Ehhrrr who am I kidding... Let's see how (bad) my luck will be on this one. :(

I'm not overstressing myself on this one and shall try to "cleverly" alternate straight water-earth attempts (most likely to give me 5 hour fails) with 4-element attempts at a Unicorn or other good stuff, and maybe also an attempt at a Golden Retriever here and there. The rationale: when properly selected, the alternate breeding attempts are bound to give very long fails. That then will result in big gaps between hatching a 5-hour Rainguin and "something else". That slack time is then intended to be filled by hatching off the animals I've left in storage. Even then I'm bound to need a few gems here and there as several of those left in storage have hatching times of 18 hours and 19 hours.

I'll log my entire results down below, including the "alternates" ("E-W" = "Earth-Water", "Alt." = "Alternate"):

E-W 1) Frostfang (15) - Rock Rhino (15): 5 hrs... -> Rainguin
Alt. 1) 4-element attempt: Hydro Yak (11) - Bansheep (10): 10 hrs -> Planther: [Rainguin hatching was sped, slack time used for hatching Strawbeary]
E-W 2) Glacial Griffin (7) - Rainguin (11): 11 hrs... -> Glacial Griffin
E-W 3) Glacial Griffin (7) - Iciclaw (5): 5 hrs... -> Rainguin
Alt. 2) 4-element attempt: Iciclaw (5) - Twilight Troll (11): 9 hrs -> Racmoon.
Alt. 3) attempt at Golden Retriever: Gold Lion (9) - Terrorier (10): 9 hrs -> Firefox.
--- As the three limited time super rares have been made available through breeding, my priorities have shifted towards those first ---
Alt. 4) dark-fire attempt at Nightmare: Ember Bear (15) - Firefox (15): 9 hrs -> Firefox.
Alt. 5) dark-fire attempt at Nightmare: Skyger (15) - Pyro Pony (15): 14 hrs -> Hot Dog! (New animal! Good result!)

I'll try for it. The only Water/Earth animal I have is Rainguin, so if I'm not able to get it, I'd be happy to get one of the others (Iciclaw, Rockodile, Glacial Griffin).

Yeah, you are so right, ogreve, after the Musical Trio and Sapybara ended on Friday and the Ice Cream Social Event just ended today, more breeding pain and it will be raining Rainguins from now on until it expires!

I'll try for it. The only Water/Earth animal I have is Rainguin.

Been there, done that.... Be prepared: there's pleeeenty more where those came from ;) ;) ;)

Grrr, *again* water-earth... just like fire-earth this is a combination I do NOT like anymore... :(
I'd rather have seen something like nature-dark or nature-electric or even nature-water being limited as there are plenty of fails I still need from those combos...

BUT: I do hope you'll get all of the animals you still need! Good luck!

As for me, I shall see to it that I "convert this disadvantage into an advantage" by interchangeably breeding earth-water and alternating it with 4-element breeds (or attempts at a treasure animal) with LONG fails, such that the slack time between hatching a Rainguin (of which I *know* many will come as I somehow almost never seem to be able to breed something on the first few tries) and something with a long breeding time can be used to work away the backlog of animals I have in storage. :P

There! I just found a positive twist to this new ominous limited breeding onslaught....:P

I was super surprised when I checked the forum and saw that the Dripmunk egg is the same one in my nest! I wasn't sure what it was at first, but I'm glad I actually finished one of these limited time quests.

Thanks for this info! I got a Dripmunk with this combo too! Epic Iciclaw x epic Glacial Griffin! I had a few fails beforehand... I think I got about 3-5 Rainguins before I got the 'munk. I tried a couple different combos too, not just Icy & Griff. This is the first new creature in ages that I've been remotely interested in, so it's fun to get him. Now on to my precious Nightmare... come to my forest!

I got every Water/Earth animal but the Dripmunk since I started trying for it. Unfortunately, I already had them all. 3 Rainguins, 1 Rockadile, 1 Iciclaw and 1 Glacial Griffin. Decided to add a Electric to the mix in hopes of getting a Confetti Yeti that I never bred before. First try didn't work out too good, an 18 hour timer should be a Thunder Mammoth. Not sure I am going to try that again. At least with 5 hour fails, I get a few tries per day.

If you really want the Dripmunk it is probably best to stick to the simple water/earth combo so that fail times do not get too long. With multiple tries per day, that 12hr count is bound to show up, just like it did for me minutes ago :)
Now I can concentrate on fire/dark...

Whoo-hoo! Just got it!!! It feels like a long time since I got anything I was trying for. Started when Dripmunk was first released, bred everything else (except the crystal hybrids unfortunately) and finally got it with cold turkey and the Crystal horse one. Totally blanking on its name. If it has what looks like concentric rings from a drop of water landing in a puddle, yes that's the egg. I just got one, too. Funny that I can manage one that supposed to be not breedable, but can't manage the one I need for the goal (Ottocrat).

Yeah it was it .. its funny how that works right, i still have yet to breed these ones from this event.

I think I got a Dripmunk while trying for the Majestag. 12 hours, egg looks like water ripples on it. I'm pretty happy with this fail because the Dripmunk is adorable!

I didn't particularly want a Dripmunk, but of course I want *all* the animals, so I was glad to get one. But now I'm getting a second. Since it isn't a permanent animal, I will keep both, but I don't have habitat space, so he might have to sit and clog up one of my nests for a while. Oh well.

Well, with the lack of luck I'm getting with the Majestag and a couple tries of the Dusk Ox, I may try this one tomorrow as I have to wait for the current breeding of the Bearon and Ottocrat to finish.
