Iv started playing again, so hope i can celebrate today with some great items old or new! But like stevenkevin said last week, if they insist on bringing back old stuff then why not really old. Like from the beginning rather than stuff we was offered afew months ago? If nothing appealing today, will grab some of those bikes from afew weeks back instead, had a proper look at them and they so cute! Me and my friend was talking about a bike EXACTLY like the blush 1 the week before it came out! Was funny!!
Hope its not a box, iv still got many things im trying to get or get duplicates from others! Cant handle another yet!

I haven't went into my shop in about 2 weeks. I'll collect my tips and order some clothes later when the update comes out. I can't imagine why we won't have one. Not a holiday. But I don't care anymore. I also think that it's lazy and irresponsible not wanting to make any money business acumen, for them to rerelease items from last year. So many things in their own personal computer storage that they can release.

Items that go with bright colors, water and green for outdoors and summer fun. But nooooo they give us orange foolishness. I don't even care which neighbors delete me. I need to be entertained above simply ordering clothes to save gems. Even then, I haven't been worried about the missing gems I hadn't made.

i feel rather confident, after all last week's update was pretty interesting (well i like orange lol), except - yes aishaibrahims!! - the too recent LTOs brought back lol

I don't know why we wouldn't have an update today. Granted, it does seem as if the Storm8 designers have been on strike the past few weeks. I'm getting tired of the recycled displays that most of us already have. Granted we did get a couple new displays last week, but they look as if they let their summer interns design them. I have no use for such poorly designed displays in my shop. And like a few others said, if they're going to recycle displays, why not bring back some really old ones. Most of the people who have them have already quit playing anyway. Something new for summer or 4th of July would be wonderful, but I'm not holding my breath.

Surprise, surprise! A display I didn't have! And it's related to the 4th of July! Haven't seen catalog yet though, but still pleasantly surprised!

I figured we would get that old 4th display. I liked it then but didn't have gems before. But will probably pass on it now. I can't see the other one for sale. Since there is no timer I won't worry about getting it. But will instead keep building on my 40 gems for November.

I dont celebrate either but im definitely getting some of this stuff! So happy they chose to bring back this display rather than last years or some other 1. Really like it, and missed out on that goal. Love the wallpaper and the outfit tho simple is so cute. And hooray for a full update!!

I'm not sure what you mean by it disrespecting our flag. Patriotic clothing isn't meant to be insulting, just a way for people to celebrate their country. I thought it was better than last years outfit. Overall a decent update. It's nice to finally see new counters, wallpaper, and floor tiles. I'd love to see an ocean themed next week.

Ok, now I understand why you think it's offensive, and I applaud your patriotism. Personally sometimes I find the stars and ******s on clothing to be kinda tacky, so I do agree that a sundress with accessories would have been cuter. That 15 hr outfit was from last year. Wow, I did not know that. I also don't think the examples of stars and ******s clothing are particularly tasteful, but I see them as using patterns inspired by the flag design, not as actually using the flag itself. It's not like the designers take American flags and cut them up for fabric :D

As for the update, the only item I like is the LTO display. I also missed the original goal. I'm thinking of starting a new small boutique with 60s America theme and this might go well with the items I've collected so far.

I really like this update, it's cute and fun and celebrates a colorful holiday. That said, *sigh* it's depressing how people always have to be offended by something. Conservatives are offended because using stars and ******s on clothing 'disrespects the flag.' Progressives are offended since they apparently view patriotic clothing as 'right wing' (I remember someone saying last year that the 4th of July update belonged on April Fool's Day). And international players are offended since it's American and doesn't include other countries. If an update is about any other country's holiday, people would be praising it for celebrating diversity and so on. But we have one update based on a holiday in the country this game was created in, and so many have to get offended for whatever reason. What the heck, I'll join the crowd -- I'm offended that people are so offended. It's a GAME, people.

Also, one thing about this holiday... It is a major holiday in the USA. Often times, people who work get two days off from work. It's a big BBQ day as well as a family fellowship day. It's almost we big as Christmas. I'm riding in the car and we just passed Sam's. A guy rolled by with a basket full of BBQ items. This is a big holiday. Storm 8 had to honor it.

I like the decor and the time length for the catalog. I just wish the clothes in the catalog were different. A casual top and skirt combo with touches of red, white, and blue would've been nice, and an accessory item could've been a little American flag or a sparkler. A cute swimsuit like the one below would've also been good since some are eager for summer items.

Every year for 4th of July we get itty bitty little shorts, 3rd year in a row, just from the ones I remember. What about a cute little dress? a white dress with a blue jean jacket and maybe a flag-colored sort of necklace and red, white & blue ******d wedge flip-flops? That's just what I thought of from the top of my head right now, but the point is, they could do better with patriotic outfits.

I am happy however to see older LTO being brought back, this time I decided to buy it, also bought the new counters, wallpaper and floor tiles. I like how the tiles are neutral enough to be used as snow tiles for winter too.

A jean jacket would be awesome! You can literally create anything with it. As long as they allow us to put it over the other tops. Then that would get boring real quick. Wear it with something dressy or match it with all the types of jeans we already have. We get so many dull types of clothes. Why they never thought of this is beyond me.

Along with a high ballerina type bun hairstyle. And more eye shadows.
