Help! Unable to place Balloon Lanterns

I am trying to finish To the Sky and I cannot place my Balloon Lanterns... The screen becomes frozen with my Bakery no longer visible. I have tried numerous times and restarted my game to no avail. Any idea how I fix this? I cannot move on to next goal without the Balloon Lanterns.

Sorry to hear that! Are there any applications running in the background? If there are, could you removing them? After that, please force close your game and try placing the Balloon Lanterns again. I am also having the same problem.
I have tried shutting down everything, and restarting and even tried
removing some of the counters that have nothing on them to free up more room in
case that would somehow fix something.

The balloon lanterns are wall items but sounds like you're trying to place them on the floor.

Yes, that was the problem.
I thought it was a floor decoration.
