Bubblemania level 221 took my jewels and did not block doom bubbles

I am using an iPad air, ios 9.01 (I think), and I am on bubblmania level 221. I spent 12 jewels to block the doom bubbles, but though my jewels were taken, the doom bubbles stayed unblocked. How do I get my jewels back?

Keep in mind that the Doom Bubbles in the level will look the same, but as long as you have the Doom Proof Boost selected at the bottom, you can throw Bubbles next to Doom Bubbles and it won't cause you to lose.

I don't understand what your problem is... But this flip flop world is on of the easiest in the game
