Remove one or two animals

Is there a way to remove one or two animals, not the whole pen? I just find I don't need that many chickens or pigs but don't want to watch them jumping around or lying dead

I also don't want to buy three more sheep for the goal as the wool doesn't seem to b worth it

No I do not believe there's a way to do this. I don't think the designers would ever expected anyone to want to scale down their farm.

If you are at an advanced enough stage, you might be able to buy your second pen, populate it with the right amount, and hide your first pen in some dark corner of your farm :D

I am probably not so far ahead at only level 36ish, but I keep only one pen of each animal type (4 animals of each) and I get by just fine. Newspaper fills any gaps I might encounter.
