I see having the deep frier is going to make these events even a little harder. I was just asked for 3000 servings of lemon doughnuts which would be a total of four hours of cooking and a bunch of ingredients and only for 3 cruise coins. So unless I already have these dishes on my counter it will have to be an immediate refresh.

i started wondering about if it is right for me to start on cruise event in the middle of the night during last cruise event.
if i started to accept in the middle of the night, and game refresh time is 3pm for me (counting as 1 day passed), then, did i lost half a day in this regards to fulfill the cruise order? (and in this way, cruise event will end half a day before others?)
if i hold on to it, and only start the event in my next game refresh (refreshing time so that i could send out gift to nrb again), will it be more to my advantage, timewise?

Yeah... the cruise is first released about 9.5 hours before the 'new day' starts, so if you want to maximize the time to complete each day it is best to wait and start just after the 'new day' starts, at midnight Pacific time (whatever time that is wherever in the world you are.)

That said, the first few days tend to be pretty 'easy' and I find myself waiting quite a bit up between days until the last couple of days. It's totally up to you. Best of luck! :-)

i found it pretty easy at the beginning of last cruise event (alaska?) as well, but found it impossible in the last two days. perhaps it is also working against me as the order refreshed keeps needing me to fulfill long hour orders, and same material required for dishes i need to cook, and fulfill giving the material.
i did not complete the last event :(

The quest for 22 days is the time to tell u the latest time to start the cruise.
In other words, if u start the cruise after 12 days, u will not have enough time to completing a 10-day cruise and a 22-day quest to get the recipes.

I know a lot of people may not be noticing this, since so many turn their chairs around or store them away during catering events, but I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem and hopefully bring it to the attention of TL.

It is recommended to not play both versions at the same time.
I would recommend closing out your regular game and just playing on the Halloween version for now.

Also, are there any other basic strategies I should be employing? I know I read that it may make more sense to refresh ingredient requests if they have a long refresh time and I did that last time but still failed miserably on the last day.

All of my customers are being served.
Make sure that all your waitpersons are serving and none of them are stuck behind something.
Also make sure your waitpersons can get to all your food counters.

I am just about to download the bew app, so will report back if I figure it out.
One thing I know from previous double-versions, is you need to close out of both completely before opening the other, otherwise they don't sync up and get confused/confusing. If you close both, open one, close it, then open the other, do they ask for the same food then?

It would be really nice to get event orders that aren't all from the same 2 to 3 appliances.

Both versions are NOT in sync for my account. I even have different things cooking and my pantry items are all messed up. Please fix!

u can't "close" ur restaurant as when u log out customers still get served even if u have an item in front of the door, but by turning round or storing chairs u can lower the amount of food ur customers consume therefor leaving more food on ur counters to send to the boat. having no chairs available can glitch ur game and food can vanish from ur counters, but by leaving even just 1 chair available the game is still serving customers and doesn't glitch out :)

refreshing some of the low coin dishes can take longer than actually cooking them, I try to not cook dishes that need salmon, onions, peppers etc unless they are needed for the boat but still try and keep 6 of each in storage, I collect 4 a time, so when it asks for the long refresh items mi already has 6 available and another 4 ready to buy to send in thier way :)

also before u send ur last dish to the boat for that day to complete it, refresh ur other dishes until ur happy with what it puts up, preferably 3/4 coin dishes, u can cook those overnite and have a boost for the next day :) hopefull this helps and good luck for this cruise

fryer is not mandatory, it's a new stove available to buy and keep at lvl 50

... Great this works for you, but some people including myself lost entire counters full of food employing this method.

When I saw that making two rounds of onion rings was worth only 3 boat coins, I couldn't help but giggle. That resource-hogging, time-consuming recipe, along with all the other complicated deep fryer recipes, surely is worth 6 coins, not 3! Not even 4 coins is enough.

I completed the last event glued to event almost every moment. I think this time will be easier cos we can now load food from counters. So cook long hours food and store it on your counters. Block your customers from the tables. I won't try to level up during event. I think we are challenged according to level. So levelling up will open up more recipes which you aren't ready for. I store long hours items in pantry, threw out the short hours ones. This is my second event, I'm learning as I go. Good luck to you. :)

Since hammer is so rare I will save hammers for one more pantry expansion before I go for fruit market upgrade. So far so good. But it's always the ****er last day.

Not sure why my cruise seems to ask me for food that I don't have on my food counters. I have 16 counters full of mixtures of medium to long hours food. Is it just me or someone else is also having this issue? I'm just wondering if the game is fixed in such a way that it doesn't ask for counter food. :confused::D

Not sure why my cruise seems to ask me for food that I don't have on my food counters. I have 16 counters full of mixtures of medium to long hours food. Is it just me or someone else is also having this issue? I'm just wondering if the game is fixed in such a way that it doesn't ask for counter food. :confused::D

the cruise doesn't specifically ask for food that's on ur counters, it can ask for any that's available at ur lvl, even if u haven't unlocked them. The reason people stack counters for the cruise is that if u already have for example: surf and turf on ur counters, u can use already cooked instead of having to wait for lobster and then have to cook 2 more full batches. If u get given a dish u already have on ur counter it's a bonus boost and saves time cooking :)

I know it can asks for anything open to me at my level. I'm just saying it doesn't seem to ask for stuffs already cooked for the last few days. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe its app behaviour, idk. I'm just wondering if other players face the same as me. :) maybe the app detects what's cooked, so it doesn't ask for it lol.

It's just a coincidence! I've been stocking up 4 coin dishes on the counters and I've been able to use them on a few orders. Keep refreshing until you get the order you want.

so far i have only been able to use two times (stuff on counter), but in one of the occasions the dish count was already low anyway.
today i hv to deliver 10 peppers, and after delivering order on second slot, refresh order gave me quiches... which is also heavy on pepper as well.... i guess that is just my luck.

I, too, posted about the deep fryer recipes earlier in this thread; couldn't believe the onion rings were only 3 coins.;). While a temporary solution is to refresh the fryer items away, I am concerned that all that refreshing will cause costly time-crunches during those last tougher days. Yikes!

The first time I gave them the onion rings because I wanted to finish the day. But then they kept asking and I refreshed. They wanted lemon donuts back to back. Then I for fried fish for two coins and fried chicken for two coins. Refreshing constantly is what made me not finished during the last goal. I kept getting one coin dishes or absurd ones I refused to oblige.

Not since the first one like this, have I used gems to go to the next day early or to finish the day. I'm saving my gems to see if we have some type of appliance sale or something for Black Friday, since I doubt I'll buy any.

I'm waiting for the next day, but I swear the requests are getting more zany.

Its based on time to cook. One hour recipes are 2 coin. The prep time, cost, appliance, servings, profit and anything else aren't considered. I sent house spiced onion rings once because I had so many, but otherwise I have been refreshing deep fryer recipes.

No idea about this specifically, but the halloween version is compatible with the cruise, and nothing has been mentioned (unless I missed it) about android devices having trouble with either. Try it, and see? Just be sure not to switch back and forth between regular & halloween verions quickly, can cause problems with synchronization.

Does anybody else find a higher than proportional request for the fryer recipes?
I agree that they don't seem to give enough coins, but the *are* consistent based on the time it takes to cook. 2 coins for up to an hour. 3 coins for 2 hours. 4 coins for 4+ hours. Seems these rates are the same for ingredients based on collection time.

The fryer recipes also yield a large number of coins for sales, so I think that makes giving them to the cruise seem even worse.
I still have my filled order for fish and chips (from the first day) sitting in my cruise ready to go. I'll send it eventually. ;-)

Good advice! If a dish can be cooked in 30 minutes or less, then actually cooking it would be smarter than refreshing.

They just disappear. I will delete lower coin earning dishes, or things with a lower number of servings.

I have also found that if an item requires you to 'learn' it, it offers an extra coin than it woukd normally.
But 1 hr seems to be 2 coin, 1.5-3 hours is 3 coins, and 4 hours plus is 4 coins.

If all counters are full, they just disappear and you don't get coins for it. I keep an counter to store the remainder of the expensive dish. If it's a cheap dish, I don't bother.

This method had helped me to save time refreshing. I used this in my first and previous cruise, the Alaskan. Although I read the general advises on forum was to refresh, I didn't cos those 1 coin dish kept coming back. I found it faster to submit 1 coin dish when I had the ingredients, saved time and earn some gems along the way. In fact this worked so well that I posted in the Alaskan thread. Hopefully it helped other newbies like me.

I have not been asked as ingredients orders but yes for recipes. I precook lobster Thermidor and saved 10 lobsters and 10 butters to prepare whatever lobster recipes my cruise asks for. Imho it's more economical to cook with them since I can do a few 4 coins dishes with 10 lobsters. :-) I'm learning as I go. Maybe other players have different advise. Completed my day 9.

As far as I know only lobster recipes are ordered during cruises: lobster Thermidor, lobster sandwiches and lobster bisque. If I were you, I'd use those lobsters and butters to make dishes and stock up on 4 coin ingredients such as mayo or peas instead.

I'm praying i wont have to spend many gems but i did get a *rare* gem sale recently and got 120 for $2 so its not a huge loft.

I'm the exact opposite. The first 7 days it didn't ask for 3 or 4 coins dishes I had on my counters so I had to cook despite refreshing so many times it still didn't ask and I was losing time. First 7 days were mostly 1 or 2 coins dishes. For Day 8 and 9, I was able to serve several dishes from my counters without refreshing.

I tend to think it's random like catfoodie said. For the first 7 days of this event (also my first time trying loading food from counters), I wondered why I pre-prepared the food. But things changed for Day 8 and 9. Don't give up, keep refreshing. Good luck. :)

I guess it is easier for me because on level 54 I have all recipes unlocked (except deep fryer) and also have 2 appliances for each, so I tend to do most of the orders and have almost all 4 coin dishes on my counters...I definitely didn't take level differences in consideration:/ I hope in day 10 you will have more luck and ship would ask for only unlocked recipes!:D

im at level 36 so im at that weird stage where i havent unlocked a few 4 coin dishes so it really sucks that i have to refresh those immediately. My technique for saving ingredients is to store (10 less my shelf quota) & constantly remain there for high end ingredients, so as to conserve pantry space.

So, all my pantrys are at 4, I keep lobster, salmon, onions, peppers & mushrooms at 6 if I can, or just under till I can top up one by one, in the market to reach 6.

Then, when they ask for peppers, I can instantly buy 4 more & that's a 4 coin order ready to go, instantly.

I try to leave a gap of ten space in my pantry, for loading up a recipe, at times it can be tight.

If I must delete something, it's basil or garlic. Sometimes cheese, lettuce or bread.

That being said, I don't remember ever being asked for 10 lobster!!!!

So you have already done the right thing, in cooking lobster Thermidor, bisque or sandwiches.

I haven't missed a cruise yet but I have an awful lot of free time....

My second cruise. Much, much easier being able to load from counters.


Hello everybody! I hope you can help me, because I don't understand well how this counters trick works... I'm saying that because when a food finish cooking and I move it from appliance to counter, if I quit the game and come back later, the food disappears (and coins are rewarded to me) even if I blocked all clients and no one entered the restaurant. So, or I leave the food in the appliances or I lose the food and cannot use it (for instance the next day when the new step unblocks). Am I doing something wrong or did I not understand well somethings? I would appreciate if someone could explain me...

This may sound stupid but have you removed all your chairs ? Honestly, you have to because blocking the door does NOT work, unlike other games I have played.

The game will usually quick-sell all of your inventory if you block the door to your store. When you block the door, you may not see the customers coming in, but the system will still recognize them walking in and buying your items. When you open your door again, the consumption that took place while your door was blocked catches up, which is why it looks like you instantly lost all of your items.

If you want to avoid the quick-sell, don't block your door.

(1) Turn your chairs so that the robots cannot sit and eat. Leave one seat for one robot to eat. This will conserve the food on your counters.
(2) Alternatively, block the path to your tables so they can come in but not sit down. The food on your counters remains untouch.

Try either (1) or (2). Both work. Try it.

You have to finish all gems orders for each day before entering the next day. Every next day is blocked until you finish the current day.

The new day wouldn't start until you load 500 gems worth food. So if you manage to do it in 10 hours, you would still have to wait 14 hours until the new day. If it takes you more than 24 hours to load food worth 500 gems, then you just continue until you do it, and then the new day starts immediately. But you have to remember that the cruise is only there for 10 days so if you not finishing days within 24 Hours you might fall behind and not have enough time to complete the event. So for example if you still on day 9, but you started event 10 days ago, you will have to do 2 days worth of gems (500+600=1100, the gem amount varies depending on the day) in one day.
I think that on the first day it is okay to fall behind since it doesn't take a lot of gems to progress, but on the last few days I would really try to fill orders and finish the day within the 24 hour period.

I block the door, the host AND the counters, in addition to turning all chairs sideways. Haven't sold a single serving of food since the cruise started.

Storing away all the chairs also works, I guess? Good luck!

The timer on the cruise page says it departs in 6 days but the Beef Wellington goal in the menu says 13 days left. Which is the accurate measure of the time I have left? And what time do these things usually start/end, since it's 10:30 am in DS and 2:30 pm in FS2, etc.

Hey there. :) The first day starts when you click on the cruise. Subsequent days start at game reset time, 7am GMT. You have 24 hours to finish goal for the day. 13 days left means the cruise will end in 13 days for those who choose to start later. The recent Country Fair event in FS2 was styled to these cruises. I had to throw away a couple things, but finally I finished a couple hours ago.

Now I can hopefully get rid of some food to free up my stoves. I have 16 lobster begging to be used! Please about 14 mushrooms. I never have that much at one time. And my space is limited, since I want to use my maps for a feature expansion.

Good luck everyone! If they keep giving you items you need to cook but your counters are full, it may be hard to do, but throw something away to make what theyre asking for.

Can you please answer another puzzling question? I thought the dog was the last item to get. Then after that, you get Alfie the guard to visit your restaurant.

Being the last day of the cruise, that is Day 10, the day I have to get the dog...shouldn't I get 600 gems worth of food to make and deliver to the ship? But my game only shows 500 gems? I'm really confused. Is there another day tomorrow, with 600 gems? And if so, then what's after the dog? I'll see if I can take a screenshot and post it here...

In my screenshot, it says 440 gems, but that's after I loaded a dish. It started with 500. And the dog is what I'll get after I've done 500 gems. So then, is there another day after today with 600 gems?!

Alfie himself is the grand prize, you have to complete day 10, (the day after day 9 with the dog), to get him. If you stop once you get the dog, you will not win Alfie. I hope you can make it!

As LonePudding said, Alfie is the grand prize. This event is 10 days, dog is on Day 9. Don't give up, keep going. You can make it. :) Give it a try, you have come so far.

Just to add, the previous day unlocks the next day. I guess that's what the post meant. Day 8 unlocks the dog, the dog unlocks Alfie.

Thank you so much to everyone for all the info and tips here! I only started playing a couple of weeks ago but was able to get through day 9 and got my Corgi! It was a real challenge with pantry capacity of 40 and no street market. But I made it and also just upgraded my pantry to 45 today.

Will try to get through day 10 tomorrow but won't have too much time to play. Super happy to have all the deco and the Corgi!!! :)

You get gems by cooking and serving beef Wellington. You will need sauces from Alfie to cook it. Each serve gives gem(s). So far I got 1.

Hi! I am having the same problem. Alfie shows up rarely and only gives 1 sauce when the recipe requires 12. I have only been able to collect 5 sauces so far.

Well they ofer playing games, if you install it you get 30 gems and then if you level up you get 15+, I think it's pretty good. And beef Wellington might give 1+ gems but at least alfie visit every 1,5 hours so you pretty much can cook beef Wellington every 1-2 days, so I consider it's pretty good deal.

Alfie should be visiting every 1.5 hr. I still receive gems after mastering Pistachio Pyramid Cake from the Egyptian cruise event, so it should for this one. I am not using mastery spice on this; there is no rush to master it.

You need not master the recipe before 11 days, there's no time limit. Some players start the cruise later, so 11 days is the latest of completion of cruise and collect first time from Alfie (say hi to Alfie goal). You can ignore the 11 days if you have completed cruise and hi Alfie goal.

Considering that any additional chef costs 250 gems and the additional plate 100 gems (if I well remember), it can take from 3 months to 2 years only to go to breakeven (depending on what one bought), assuming to play quite all days of the year. This is very disappointing. It was my first completed cruise, but considering that I have a work and a family so i cannot stay 8 hours a day playing this game and therefore without any help I could not finish any cruise, well, this for sure was my first and last cruise.

It was my first completed cruise, but considering that I have a work and a family so i cannot stay 8 hours a day playing this game and therefore without any help I could not finish any cruise, well, this for sure was my first and last cruise.
Yes yes yes, disappointing indeed.
I can say from expirience that on higher levels it's much easier to complete it and I definitely don't spend 8 hours in game. I would just suggest playing at your own pace and try it when you would be higher level. I'm sure you would see a difference! Also cruise events usually have cool decor too so you might just aim for some prizes and not necessarily the recipe.

Can someone please tell me, do we still earn coins for the food we serve to the cruise? I don't know whether to use spices on them or not.

You don't sell the food that goes to the cruise, only the occasional leftovers, so using simple spice or the house blend on cruise orders would be a waste. :/

The mastery spice still works since its effect takes place when the dish is finished, regardless of where the food goes afterward.

I've passed up on delivering spiced food from my counters on previous cruises (even 4 coin dishes!), simply because the idea of losing that much money made me uncomfortable. Now I just give up on leveling and making money altogether to completely focus on finishing the catering event.

I just got a 4 star order for fajitas, which is a recipe I have not yet learned. I hate to get rid of a 4 star order, since they have been few and far between at level 17, but is the extra time involved in cooking the recipe for the first time going to slow me down too much?

Fajitas normally need 2 hours to craft, how long does it take for you to learn and cook? Don't forget after you learnt, you need to cook another round to make the order amount. At least 4 hours. So I'll discard if I were you. Yes it's painful to discard 4 coin recipe for but I think you have better chance doing 3 coins recipes instead of fajitas which you have not learn. IMHO. Good luck. :)

I was leaning towards discarding it, or possibly saving it to prep for tomorrow after I get the Corgi because then time won't matter as Alfie won't unlock until midnight. The 4 star recipes have been worth 100 gems today, 2 stars are 25, 1 star is 8/9. Haven't had any 3 stars yet.

Ok thanks for the info! I just have so many things I need coins for! I'm level 44 and have needed to buy the drink machine for a couple of levels now, I have a chateau oven to buy, and I need to expand the fruit stand. It sucks that we can't make hardly any coins during cruise events. If we're catering for the cruise, the cruise should still be paying us!

Ohhhh 4 coins dish is 100 gems!?! I thought it was 60 gems or so. Now I almost regret saying skip it but I think fajitas takes hours to learn. I hope you managed to get your corgi. I must say this time is easier than the last Alaska cruise. I am going to complete it at 01:15 which will be 14 hours before deadline. I was at level 40, then 41 and tried not level up to 42. I don't know why I was never asked to cook any pizza in both cruises. Anyway, you guys are very helpfiul. Information here are very useful. I shouldn't have failed the Wedding cruise if I have come here. Thx a lot. Good luck to those who are still on way working on it!!!

I didn't notice before that it said how long to learn. It was 10 hours. I started learning it right after I started the the last order to win the Corgi (he's sooo cute!!) so the first batch was ready this morning. But today 4 star orders are only worth 75/76 gems which is not nice of them. I should still be able to finish though. :)

I'm confident you'll complete the cruise, I'm cheering for you and other players who are still doing the cruise. Tuffykitten, you are doing such an amazing job. Imagine a level 18 player completing a cruise. That's awesome! Of course by the end of this cruise you would probably gone up several levels lol. Good luck! :D

Thanks! I was able to start the cruise at level 10, so I have gone up 8 levels already. I honestly didn't think I'd get this far, but now I'm not giving up. The current difficulty is that every order wants me to use the commercial range. I just sped thru 5 order refreshes looking for something that used a different appliance and never got one. Oh well, I have all 3 and 4 star orders right now so I guess that's good at least. :)
