Cheers, that is what I am thinking.
I got up to the Astomancer using what i have and some luck, which i think wasn't to bad.
With so many more left to fight, its just not worth spending gold to beat this one.

I have 3 accounts level 150, level 97,and one at level 54 all on android. Level 97 and 54 have no diamonds and level 54 just acquired a champion (during this tourney). I hope this helps out those still battling, good luck to all.

Spent over 24 hrs on round 29. Rainbow sentinel final took it down after losing several times prior. I lost countless Dragons.

Awesome, congrats. Will throw that in & see what happens. Can't get much worse then last round......(knock on wood) It's been awhile since I've had one "of these" tournaments.

I've got all day you dirty rotten son of a sea dog dragon.....I've had spa lines over 40 deep, I'm not afraid to get muddy with you. I'd prefer you roll over like a 'lil puddycat but whatever you gotta do...I've tried crusader & moonlight so far as I've seen them both here as winners. No go.

Only one more round to go! After about 3 lost battles, level 1 Fire beat Black Diamond. Level 3 Laserlight popped Balloon on first try and now Sunburst went down with level 8 Mistmoth after just one loss with Celestial. :)

Its the first tournament I have been high enough level to join.
Most I have planned and after a couple tries defeated.
But with no diamond or champions I have been stuck on the random lucky hit to take out the champions and diamond enemies for days.
No I have no chance to finish.
I don't know why they have made so many random luck to pass.

Hey hun! don't lose hope. I lost my first tourney too. When I updated my game (android user here) that day only three days wrre left of tournament. I made it to last round and wasn't winning at all and I lost it. From that tourney till now I think I haven't lost any if I had played (I hope it stays the same). So fight till end even if u lose. All the best for upcoming tourneys and this one too

First tried with Astro and lost but Laserlight won Battlesteed easily on my second try. Loving my baby Laserlight right now!

Im so jealous of those who say they had no trouble. This is the third day I've been stuck on Immortal. I think its time to hang up my battle swords, with so little time left and many strong dragons ahead. I just really want a champion! :-(

Finally finished! Battlesteed was a tough opponent for me, but thanks to VermillionPT2 I was finally able to best him!

Here is my round 30 (rounds 15-29 on page 47):

My Lv 15 Diamond obviously didn't help me out here, so I wouldn't be too upset - those of you who are on android. The final champion always seems to be won on luck, IMO.

It is definitely hard to win your first few tournaments. I used Ultimate hits to win my first few champs. Then I made it a priority to level up my champs. Each time it got a bit easier (and required less gold). Eventually, I didn't need to use gold at all.

Other dragons that tend to be good fighters are the ones crafted from mining parts and from battles (parts dropping from the battle arena).

Well I finally beat Highland with Crusader on the 18th try. Have to work tomorrow so might not finish this one unless I get lucky.

Well I got lucky....up to a point. Divine took 4 tries, Balloon 2 tries, Black Diamond and Sunburst went down on the first try. Currently I am up to 4 losses on Battlesteed but will ultimate it if I have to at bedtime.

After battling several times a day and wasting gold on ultimates, I once again did not win a tournament. I have epic champs and super rares and should not have to battle the same dragon 18 times only to finally win and have the same happen with the next dragon. After doing some math on the probability of winning the flash tournaments (sleeping six hours a night and battling every single hour, you have to win about every one in three battles), I know I won't be spending any more gold to speed up or ultimate. Last two tournaments have shown me thisvis the same as flushing my gold down the toilet unless you spend it often. I had better luck in tournaments when I first started them, with no champs and one epic super rare. Something just seems wrong with that. And yes, I use the wiki as well for each battle.

Thanks! Would've tried it next had I not started the baby brigade....my 'lil electric got it down. I think I was close to 12 loses. I can't remember the last time I had such a hard time in a tournament. I've missed a few due to real life stuff, but besides that I've been doing this a long time. I'm not a "breeze right through" kinda girl but since I've got so many good dragons these days I usually do ok, as in 2,3 losses is a bad round. 15 was a bad round this week, & I had several rough spots. It is what it is. I got the prize, a bit bruised & bloodied with many tired dragons waiting to be healed up but I will recover! ;)

My final loss to this dragon and the official end to my tourney was by Diamond 15. Totally frustrated that a rare dragon is so hard to beat especially when I had no problem beating the ultra rare Black Diamond

I noticed many of the same things others mentioned..

If the computer does not want you to win with a certain dragon it wont let you even if that dragon is superior statistically. Several times when I was doing this tourney I would go with the highest odds dragons, say like my L10 champs or a L15 Diamond etc and there were several times it would not matter how many times I tried the best and highest odds, it would not win. I think there is no rhyme or reason when their computer program has you pegged for a certain dragon. I think on the last battle I tried the L15 Diamond like 5-6 times, just cycling it through the spa and trying again since it was allegedly a 25% odds and my best chance..well it didnt end up winning, I did it with a lower level one while the Diamond was in the spa again.

Another failed full tournament. :-( one of these days I'll get it! On the bright side, I FINALLY beat Divine. With goodwitch--I was actually aiming to fight with the dragon above her, but mistapped and was too fast on the battle button. Maybe I should just always battle like that, close my eyes and fight at random!

I send thanks to vermillion PTL as well! It was helpful in getting me closer to victory than in my first tournament !

Edited to say: never mind! I sped up the arena and got through the next 2 rounds in 2 minutes with fire & sapphire4 (one bash each! I think the tournament felt bad for me), so I'm just going to ultimate my way out of the last 2 rounds, since I didn't in any other rounds. Doesn't feel quite as good as winning, but at least I'll finally have a champ!
