Favorite Theme. Scif-fi or Fantasy?

I love the Asimov - Foundation books but also love the LOTHR stuff.. even I can deal with the Hyperion - Shrike books..

Omg fantasy....not anything based in historical fiction......just pURE Fantasy.
Lotr and all Tolkien....especially the lost stories and the Elven, The Silmarillion I've read over and over.

A few years ago before Apple got better at gaming, I went thru and read almost every "young adult" fantasy novel....they are rad! "The unlikely ones" is an awesome example

In my 20's tho, I was all about sci-fi. Read all the classics, but lost interest beacause they were so biased for boys/men.....I hear this is changing with more female authors...if anyone can recommend any, I'd love it

Sci-fi all the way for me. I like fantasy too, but I have a particular love for sci-fi.

Especially if it's dark and gritty, which is why I love Cyberpunk so much.

Love William Gibson's writing.
Love BladeRunner, The Matrix, Dredd, and Ex Machina.
Loved Babylon 5 when it was a thing.
Cannot wait to see The Martian.

Loved playing Cyberpunk 2020 and SLA Industries, but never could get into Shadowrun.
