I'm very happy that they gave us new battlegrounds! And I love the Wyburn already. Happy with this update. We also got a new habitat, new limited animal and a new goal animal.

So, round one, skyger defeated epic pyro pony and epic toucan, both of which are supposedly strong against dark. Skyger defeated by epic ancient sloth whose elements are both neutral to dark (nature neutral, earth critical, Earth neutral).

This is going to be a long battle!!

Yea these battlegrounds are tough! I tried 4 super rares on level 4 and lost but ended up beating it with my Rock Rhino lol now I've lost 3 times on level 5 to that darned Plutopus

I am happy to see a new battleground as well. So many new special elements to try out. I purposely kept a baby of each type to try out as many combinations as I can before winning. It sounds strange, but until I get all the testing done on a particular round, I hate to see a Critical Hit. I'll probably spend a few weeks on this one.

I used this opportunity to just play around and test elements like spring and ice cream (snap dragon lvl 14 and strawberry lvl 6). I also used treent lvl 15, treasure toucan lvl 15, lucky rabbit lvl 15, smitten kitten lvl 4 or 15, lemercury lvl 7 and plutopus lvl 7 quite often. Here are the results:

I was on Level 20, which is the BOSS dark/fire, and part way through it sent me back to level 16.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I just used Lullabison's music attack vs the Shockfox, and I got Strong Attacks!

Not sure if someone already pointed this out but this means that MUSIC is STRONG vs electric or earth.

I beat it first try with Twilight Troll's dark attack. I figured darkness would be opposed to spring so the chances are pretty good. Good luck!

Ca7007, Music has weakness.

This is really confused, the same happens with the space animals, the pure space and music animals have a weakness, but this weakness is not the same with the space and music hybrids, when we face pure space and music animals, we use a certain element, but when we face space and music hybrids, we have to ignore the first element (in this case space and music elements) and use a element that is strong against the second element of this animals.

So!

Music animals

Pure Music animal - Melodeer is weak to water

BUT

Music/Earth animal - Lullabison is not weak to water, but it's weak to nature
[B]Music/Fire animal - Tubacan is weak to water, BUT this happens because this animal has fire in the elements, and fire is weak to water

[B]Space animals

Pure Space animal - Caturn is weak to earth

BUT

Space/Earth animal - Lemrcury is not weak to earth, but it's weak to nature
Space/Water animal - Plutopus is not weak to earth but it's weak to electric

I have them all no doubles just double gem animals but I have been playing since day 1 and I gotta say breeding ultras back then was soooo much easier!my advise just keep breeding for ultras there so worth the effort especially in these sort of events:)

This is really confused, the same happens with the space animals, the pure space and music animals have a weakness, but this weakness is not the same with the space and music hybrids, when we face pure space and music animals, we use a certain element, but when we face space and music hybrids, we have to ignore the first element (in this case space and music elements) and use a element that is strong against the second element of this animals.

So!

Music animals

Pure Music animal - Melodeer is weak to water

BUT

Music/Earth animal - Lullabison is not weak to water, but it's weak to nature
[B]Music/Fire animal - Tubacan is weak to water, BUT this happens because this animal has fire in the elements, and fire is weak to water

[B]Space animals

Pure Space animal - Caturn is weak to earth

BUT

Space/Earth animal - Lemrcury is not weak to earth, but it's weak to nature
[B]Space/Water animal - Plutopus is not weak to earth but it's weak to electric[B]

I just fought the Tubacan (music/fire) Level 50 BOSS, and I can confirm that earth is strong to music. Fortunately, this was a BOSS level so I tried it with several earth animals, the Magmacore, Obsidian Cyclops and Mamaroo. All were strong to music using the earth element.

Thanks for posting all the great info here!

I've been testing the Ice Cream element against everything and I've found that Ice Cream is a STRONG attack against Earth.

It also seems it is a STRONG attack against ANY combination that contains the Earth element EXCEPT for the Earth/Fire combo. Using Ice Cream against the Earth/Fire combo only registers a neutral attack. Makes sense since Fire is strong against Ice Cream.

I just wanted to let everyone know who is keeping a chart of strong attacks so you can update it to include Ice Cream against certain opponents. :)

@Ca7007: just updated my list up to level 62 (see post # 95 on page 10)

62 is a Holly Collie (nature/fire) ... So it's not an earth/fire animal :)

I didn't have this happen but I wouln't have minded it. It's not a tournament, so doing rounds two times means getting more free apples, coins and even gems depending on the rounds. I would actually love to do the whole battleground a second time!

I really like this Wyburn. One of the most beautiful animals so far. I can't wait to get him. I'm on level 15 so it will be awhile. I don't do battle grounds during tournaments because I think when I get a critical hit in the battlegrounds, it lowers my odds of getting critical hits in the tournament. I have no idea if this is accurate or not, just a hunch I had. And I am so far from expaniding I'm in no hurry since I have no where to put him just now. Good luck to all!

Not sure if anyone has already commented on this but Cosmic is strong against dark/fire. I just got critical and two strong hits against the hotdog with my Caturn. I may have to make her epic!!

Hmm, I've not seen this before, currently from my notes, Cosmic is strong to Ice Cream, maybe TL changed the things again, since Dark is now strong to Tree and Electric is strong to Valentine like before.

I just tried my Caturn against dark nature and got three strong hits. I am guessing it is strong against the dark element?

Why is it so expensive to feed this guy?
To bring him from level 10 to 11 I need 2800 apples x 5 and he brings in only 238 coins per hour at level 10

I can confirm that Cosmic is a 'Strong' attack against anything that contains the Dark element. I've been testing everything I can and it's been consistent.

That is a change from the Charger battleground. At that time Cosmic was Neutral when attacking Dark.

Yes, it seems there have been changes to the strengths/weaknesses since the tournament that glitched (the Patriotter tournament I believe?). Since then I've been re-testing everything I can in the Wyburn battlegrounds and the last tournament.

I didn't get *everything* re-tested because I don't have a Gem or Xmas animal, and for some reason I just kept winning (despite using low level commons, lol).

I've been planning on making a new post dedicated to charting the strong & weak elements but haven't had a chance to put everything down into a new chart. Hopefully I'll have time in the next few days. :)

I'm only at level 60...what I truly like about the battlegrounds is that there's no timer attached, and you can complete it at your own pace. I'll let you know when I reach level 75...in December. Lol!

Awesome! I'm finally at the Wyburn Battlegrounds. It's too bad the Wyburn is not a Super Rare: it's pretty darn awesome looking, and I like its attack animation.

Let's see how far I get/if I can get through this before the next Battlegrounds pops up.

I have lost count how many times I've lost to that piece of cow dung that is the level 20 Jade Kirin in level 75. Die Jade Kirin die!

EDIT 1: On a whim, I decided to use my level 7 Anubis Minya, and success: Minya landed a Critical Hit on the third attack to take down that Jade Kirin!

EDIT 2: And I am done with the Wyburn Battlegrounds! Now to find a time to hatch both Charger and Wyburn.

The recommendations to beat dark-fire animals are: Treasure. Wild Wondercat. Treent. Caturn. Saintly Bernard. Or any combination of the following elements: {fire, earth, water, cosmic, or service}.

Any of those will have strong attacks against the Hot Dog. Keep in mind that since it's boss level, it will take a few goes (4-6) to get it down. Good luck!

Can someone tell me which is the next battlegrounds after the Wyburn? I am behind on the battlegrounds as I do not like this part of the game. Doesn't make sense to me. The forum has been very helpful but sometimes I just try something random after many fails and it works.

Dragon Story was my first Team Lava game and I loved it. I quit for a while when they brought in the battlegrounds as I found it frustrating.

About to try the next battlegrounds after Wyburn and I have no idea what the creature is. Fire element, wings with a face like an eagle with a battle mask on. Body reminds me of a phoenix.Should have come out mid fall 2015, I think. Maybe October?

Looked through the Stickies where the Wyburn etc. info is but can't seem to see it.

I believe you are looking at the Restless Rock which is the prize at the end of the Shrieking Skies battleground.

I had to look through my album to find him. Type his name in the search and you will find the thread.

I typed it in the Search box and the only thread which came up was this one. :( :confused:

Oops I'm re-reading and wondering why you couldn't find it at first by typing the animal name as that is how I found it. Then I see that I gave you an auto corrected typo name! No problem. I found it! I couldn't figure out why the name would be Rock! Auto correct can really foul things up.
