How do I expand to the "Troll King's Lair" - help please

Hello - could someone please explain how to expand the Troll King's Lair? I already completed the requirements except for the wield legendary sword, excalibam, but it doesn't tell me how or where to get/make this item! I've already paid the required coins and don't want to end up paying again...

Well there is a quest line to get the sword. What do you see in your quest book?

It doesn't need to be crafted in the forge?

The forge only allows for a basic sword... This appears to be a special sword to expand in this area, which is titled Troll Kings Lair...

It's the Thurstons goal line. Have you placed his fort?

Placing Thurston's fort is a part of the storyline .if you don't have it in your goal book yet, you should have some other goal that leads to it..like finding Thurston's helmet,pants etc..have you done that yet? Can you post a screenshot of your goal Book?

Proceed with Royal Defender quest ..you have to complete about 3 more steps to open the goal for forging excalibam :) hope that helps

ok, I guess you are still confused by the posting of more screen shots (apologies if I'm wrong!)

Here is what you need to do:
1. complete the Royal Defender goal - this goal is currently in your book where you construct a Ballista. You need the Ballista in order to build Thurston's Fort.
2. [Thurston's Thirst goal] complete the upgrade of 1 Tavern to Level 4 - this goal is currently in your book as well.
These are the 2 goals that are holding you back from being able to forge Excalibam.

3. [Thurston's Fort goal] Buy and place Thurston's Fort on your board.
4. You will then get a goal called Secrets of Mithril where you have to go on the Explore Dark Caves adventure to get Mithril (or if you have one in inventory it should recognise you have one and auto complete). Once you get the Mithril, you can then forge Excalibam.
5. [The Troll King's Lair goal] - this goal is currently in your book as well.

This questline is a good example where goals split and you have several in your book at one time even though they are written step 1, step 2 etc.
