their habitat (for display purposes-you might have more but can't display). Example limited to 3 chicks, 1 fox, 3 animals That go in the wildlife habitat (currently skunk and deer), 1 ghost etc

Thank you, that makes it very clearI am not sure that I agree with 9 as the limit. I currently have 2 pigs, 3 horses, 4 dogs, 1 goat and 2 reindeer/fawn on display for a total of 12. My biggest problem is keeping them all fed.

i advise you not to touch your gems ever. save up until you have a show pony or two. unless you have maximum number of show ponies, you may having fun with all your gems. :o cheers

My only experience with real show ponies is that they have almost no mane at all. Personal quirk that I'm able to get over if it will help my game.:D

It should be noted that there is a difference between the ponies and the show ponies. To date, the only ponies made available through events are the standard ponies. These can be placed in the pony pen habitat and are like any other pets that roam around and pick up items/coins/etc. The show ponies, however, need to be placed in the show pony stable and cost considerably more than all other pets (regular price 2,000 gems). There is also a significant price difference.

On the contrary, everytime we have 50% off for show ponies, I immediately grab them (if there is enough gems on the piggy bank) but unfortunately, I had noooo more gems when the autumn show pony popped up. That made me felt guilty, hahaha too cute to be missed. And the answer below is a great advise (thanks kindefarm1890 for your quick reply! :D) and I say you should follow him/her, darkmornings. :D happy pursuing your show ponies!

Each show pony will give you 15 gems every week. You can only collection once a week. I would recommend holding off on purchasing one until they have a 50% off sale.
