Leveling Buildings?

Is it true that Max Leveled Resource Buildings have better drop amounts?
If so is it just based on observations or actual gameFact?
What about max levels and rare/random drops? I wonder, would a Max Level DeepMine be more inclined to drop Mithril or Gold nuggets than a Lower Level one?

Forgive me if this has been posted before ....if it has could you point me in the right direction :)

To my knowledge the only buidling that drops more when leveling up is Wizard school.

The collection time decreases with each update. That's the advantage for upgrading.
