It starts at 1 a day. Feeding it up to epic will get you 5 a day. After you get it to level 10(Don't Bother going higherhigher, they don't produce any more than 5 a day) it will take you 4 months for this to get you back what you spent.

They will produce 10 gold but the habitat can only hold 5, so either have 2 habitats or collect from them twice a day to get all 10 :)

Sow, my fifth gold-giving dragon, and 5th treasure terrace :) Can't buy another habitat, so this will be my last dragon until they raise the limit: I hate losing gold due to it only holding max 5 gold.

25 gold per day, here I come!!! In dire need of it, for I just bought Summer Elf for 200 and since I never have more than 1,000 gold (I once lost 1,000 gold in a gold trap - buying 260,000 food, while I already had 3,600,000 food myself), I have little over 200 gold left... Happy there isn't a tournament now, because that almost always costs me 60 gold.

Those in need of a few gold, try the Volcanic Treasures-quest: it comes back with 1-10 gold (usually 1 or 2) every 3-4 tries. It's the only quest I ever do, besides the Wold Event and Dragon Tales-quests.

No, unfortunately you need to place it in a habitat. I'm currently saving for it - a little over 4 million coins more to go. Even if I can't get enough coins before the sale ends, I'm going to buy it and let it sit on the nest until I have a habitat for it. Good luck!

This is my first treasure dragon and so happy to get it. I tried to buy one a while back but there was a problem and another dragon was substituted that was not a treasure. Yeah, the one habitats only hold five gems, so you just have to collect twice a day. Should be easy. I had three of the old ones that held ten gems, so I had two in each, but now have five habitats and spread them out a little, to make my island neater. I cant wait for the other ones. Ive 3 more to go!

At 3 gold a day which is 18 more gold to receive and doing some quests wouldn't you have enough gold. Or surely being a well known member friends can chip in and send you daily gold for the next few days.

Seems such a shame to be short just 24. Hope you get it in time!

Depends on how you have your google play account set up. I have mine where I need to enter my goggle password each time for a purchase. I was able to change method of payment to a visa giftcard I have for stuff like this. Hope that helps!!!

I keep my gold producing dragons at Level 7 so they produce 4 bars a day because of the large amounts of food needed to level up to 10 , except for Stainless steel who is L10 because he ate less to level up than the others :)

Congrats! And no you're not bankrupt, it's an investment, a cute one btw, that will give you steady income in the future. I bought my 1st gold dragon at the beginning of this year and with its help up to now I was be able to buy a numbers of pretty gold habitats and some dragons in the market. White Gold is my 2nd one and it's just become epic now. It looks absolutely gorgeous :o

I recommend that you should have your White Gold epic asap. But since we're having a Dragon Tales now, you could having it going up to at lv7 and leave it there until you finish the event.

There is something very special about the way the gold accumulates and the timing of collecting is very important. I don't remember the details, but I am sure someone will come along with the specifics for you. I remember the article said if you collect you reset the timer and so it is important to collect at specific intervals. I just don't remember what they are, I am sorry. It all sounded rather complicated.

I keep my gold producing dragons at Level 7 so they produce 4 bars a day because of the large amounts of food needed to level up to 10 , except for Stainless steel who is L10 because he ate less to level up than the others :)

Got mine hatched finally and feed to 3, evolving now. Now I'm just trying to decide if I have enough to do the tales and still feed my gold dragon. Just started tales with maple on the nest. Have 50k food on hand and just continuing to plant lower food (eliteleeks now) so I don't go broke. Last tales decimated my coin stash by half trying to plant to keep up. I just got my coin stash back up when gold dragon went on sale and had to spend 8 million on habitat. That left me with 4 million coins. Think I'm just going to play tales up to the second dragon. I'll be happy with that. I just loved the nouveau dragon so much I was willing to do anything to complete that one. Not so with these new ones...

It's the same principle as the notices above the regular habitats. They pop up when they are a certain percentage complete, not when they reach their max holding capacity. (Someone may have an idea of what percent.)

No, you simply reset the timer. But I guess yes, in a way. With the dragon fully evolved, you get a gold bar every 4 hours and 48 minutes. So if you collect on a random schedule, you lose the time accrued towards the next gold bar. Say you collect your gold in the morning and then decide 12 hours later you'll collect again, You will lose about 1/2 a gold bar in time as the third bar becomes available at just past the 14 hour mark. I've read somewhere on the forum different people's solution to optimize gold collection. Usually it involves a timer.

The collect icon shows up over the treasure habitats when the timer is 9 hours 36 minutes in from your last collection - basically when there's already 2 gold in a 1-dragon habitat and 4 gold in a 2-dragon habitat, not when the gold accumulated is at maximum. Thanks for all the info, everyone. Since I hatched this dragon, I've collected only 2 gold. I've watched the clock diligently, she's at 2 gold per day so every 12 hours should work, but no luck. Will be extra careful today and see what happens. I must be doing something to muck up the timer.

Edit: Just collected 1 gold a few minutes after I posted. So in 12 hours I should get another.

I don't think that would be possible. No coins are earned during evolving, I simply assumed the same would apply to these dragons. Of course, I'd be very happy to be wrong! ;)

You have 1 lv7 gold dragon in the habitat it means 4 golds every exact 24 hours after the last time you collect from the habitat (the timer of gold generate reset once you collect from the habitat). So to avoid losing gold should collect at best 24 hours + 1 minute after your last collection.

Since you only have one dragon/habitat, your 4 gold/day profit does not exceed the 5 gold maximum that the habitat can hold. You still have the choice if you want to collect every 12 hours for 2 gold or 24 hours for 4 gold.

If you ever wonder if a dragon can breed, just try it. As far as I know, there has never been a breedable (as a parent or a child) gold type dragon. You can use gold type dragons in battle though it cuts into gold production.

As you level up and evolve the dragon you get more gold to collect. It sounds like you can only get 1 gold a day because of your dragon's level. By the time it gets to epic (lv10) it gets 5 gold a day which is the max. Otherwise it sounds like you're doing everything correctly. If you have to food try to get your dragon to epic to collect the maximum.

I tested that today (had to, I'm an IT person, couldn't help myself) but I still received the 2 gold at the time it was expected. I didn't lose a gold for looking at the close up screen. I initially thought, as per my earlier reply, that your description explained my odd first day or two. But no problem, got my gold. It should, theoretically, only be the action of activating the "Collect" action that would reset the timer - or of course the evolution process. So it is interesting, because clearly several of you have experienced a loss of gold and attributed that to the action of looking at the dragon. I certainly thought it explained my first few days, even if it seemed odd from a technical perspective (I.e. It would be odd design).

yes moving dragon into another treasure terrace does reset the timer. i confirm :D i did once in the past so now if i have to move dragon, i do only after collecting ;)

That makes sense! Totally agree. The collect flag is really a short-cut to the collect button. I feed without resetting the timer. Moving I haven't tested. I would have thought moving the habitat would be OK, but moving the dragon from one habitat to another would be different.
