Does anyone actually work here? Respond to legitimate complaints? Read customer support inquiries? Act upon issues?? Hello??? Speak English? Russian? French? What's it take?

Since yesterday early evening the sale flags on the gem package tabs have remained in apps, but the prices themselves are the regular prices. I sent emails, SS, and posted here and yet nothing was acknowledged or responded to. Let me make myself more clear....

!!!!!!
The sale tags are still posted.
FYI: I have legal background, and would be VERY happy to put it to use (my brain could use a little distraction)... I'm getting sooo fed up with your amateur-league business practices. Although I'd like to thank you for incorporating...

Anywho... Talk to an attorney, or anyone with actual business experience....

An Ad Must be Truthful and Not Misleading
If an ad is likely to mislead an average consumer and that misperception influences a customer's decision to buy or use the product, it is considered deceptive.

And I have the screenshots to substantiate.

This type of thing will get Apple folks involved. I'm not whining that I'm too stupid to understand what "purchase" means. I'm telling you you are blatantly deceiving customers.

Get it together.

Folks... Please note if you purchase gems today, you'll be paying FULL price. I have no problems with their pricing, I just don't want anyone to be fooled into thinking they'll be saving any money.

It's "okey dokey" until you do the math or you realize you were duped into spending a larger sum because you believed you were purchasing at a discounted price. Then it's not so "lmao". Just take a second to imagine if GM, IBM, Apple etc started doing this... As a consumer, we have certain rights... The laws are in place to protect you and your hard earned cash.

Yes, well dontcha worry about me and my hard earned cash. We are not that easily parted.

Op may have had a point. But it could've been phrased better, without the ego attached. The drama on this board is worse than daytime soaps that are just as sickening

Errrr.. I have no ego attached. Lol. I'm just frustrated by repeated attempts to communicate with teamlava. Im trying to see an error resolved. If it were "ego" I'd simply say "bah, stupid... Not my prob. I'm just not buying." ego as in self. Drama is not escalating a legal concern, at least not to me... Im not whining that my kid spent real money blah blah... Lol.

I'm not out to battle fellow game players... I'm trying to focus attention on a game issue. Let's no debate the writing style.

I totally agree! But I must say that I am addicted to this forum... I love reading the drama that unfolds each day, if you can ignore the porn and language that is, but I am more addicted to this than the games themselves. Sometimes you get a real question needing an answer, but mostly I come here for my daily dose....

Never did get a response, but they did finally fix the tabs.

THANK YOU! Now can you get Apple to force them to remove the language FREE WEEKLY UPDATES from their ads on ITunes. I don't care whether they give us weekly updates or not....I just want the lies gone. That's how they suck ppl in. I invested money into these apps in the beginning, in part because I relied on them to introduce new content and enchance gameplay....as they say they will in their ads.

I am only playing Bakery now....quite RS today. I just want to see them held accountable and it seems that removing the offending language is the easiest way.

Did you e-mail support@teamlava.com? It's really concerning how some players are reporting that they have never received responses even though the representatives have reported that all the e-mails have been answered. I would like to figure out what is happening so we can provide better service for you all.

Here is the original note to cs:

Hi. I went to purchase gems and noticed that the prices are the regular prices, although the flags on the tabs still say "sale". Please fix. I'm not going to purchase gems at full price when they are being advertised as being 20% off. I opened both versions of Bakery and Restaurant Story. Same issue on all. Legally... This is an issue. I went so far as to try selecting a package, but the iTunes purchase confirmation also reflected the full price.

Thanks for your immediate attention.

...............................
I also sent several follow-on emails with the ticket number and screen shots. The note was sent well before 12:00AM pacific think closer to 9pm. Same time zone.

I rcv'd no response other than automated system conf. I also left msgs posted here in 2 different areas. I did receive a response not too long after the sale tabs were removed stating sale expired. Clearly NOT helpful or even relevant. I responded again restating my issue.

Bottom line, I'm out of luck. I was unable to purchase at the CORRECT discounted price. I was informed that the "sale" tabs had been removed, "sorry for any inconvenience" however this didn't address any of the issues.

1. The prices were at full price on my screen during the sale, preventing me from purchasing.
2. The prices were listed as sale today when they were full price (deceptive and misleading- legal issue)
3. Lack of customer support caused delay and therefore no purchase.

We exchanged a few emails, end result im out of luck, anyone who purchased today believing they were purchasing at a discounted rate is also out of luck unless they happen to contact customer support or have legal knowledge.

I was polite, they were polite... And nothing in the way of customer support/rectification/assistance was provided.

I'd post the SS, but teamlava has them, served me no purpose lol. And I don't have photobucket.

The issue is pretty simple, teamlava does little to extend goodwill even when it's their substantiated and documented error.

LOL... I know... That one gets me too. It's basically, yet again, deceptive practices. I swear you'd think teamlava doesn't have an attorney? They're heading for a real lawsuit at this rate. The free theory ends the moment anyone purchases gems. Your statement that you purchased because their app promises (published description) updates every week is what's going to get them in a bind if someone gets frustrated enough.

I'm not talking about the complaining from the folks who downloaded the free app and want more more more... And I'm not out to ruin the games... I love the games!!! I want them to BE BETTER, last longer and grow!! I agree that teamlava just needs to start delivering on their published statements and focusing on customer care, or remove the statements they don't intend to honor. No company can survive in this market without customer retention. The well will run dry and competitors will take note.

I feel better knowing that i'm not the only one! lol

But back on topic- is anyone really going to sue because of the wording in the description of the game? If you have the money for that, it would be easier to just buy the gems. I'd love to see weekly updates too but how about a little credit for the recent update?

And to the OP- it's a shame that you missed the sale but we're only talking a few dollars here.

Lol... You didn't ask that did you? It's the US!!! and who knows? But, the issue didn't just affect me. Remember there are errr 1,000's(?) of players? Then do the math.... People who weren't able to purchase, people who purchased believing the prices were discounted? For 275, the discount was $10, for an iphone game... I'd say that's a significant amount. Some people here have law degrees/passed exams... Some attorneys forego retainers for % of settlement.... Depends how many more times teamlava frustrates consumers? Lol too many variables. But Apple learns of deceptive pricing type issues and better chance teamlava will have some explaining to do to them. I just think it's about time teamlava started performing up to the same standards you'd expect from any other corporation/retailer... Which is what they are.

I have no idea what kind of revenue they're bringing in, but why risk losing it because of low internal standards? Did you try using the orig Valentine's apps? Frustrating to see especially because I enjoy the games so much!!

Exactly! I love the games, too, but they could be soooo much better if TL just had some respect for it's own customers. I hate the gem traps, lack of confirmation, the Magic Boxes, all the buggy apps...updates that are not updates in the real sense. I don't expect them to give me everything for free. I was willing to buy gems and I have done so on many occaisions. But saving new content only for the Boxes is a bad business strategy. I've been burned enough from the Boxes. I'm willing to pay to get the nicer things...I just want a choice. So many people have said this over and over...a lot more people would buy gems. That and the total lack of any explanations or communication....I agree...they are not long for the business world. I'm already playing other games where you are treated fairly.

Surely, being a lawyer and all, you must understand that INTENT is necessary for what you are suggesting.

The mere action of having prices wrong does not imply intent. Intent also isn't implied because you perceive that they are doing other things that are shady like having gem traps. You're missing an entire IMPORTANT piece of the legal puzzle.

They were informed, corrected the ERROR, and now it's fine. They have done everything they need to do to prove that their intention is not to show one price and charge people something else.

Norman: Your customer service people suck. I've gotten an incorrect canned reply to a question I didn't ask - then sent the same question from another email and received an actual response. I have also waited weeks for a reply, sent a follow up question and gotten a reply within minutes. Someone there isn't doing their job, though really that isn't any different than any other company.

Wow... Lookie there at the snarky tone. Lmao!! I think unfortunately you totally missed my general point. Ill make it easy... Mistakes that involve revenue are irresponsible and avoidable and CAN and DO open companies up to legal action. Heard of any statements regarding refunds? Anyone?

Remember the yet to be settled class action suit against storm? That was a "mistake" too. Anyone figure out the relationship between Storm and teamlava btw? I'm just curious

I'm certainly not going to spend time drilling down a hypothetical legal argument... But let's say you're a little off the mark... Lmao!!! pssst seen the app description?

Again... It's more about teamlava getting their ducks in line. Im investing my $ in their company... I'd like a little more customer satisfaction from their product. If you were to swap out teamlava for say IBM, would your expectations be the same? If you were dissatisfied with your purchase, wouldn't you be able to return it within a specific allotted time frame? Is the fact that there is no recourse for consumers available at this time why there seems to be little effort extended by teamlava? Anyways... Blah blah blah... I hadnt been on since the original posting time frame, but your response amused me... So thanks.

PS Understaffed forums are great for causing strife amongst the wrong parties.. Say like 2 disgruntled customers?

Argghhhh。。 i just can't stop myself lmao!! I can see where you might have misunderstood my posts to mean "buggers, I'm suing!" lmao, but that wasn't my intent... The conversation meandered a bit. My intent was to point out that some issues are not simply a matter of customer satisfaction and some issues can indeed lead to legal issues.

Although that (paraphrasing here) "new content added weekly" is misleading. Wow... Poop sentence structure.
