Well, I won't say I'm excited to see what they'll come up with this week, but at least it won't be worse than last week! I'm just hoping for something you'd find in restaurants adults would willingly go to. I'd like some new autumn content this week before we get into halloween, not that I'm not happy with the re-releases, but I had most of it already. And preferably non-boxed, of course!

well, given the changing patterns recently (with way more boxes), i'm not sure we can completely eliminate it as a possibility, although i sure as heck hope you're right! i hope you're wrong on it being a new version for android though. i'd like to get one of the versions i'm waiting for checked off before i put another on the list!

I don't think not getting a preview means the games are doomed. It's just waiting one day. If it sucks, no worries. If it's decent, then we can be pleasantly surprised. There was a time, like mentioned before, where they did the updates here on the forums. Then they went to their site. Then they stopped. And started again. Could be any reason. Maybe out nitpicking did it? Maybe someone was busy. Maybe there is s problem with the servers or site.

We just have to wait and see what happens today to know if the impatience was worth the wait, of not knowing what we would get.

New version for android...no rush since blue doesn't tie in with fall or Halloween decor anyway. Sooo... An almost non existent update in FS, another useless crate in BS and another new version in RS. No wonder I barely play anymore.

i think they're just putting much more of their design efforts into their next generation story games, along with the non-story mania games. but i too miss the days when an update meant a full suite of functional items (floors, walls, tables, chairs & counters) along with the purely decorative stuff.

at least we're not as bad off as fashion story!

That is what it is looking like....I am so over Storm 8 and Team Lava looking over the Android players as if we are nobodies!!! We don't get updates, we lose gems and they won't give them back to us, we don't have the block feature, we don't have the gem dispenser, and push notifications are nonexistent! Hell I have been using my phone timer so I can stop using gems!

thank you very much vanacatu! i'm not at all sad to not have this content yet. they should have put this oven in bakery when they had the sapphire release there. but mostly i just don't care for the "gemstone" themes once they got past the first one. S8 is so boring now.

re: new version release:
okay, i never look for new versions right away (i like my gem prompts), so i'm not an expert on the timing. but doesn't it always take at least a couple hours? why is everyone freaking out already? so far this is operating like every other new version week.

and kikicola, i'm with you on some of the android differences, but fyi, iOS also has gem losses that are not refunded.

Yes exactly. I am an iOS user and I don't have to do anything, it just appears in my game, without any kind of "theme name" like this Royal Blues. I didn't even know the name of the (your) update until I check here, so I can then post it for my android neighbors. I really appreciate you all for posting the android updates here, even though I'm an iOS player, I want all of my neighbors to have access too. It annoys me that they don't.

They don't get new editions like android, it's added like a regular update. Example the regular edition gets the updates content without any need to download a special edition like android.

Both platforms work differently from each other.

I am a three plus year player on an android device and I am so fed up and bored with how tl/s8 handle android users. I AM bored, Storm8 .Tired of waiting for updates. After I have spent days,weeks,months waiting to download updates for gems. ..I am not at all likely to buy decor for gems. Therefore, I don't buy gems. I am more likely to buy decor that costs gems when it is initially released...it's new, I would more likely buy it on impulse. After waiting for the update, I have seen the "new "decor in a multitude of shops and once it becomes available to me...I am no longer willing to buy it...it's old hat, my impulse to spend gems has waned by the time android gets it. So, actually, thank you Storm 8, for preventing me from buying decor on impulse thus saving me any desire to buy gems with real money. .I owe you one for making me bored of these games.

So they aren't automatically updated with your software, but you make that choice by using an android I guess. The updates ARE available on the same day, just not until a few hours later. iOS never gets a name nor does it gets gems from downloading each version. As I said before, I rather be a droid player for free gems. iOS players actually did pay for the gem dispenser. It didn't come free like those free gems from downloading games lol. The comparison between droid and iOS goes stale. There are pros and cons for each platform. New Edition is called Restaurant Story Royal Blues. Found it on Google Play store. FYI, it's much harder to find w/o the name..not sure why but new editions don't show up at the top of the games list when you search RS.

You are most definitely not alone! All of my android neighbors have stopped in app purchases. I stopped as soon as I noticed the difference in how they treat Android players! I used to buy gems once a week....now...NONE! REFUSE TO SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS GAME EVER AGAIN...or until they decide to update us like they used to.

For Android, the pattern is simple I think (after a long observation). Once you installed and played the game for an amount of time, you will never get notification of the said game update for free 6 gems anymore. Once iOS neighbor started requesting for part unheard of, only then, most Android user will start hunting for the said update. Well, in my case that is.

What I did was installed the update, bought the appliances (if any), and uninstall the old version. I never lost any appliances yet even though I uninstall the former version.

As, I only play RS and BS, so I still get notify of free 6 gems for the other storm8 games.

Apart from storm8 games (RS & BS), I also play games from Happy Labs (Happy Mall Story). What I like about Happy Labs is that the gems are cheaper. Maybe because it's not as famous as storm8 games.

For example:-
- Happy Labs sold 200 gems for USD1.44
- storm8 sold 275 gems for USD49.99

I mean if Happy Labs can do it, why not storm8 with millions of player? Even after discount, it is still not affordable for some player. If they drop the prices as low as Happy Labs, imagine the money I will spend on gems (like I did for Happy Labs).

i don't see how cd they put a price $33K for each oven in this terms...

So I decorated for Christmas (yes I skipped halloween) but it's so annoying that they've removed things off the market. I needed 16 chairs but there was only 12 available to me (ahhh sucks) but surprisingly enough, the baby reindeer and the reindeer track tiles were still available to buy.

Yeah, if someone requests something, you can only hit accept or decline. But you can click the visit button next to their name in the request, and gift from their store, or in the list of gifts you've received, you can click "gift back" and do it from their for people who have gifted you, or you can go to your neighbors tab on your social screen and click gift, and it will bring up the gifts menu and you can select which gifts go to which neighbors.

I just have to say, for RS story at least, the low yield doesn't make up for downloading the new version before we get a prompt to do so for gems, so I'm not going to download before the prompt, or if it hasn't come, then a month after it's out.

I've been playing almost since day one. I haven't done the most recent expansions they've added though because I don't have enough neighbors anymore. They've been dropping like flies over the last few months. Most because bugs haven't been fixed, some because goals are the only reason they play & they've been pretty lame lately, & a few others for personal reasons. I have about 8 or 10 right now who I know are dormant but hate deleting them in case they come back.
Exp. keeps growing but you just hardly notice because of the big span to the next level.

Too late for me...I have 6 sapphire ovens because it never occurred to me to check profit. I was just trying to build up gems. Even worse, I just got the new Kindle fire and it turns out not to be compatible with RS or BS. Useless for my games...what a bummer!! I can still play on my old Kindle but am very disappointed.

Actual goals only happen once a month on either the first or second Wednesday. So we should have goals this week since the 1st landed on a Thursday last week.

The game didn't even notify me or have a pop up telling me about the new update. I just found out today only because I was searching through the app store. I hate how us android users are always the last to know or get anything.
