Is tipping limited?

I notice that some people can get 3 tips and some can get 6 and some can't get anymore. Is there a limit on how many tips you can get? What is it based on? How about how many you can give? TIA

Regular player: you can give maximum 3 tips
Neighbor: give max 6 tips

The ony reason why you can't tip someone at all is because you've alread tipped within that day.

also, if there aren't enough tables to leave your tips on, you wil not be able to tip max. If you come back later that day and more tables have been cleared, you will see the number of tips remaining you can give to that player. So, sometimes, the number will be something other than 3 or 6, but 3 or 6 is the daily max.
