Castle Story: 07/02/15 Update: Expansions

Every now and then, I think about music. Xylophones, triangles, and drums interest me most. Percussive instruments are just so much fun to play with! Although, I don't think my neighbors would appreciate it much. Next time, I'll have to find a different place, so I don't bother them. Definitely, I'll need more room to play!

Grandiose events! Attractions as far as the eye can see! Multitudes of people bustling about the field! Every time it comes to town, I try my best to go to the festival! The festival is my favorite place to be, you see. Entire kingdoms flock to celebrate and play games together! Nowhere else is there so much fun in one place! Think I'll win something neat this time?

Won't have to buy the pkg. I have a majority of the tickets and lanterns...and the coin cost didn't even make a dent in my millionaire coinage

Neither of your accounts have refreshed since the update. The tent pulls the prize, the 6 mini prizes, and the order of the things you get by throwing every time you log in if the 22 hours is up.

Loved the expansions!

My Troll Quarters shifted west and my mines relocated north, freeing up space for woods between them and my mills and farm. A new pasture has been added for the Alicorns, clearing a path to the Fairy Respite, and Old Thomas now lives a comfortable distance from the Library, gaining some peace and quiet away from any noisy students dashing in and out.

All in all, a very pleasant outcome, with one expansion left incomplete to work on permits again. :)

Blame Farm Story 2. I believe the code behind the tent was simply copy/pasted (probably with minor changes to allow it to work in Castle Story) from FS2 and that a Android version of that code did not exist for them to transfer to Castle Story. Storm8 has always had OS parity issues, and sadly they take a long time to resolve.

the regular game notifications that come up on an iPad included one this week which indicated expansions may be available in today's update. If you're on android, then you may not have received it. It is irrelevant whether or not you have finished expanding or not, it was a message to all players. I hope that clears it up for you.

I have a lvl 50 account that hasn't even finished the expansions from the last expansion update before this one.. I also have an Android account that does not have the tent..and I do not miss it.... the Tent is for spending gems to get the 'Special" items.. you get 3 free items and some are ok if you are lower level. Your not missing much.

All in all my point is this is pretty expected type of update considering this is on the heels of Community event.. not every update effects everyone immediately.

ps. If there were not expansions this update.. this forum would be blowing up like that SpaceX rocket.

Newbie question.......Why do we have to be careful of old logs?

If you have the Fortune Teller's Tent you can have an ongoing fortune (Glimmer Rock Fortune) where it's important not to chop all the way through an Old Log, you chop 2 times, sell it and buy a new one, because you get glimmer shards and fragments for every chop. The logs from expansions cannot be sold, so you have to hide them instead and be really careful not to chop them through by mistake, because then the fortune ends...

It's the same thing with small rock piles, there's a fortune (Sticky Fortune) giving Super Glue at every chop, so you chop 4 times, sell and buy a new one.

As for the tent - strongly dislike that thing, wish I could get rid of it, but better new prizes I won't try for there, than another collection frenzy.

I am so happy to see expansions. If you leave one expansion open and don't do it, the game will let you keep making expansion permits. So I was able to immediately do all the new expansions, but I kept one open to make more expansion permits. Not sure what else to do with my 430 trade tickets.

I am so happy to see expansions. If you leave one expansion open and don't do it, the game will let you keep making expansion permits. So I was able to immediately do all the new expansions, but I kept one open to make more expansion permits. Not sure what else to do with my 430 trade tickets.

That thing is beautiful, and it's been driving me mad ever since we started playing, trying to figure out what in the hell it is!! Others have pointed out that we have so, so much space to expand into--I wonder why TL is so slow to offer expansions. It wouldn't take much work at all to open up a nice big patch of territories for us to move to. And it would give everyone something to work on between quests and Storyline objectives.

Well, 3 possibilities immediately pop into my mind, lol:
1) TL is (& likes to be)... Stingy! Lol
2) TL is too busy planning community events, "prizes" for the Baron tent, daily trades that nobody does and figuring out where to take the main storyline to fully expand the available game board & then open it all up to us.
3) TL grew up with the old 1970's Heinz ketchup commercial and uses it as their slogan ... (Everybody sing along now, lol)

I'm hoping in the future that the forest will grow further than what is being shown in the diagram on page 1. If TL wanted to make more money they should think about this. I don't great all items because I am stingy with my spaces. I would love to go crazy with the moats but alas limited spaces save me money
