Spin to Win nr. 2

For the next 7 days we get to take a spin on the wheel every 22 hours. The prizes are similar to those of the previous installment of this feature: 5 animals (4 being rereleased animals, and 1 new animal that was and is only available through this wheel), gems, realm runes, decoration, food and coins.
Note that the gem cost for additional spins has dropped from 30 gems to 25 gems.

I have none of the animals and I lost out on the Cactus Kitsune as I couldn't breed the Solar Simian in time. I also missed out on the Slippopotamus, which was the prize animal for -IIRC- the very first tournament that I could play in. I like all of the animals, I just hope that the outcomes this time will be fairer than they appeared to be the previous time. For now, I plan to just take the free spins. I doubt I'll spend gems on it. If the Nightmare appears on one of those wheels, that might be a different matter. :O

The Ampeater, Arboar and Slippopotamus are previous Battle Arena prizes. The Cactus Kitsune was part of a goal line. The Fallmingo is a new animal.

My second spin, it was kind of slow and after a couple dozen times around, it sped back up before the finish. They definitely have some work to do on the way the wheel functions.

This was very disappointing wheel. The only thing worse for me than 25,000 coins would be the duplicate decoration. There were only 3 slots that I would like to have, the Fallmingo, 10 Gems and the 3 Realm Runes. I did not get one of them. Four times with the 25,000 coins. Very disappointed.

I can't complete tournaments, I can't breed animals for goal lines or trios in time, I can't breed what I try for. So all my luck seems to come here!

I'm not going to buy spins. I spent 210 gems on spins last time and regretted it: the only thing I got that I wouldn't have gotten with a little more patience was a Chimpala. But that's water under the bridge now. I'll just be happy with whatever I get with my free spins this time around :)

Did anyone notice that the wheel that we actually use is quite different than the wheel on the Splash screen? The order of the slices are different and the Splash screen uses an Adult form of the animal while my wheel shows the baby form.

The second wheel also seems to be a relative match to the first one. The one decoration changed and the 5 animals changed. The Runes, Apples, Gems and coins are in the same relative spot on the wheel and the same denominations. The five animals and the decoration are in the same relative spots as well.

Each wheel has had 1 new animal, 3 animals that were Battle Arena prizes and 1 other animal. Last time they used the Chimpala which was a limited animal and this time they are using the Cactus Kitsune which was the result of a special breeding goal line.

A funny thing happened to me on the first spin. I landed on a Slippopotamus (which I already have) which is on the same spot on the wheel relative to the new animal that the Steamtrunk was in for the first wheel. I landed on the Steamtrunk for the first spin on the first wheel.

One idea for S8 would be to allow us to trade an animal that we get with a spin for another spin rather than store it. Otherwise, my duplicates will probably end up in permanent storage.

I hope everyone gets a few animals from the wheel that they want.

Okay, I was so hyped for the Flamingo! Maybe one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen in this game (tie with Hummingburn and Matripony)! I was hoping to get it on my 1st spin, so I chanted "Fallmingo" 3 times consecutively and guess what happened!:o I got it!:p See maybe the saying, "3rd time is a charm!" really is true! One the last spin wheel, I also got the Hummingburn on my 1st try and later a Bulldog! Finally some cheer after not being able to breed Captain K9! So happy right now!:D Now to try for the rest of the animals, except for the Cactus Kitsune which I have!

I didn't notice the layout similarities, but those are very interesting observations. I agree the trading idea would be amazing, but I doubt it would ever happen. However, it would be nice if we had the option to give up any duplicate animals we may get for another 'Free Spin' on the wheel.

I've been thinking a lot about the possibility of trading animals. I know S8 wouldn't allow it because players would spend less on gems to buy animals outright if they could just trade, but it would be a nice feature if traded animals could be offered between neighbours at a *discounted* fixed cost of gems-per-trade that S8 would get (not the owner of the traded animal) for the service. Players would still be spending gems that S8 would receive and be happy that they received an animal they really needed through the community. Just a thought.

Apparently the wheel is a little different if you are level 10-13. You can only get Fallmingo, Slippopotamus, and Arboar, and the amounts of the other prizes differs. Also the cost of additional spins is less.

Sadly my work schedule and such makes it hard for me to get to spins when the timer goes off, so I probably won't get as many free spins as I could. When a goal game comes along I always "trigger" its "install goal" in some 8 S8 games that I can see myself playing more fervently in the future (or that are current goal games themselves). Today the Restaurant Story 2 Halloween goal came up so I triggered it in several games, and this time I also included DS. I saw an active "Spin to Win" feature there, gave it a spin and got... a Seabreeze dragon. As I don't really play DS I have no idea if that's a good one or not, but why can't the same happen for me in FFS? It would be so nice to get an animal so easily on the one and only account where it really matters...
Anyway, as written before, I FULLY expect to NOT get a single animal out of the wheel.

Yeah, it'd be nice if we could sell stuff directly from Storage. Rather than have to hatch (in the case of animals) or place (in the case of decorations) something before being able to sell it.

Or, give people an option to choose between collecting the animal or exchanging it for something like food/runes.

Wrong place - this thread is for the FFS spin to win, not DS. :) The daily timer counts down from the time you make your spin, but the event may end before that. You can see the event ending time on the small wheel sign on the right of your game screen. It ended with the Humble Harvest update.

I had none of the animals on the wheel, and really wanted the Cactus Kitsune (I love foxes. And things with many tails) and the new Fallmingo. I think the Slippopotamus, which is a new animal for me (yay!) is going to sit in the storage though :/

And despite telling myself NOOOO!!! DON'T DO IT!! I still went and bought two spins, with useless wins. Should've just kept the gems for the Prize Pony or something.

My poor results this spin could be due to what happened with Spin No.1; I had the Hummingburn, 3 Chimpalas, and 1 Rumblebee. Back then I had bought 3 spins too, which just gave me 1 Chimpala and food. Hopefully this means Spin 3 will have better results? /crosses fingers

Well for once I wanted gems or runes or food from a wheel and all I got was duplicate animals. I am now the proud owner of 3 arbor and 2 slippopotomus eggs in storage. Woo.

I started off with only the Cactus Kitsune from this wheel, now I have every animal but the Ampeater! I'm convinced all my luck in this game goes to the wheel. I can't complete tournaments, I can't breed animals for goal lines or trios in time, I can't breed what I try for. So all my luck seems to come here!

Yay!! At least you getting something out of it. I am hoping that may be someday my luck would change too.

Thanks so much! *hugs* My goal with the baby account is to not spend any gems at all. I'll still accumulate them, but they'll just sit there for something extra special (whatever that may be).

Vampire Cat is one of my favorites and it's pretty unique too...I wouldn't mind a second one! :)

Isn't the Yak-o-Lantern the one that looks somewhat "devilish" with flaming horns when he attacks? It's a spooky yet intriguing animal!
I sure hope we can get all of those animals again ESPECIALLY the Nightmare and the Skeletal Dragon: those are two of my hard-core "must haves", and are probably the ONLY non-gem, and non-treasure animals I'd consider buying on a good sale, or buying spins for on the wheel that has not been favourable to me before....
Last time I only got 1 animal in 8 free spins plus some 7-8 paid spins. This time round I only used the free spins and exactly as predicted I did not get a single animal. The extra stuff is welcome of course, but with those odds I'm not tempted to buy spins. I would not know how to go about a Spin to Win with a Nightmare and Skeletal Dragon on it. I'd definitely like to try until I'd get them then, but I don't like the way the wheel doesn't favour my forest....

These animals would be welcome , but not on the wheel or as breedables. I wouldn't mind them all together in a value pack ( wishful thinking :p )
Don't mind them as goal oriented prizes either.
But when it comes to the wheel and breeding trios or special animals , I have a very dismal record:(

You're right, now that I think about it more I was confusing him with the Pumpkin Panda during battles. But yes, he has a pumpkin head with hollowed out eyes and horns. I hope they come up with equally spooky creatures this year!
