Tips/tools for breaking rainbow blocks? (Gummy King level 43)

Like the poster below, I'm stuck on level 43 and have a few questions ....

1- What are the best tools for breaking locked rainbow blocks?

2- I know I need to stun the Gummy King by making bigger matches. Other than purchasing the "stun gummy king" tool, are there any other tools or tips? (ex. Is it better to start clearing the top of the screen? Or the bottom?)

3- Is there a sticky with a detailed description of each tool? I don't really understand the brief in-game descriptions. (ex. The wand says it removes blockages (?), but it didn't work on the rainbow block).

Wow ... I returned to the game after posting and completed level 43 on my first attempt of the day! I concentrated on making any large matches (not necessarily near the blocks) and somehow I lucked out.

And I REALLY lucked out on level 52. I was out of moves and the Gummy King looked healthy. Figured that was it but he was ****ed off when the game started to tally my screen.
