I know that it's up to everyone whether they choose to participate in the tournaments, but I agree with everyone that it's way too soon to have again tournament when the last one just ended Sunday... I remember the tournaments being 2x a month, now we're literally being consumed with events and tournaments and it's starting to take over people everyday life. I wish that Tl would read these forums to see how players are feeling and get back to the normal scheduling of these tournament(2x a month) to give us a break and enough time to breathe as well as heal dragons from the last one days ago... REALLY!

2 - defeated Topaz, barely won with Ruby 10 .

Well it starts with that flash tourny prob 4-5 ago losing 20 plus in the final round to end with 28 in the spa. Then having about 15 still there by the next one. Add 20-25 dragons, and it just keeps on. The one last week I lost a ton on. I came in with already loaded spa and I ended with 52. I've been sick as a dog all week so I've been sleeping resting not thinking for a mili second that I would be doing another one today! So yea. I had only healed up a few the past few days. I'm disgusted with the whole thing. There should be a loss cap per round. I believe I needed up over 20 on earthquake. I'm so exhausted I can't remember...

Hi Jen. I know how u felt, I've been like this too several tourneys before. I lost several rounds too last tourney (eg. How can an Atlantis lost to a Golem, etc). The longest record in spa line I've ever had was 78 dragons in line for spa, looks like that's in Shadow's tourney. I hate it when bad luck came along my way in tournament. Sometimes 10, 20 something dragons in spa, I admit that's ridiculous. Be strong, Jen, try as best as we can, take it easy, it's just a game. Win or lost doesn't matter, the most important is to have fun. Good luck to all of us. :)

Quite agree.... But for the first time I opted out of the Tales once I had the second dragon and concentrated on the earthquake tournament , mainly for practice on battles, yes even at L150 I'm still trying to work out just what happens in tournament battles recently as the results have become unpredictable and I think it's because there are so many dragons now introduced which increases the risks of the wrong choice by us as individuals and TL may have changed the random results for us as individuals ........ So I now think of each fight as working out by colour weakness and rarity which for me makes it much less stressful to finish ...... Cheer up every one its a game lets see if we can outwit TL s strategy

You are very right , it was flametail for me as well and I was getting mad at what was happening so could not change the game so had to change how I was approaching it ..... Not sure I've quite grasped it but it makes it less stressful ...... Let's see if between us we change the odds in our favour again ...... Keep smiling ...... Ain't easy but worth a try .

I didn't really plan on doing this, but I thought I'd find out what my only dragon beyond level 10 (Maple 12) could do...

I did suffer some losses along the way, but not until round 19 where Maple 12 lost to Naga. If comic or maple are not listed as the winner of a round it usually means I tried one of them and lost prior to choosing a probable winner or following a recommendation from someone else in these fine pages. Why have I been stuck on a level 5 Illusion dragon since yesterday afternoon?? Rainbow Sentinel isn't even coming close and neither were other champs. Pulled out the pink-yellows and did better, but still not winning.

Try regular Forest dragon since black and purple both weak agains green/green-pink (such as Watermelon)/white-pink (such as Cotton Candy)/white-green (such as Fuzzy). I won with my Forest though. Good luck. :)

I'm finally posting a list of my winning dragons. Like in the last tournament, I had a lot of losses in the early rounds. I am sure TL changed soemthing and now a winning chance against baby dragons is about 50%, not 80-90%. 10 losses so far. It is more difficult to fight against babies now than against level 10-14 dragons. I don't think it's just a bad luck.

Well, after the last tournament was super annoying losing against dragons many times with 80% and more chance to win, it's going more than well this time.

Right now my next enemy will be No. 26, the Avatar dragon.

I won against every dragon on the first try except for Hypnotic (1 fail) and Diamond Prism Dragon (2 fails).

For all the dragons up to Leviathan (No. 17) I used my Chariot Lv. 9.
For the next dragons I used my Lv. 10 Battlesteed or (for Champions) my Lv. 10 Metal dragon.

2 or 3 more dragons today til I go to bed, so I'm confident the Sorcerer will be mine tomorrow. Never had so much luck during tournaments and after the last one I absolutely wasn't in the mood for another one right after the tales. But hey, turned out to be far more relaxing than expected. I wouldn't be surprised though if the last remaining dragons will beat me all the time now, haha. Somehow it needs to keep the balance...

Yes, having your dragons at higher levels does increase your odds. Sometimes substantially sometimes only a bit.

I'm fairly new to Dragon Story so I'm glad I finally found this community and thread to help me through the tournament. I just want to give a word of encouragement to any lower level players who might be lurking: it's possible to complete this tournament without having champions and rare dragons. For instance, I beat the tusker in round 15 with just my lvl 10 water dragon. It was almost beat after the first hit.

With battlecaster i used kung fu 3 it lost then tried a few other dragons and ended up winning with honey bee 1 because i remembered that you beat it with a level 1 red and yellow. As always i love your combinations and i always look forward to what you are going to use next.

Yes just want to agree about beating dragons with lower levels. A few of mine are higher but watermelon is level 7 and beat mischief and spirit,Atlantis is level 7 and beat behemoth. Sometimes it takes more than one try but I am learning slowly with lots of help from this forum.

Try lvl 15 diamond again. Sometimes it take twice or three times. My infinity worked second time. Good luck!

What I figured out over the time playing is the way to beat the champs is in addition to Diamond to have the following prepared to battle for this scenario only..

Pyramid
Soccer
Infinity
Passion
Metal

Instead of focusing on raising my battle champs to the high levels (I took one to 13 and one to 12) I got Pyramid, Soccer, Infinity and Metal up..and I started doing better against the champs. If you get those up (I have them at 14 and 13) even battling the level 20 I think the worst I've lost is 5 times..when in the past I might lose 20 times. In this contest I lost one time only. The game made me repeat the same battle again which is super annoying but I did win again. In the earlier champ battles I lost once only as well.

For those of you having trouble with lore keeper, I just took him down with level 7 super. I looked at the color chart online and red and blue were the first 2 colors listed under green & white. Purple was also listed under one so I figured all 3 colors would make a powerful combo. He took out my level 13 diamond who has won every single round so far.

Luckily I had enough food on hand to take Diamond to Lvl 12 for Rd 20.

Jewelry was my first choice based on the colour chart to defeat Sorcerer, but Warrior Prince and Watermelon had been SO good all tournament I felt I owed them the opportunity, so I did.

I chose to use Ultimate on Black Knight as I couldn't afford to have Diamond going back in endlessly and no others of mine were touching him. I got the Diamond Temple three days ago (expecting a bit of an activity lull after the Dragon Tales) and I need Diamond breeding, not in the Healing Spa endlessly. Also the Ultimate cost 10 Gold as I'd received 15 Gold as a reward for playing another game to level something-or-other and the prize for that round was 5 gold. 30 - 5 - 15 = 10 Gold. Plus I just earnt 30 Gold for downloading Candy Blast Halloween. Plus I work full-time and start studying part-time tomorrow (yes, on a Saturday) so I just don't have the time - I like to sleep too!

I did much better this tournament now I have a few epics in the needed colour combinations. I have a few other combinations I want to raise up, pink/yellow Lightning particularly. Very useful. Glitter also has a useful colour combination but she is a hungry lady.

Overall I really enjoyed this tournament - I had dragons I felt were up to the task at hand and I've got better at selecting the best types to throw at the opponents.

My target now is no Ultimate at all next tournament. Will see how I go.

After fighting this dragon all day, I mean 20 plus losses, diamond, infinity, passion, metal, soccer,and pyramid just to name a few. I was healing and retrying many of them. What i usually do with Diamond Hybrids (if Diamond doesn't work) is to ignore the Diamond part and just attack the other part - in this case Rainbow. Check out what is strong against rainbow and use that... Even if it is a baby... Don't worry, they can be really tough sometimes!

Finished.. Other than multiple losses to Black Knight this wasn't too bad, losing once or twice to a few others is tolerable. Next tournament I'll have an epic Diamond Dragon ...breeding a diamond on my birthday was a wonderful surprise :)

I haven't reached dream yet, but do u have a Seabreeze? If yes, try it, I've planned to use Seabreeze later on. Good luck. :)
Ps. Or you can try any other yellow-blue or blue-yellow dragons if u don't have a Seabreeze (like Social, Poetry, etc).

Aether, Cleopatra, Crystal, Cyber, Double Rainbow, 8 Bit, Glitter, Iridescent, Lilly, Lollipop, New Year, Rainbow Sentinel, Shaman, Time Travel, Visitor, Wizard to name a few all have a 60% chance if they are level 15. Good luck!
