Need Boar Tusks, boars no longer appear or give up tusks

I need to make Troll Armor which requires boar tusks. Since then I never get boars in the usual ways (mines, strawberries). When I do get one (very rare) they don't give up tusks when I beat them. I deleted and reinstalled but no change.

Dire Boars are still dropping Boar Tusks. Keep fighting them and one of them will eventually leave behind a Boar Tusk, good luck!
