Information on the Bakery
***This is a resource building, NOT a crafting building!***

It is a permanent addition to the game!
Available at Level 22.


1. Size: 2x2 limit 1
2. Cost: 200 gems
3. Comes fully built
4. Collection time: 24 hours
5. Known Drops: 2 drops of either: Silver platter, Ivy's hot sauce, Skunkupies, Super yummy pies, Syrup, Bread, Orange cobbler, Flour
(This information has been transferred into the Building Guide and the Inventory Guide against all known drops)


Associated Goals:
1. If you choose to purchase Ivy's Bakery for 200 gems, you will receive 10 gems back (limited timed offer).
2. If you choose to do the additional timed goal called The Infamy of Skunkupies, you will receive 15 gems back (limited timed offer).
Note: you can only do this trade once.
Royal Exchange - Send Belladonna 6 Skunkupies. 6 hours


Where else can I get Skunkupies?
1. Royal Exchange - Trade with Belladonna (15 living wood, 30 mushroom, 15 rat tails) 5 hours.
2. Royal Exchange - Send Belladonna Plants (10 glimmer trap, 6 glimmer pitcher, 1 rafflesia) 5 hours.
3. Ivy's Hut - collect every 12 hours
4. Ivy's Bakery - collect every 24 hours

The requirements of Skunku-Pie in the Royal Exchange has been changed from 15 to 6. Hope this helps!

New building for 200 gems, limited rebate of 10 gems for buying it. There is also an independent goal for 20 gems for trading 6 skunkupies at the exchange.

24 hour cool down takes 48 gems to speed up. You can only have one per account. Can drop any two of the following:
Silver platter
Ivy's hot sauce
Skunkupies
Super yummy pies*
Syrup
Bread
Orange cobbler
Flour
Sugar
Apple pie

The Royal Exchange trade will also reward you with 15 gems when you do it in addition to the goal. YOU CAN ONLY DO THE TRADE ONCE. After the first time it disappears.

*Super yummy pies were an item from the Quest for the Trove quest arc to get a free Glimmerdust Trove.

I agree with the "gem stealing ways" position. I will not buy gems when it's so easy to have them "stolen."

I have been trying to get to 200 gems so I could buy a Wizard School since I first found out about it. Have never gotten past about 120 or so without accidentally spending some.

This is not a crafting building like the other kitchens. The first post lists the things that it can drop. Only drops once every 24 hours (unless you pay gems to speed it up). The description says it has a high probability of dropping skunkupies but I wouldn't count on getting one every time.

Well I've taken the leap and only after realised 20 gems need 15 skunkupies so by my calculations I need to do 11 trades. That gives me 10 hours to spare. Which means I'll be putting my alarm on for some ungodly wake up calls!

The trade itself also drops gems, at least five judging from the graphic. If that trade sticks around I will buy the building on this account because it will eventually pay for itself, otherwise I am on the fence.

So out of 7 collections you only got 2 skunkupies? I wouldn't call that a very high chance of pies. Although better than any other method

I really am almost done with this game:

First the Wallycorns that were taken from us.
Then the screwup with the unlimited time to make a second horse that turned out to be a 7-day quest, making it impossible to finish the questline in time.
Now the Vineyard quest-line wich are impossible to finish if you andvance too soon, even if you play 24/7.
Now the kitchen that isn't a kitchen, but another gem-consuming nothing...

It is certainly not required in order to advance in the game.

I really am almost done with this game:

First the Wallycorns that were taken from us.
Then the screwup with the unlimited time to make a second horse that turned out to be a 7-day quest, making it impossible to finish the questline in time.
Now the Vineyard quest-line which are impossible to finish if you advance too soon, even if you play 24/7.
Now the kitchen that isn't a kitchen, but another gem-consuming nothing...

THEN it wants MORE Gems in order to use it now! AND THEN IT MAY NOT EVEN DROP A SKUNK-U-PIE!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD! I am SO MAD!! I have played a long time and should be WAAAYYYY ABOVE Level 50 IF they would add levels and have been expanded fully before and after the last expansions and am maxed in almost everything all the time and now THIS!!!?????

I keep asking myself WHY do I keep playing??? PLUS, NOW Sabrina's House has stopped dropping Jewels, Crops are barely giving any extra energy back, and usually do not drop grapes, Mister Piggle whatever used to drop useful things and now mostly drops bacon and truffles (BIG DEAL) All my royal pigs do that!!! The "special" dragons from one of the events USED to occasionally drop energy or gems but lately nothing but dragon scales which I have been maxed on for the last year and a half!!! I am maxed on the 1 potion that calls for the scales and nothing uses that potion OR the scales! I never collect from my regular dragons because they only gave scales and I have a bunch of baby dragons I have not even bothered growing up because (why should I)? Same problem with the Manticores!!

I am sooo angry! I could have used those gems speeding up my Level 8 Baron's Mom's place but NO they are gone now and not even a Sale to buy more (foolishly).

no it comes activated.. the goal is to get the Gem Reward.. so if you finish it.. consider it a 20 Gem discount.. they are not really tied together other then the drops might help you finish the trade faster and get the 20 gems

Hear, hear! I knew there was something off when I read the back and it talked about "high chance for drops." Still, now I'm wondering if it might be worth it if they're going to start calling for skunkupies more often. Eventually, even with a 50% drop rate, you'd fill up on pies. I've been playing for more than three years and I only had 5 in inventory which got used on that Boarina nonsense. Then I got one yesterday.

Even if you get Ivys SSS&RRMart (slogan: Pies R Us) there's no way to complete the exchange trade to get the 20 gems in time. Who dreamt up this baloney?

The dialogue and the naming of it as a BAKERY leads one to believe that it's a crafting building where we can COOK skunkupies. That's not something anyone created in their minds.

Bought mine while I was mislead to believe I could COOK the darn skunkupies as well!
But the building is pretty, I love it, alas again NOT ANIMATED :(

It should be goal reward 20 gems plus 15 gems from the skunku-pie trade, 35gems altogether. Did TL reduce the gem reward for the trade after dropping trade requirement from 15 to 6?! Have you finished the goal?

TeamLava does these quests (the two released today) to reward people who buy an item when it first comes out, sort of like an incentive to buy it at a discounted rate. These quests, and the building, are NOT required in order to move forward with the storyline.

Thank you sooo much Kimberly0822. I am 65 yrs old and live on Soc. Sec. and nothing else and these games brought me through a couple of really rough lonely years, so I guess I am just disappointed that the game seems to have changed so much since I started playing. I had never played any type of video game before this one. I guess we really are never too old to learn~!

I did purchase Ivy's Bakery because I had gems saved , and we receive more gems upon finishing the Vineyard to level 10. It's worth it to me because there is a daily drop of 2 items (skunk-pies high probability) from it. I've been playing awhile so I do adventures to collect gems.

I bought it, because I want the things it drops. My kitchens can be doing other things because of getting stuff from this bakery. Players had been asking for something to drop the skunkupies more regularly,and also asking for something to drop the orange pies, so TL listened. I wish the trade would have stayed after the first time, but I'm still very happy with my purchase. I see it as an interesting version of the harvest pergola, which I wish I had two of.

If you buy Ivy's Bakery, the skunkupie is a drop from the building. The Bakery is a Resource Building, not a crafting building. You can collect from it once a day.

When you get 6 pies (it's a timed goal and OPTIONAL TO PURCHASE the building) you can then do the trade in the exchange for gems. If you don't want the building, let the goal expire.

Ivy's Bakery (2x2) limit 1 cost 200 gems. Comes fully built.
Collection time: 24 hours
Drops: 2 drops of either: Silver platter, Ivy's hot sauce, Skunkupies, Super yummy pies, Syrup, Bread, Orange cobbler, Flour

Skunku-Pie

As far as I know, Super yummy pies have no use except Quest for the Trove -- and you can only do this quest once. Does the fact that Bakery drops them mean they will have some new use? If not, it is a totally worthless drop.

I bought it without paying attention, I didn't realize it cost gems and not coins. A bit bummed, I too thought we would be able to bake. Heaven forbid we get a confirmation pop up before spending gems. Lesson learned!

Lets say I buy the "FAKE" bakery and from now and forever every 24hrs it drops stuff... My question is:

Will it keep dropping those skunkupies and will the trade for gems in exchange for skunkupies be in the Royal exchange permanently?

If it is then, in the long run I can at least recover my gems... But if it's not, I don't see the purpose since I am level 50+++++ (287,846XP), so I have nothing else to do but stack up on items. I have plenty of all the items it drops... But if it leaves me a change at gems by trading the pies over time... then maybe it's worth the investment.

Luckily I have 8 pies in my inventory; but indeed, when I saw the bakery wasn't a bakery (of course after I bought it) and knowing it drops only once a day, and pie is one of many things, I decided to keep my 8 pies: to me it's not worth trading them for 20 gems... I rather hold on to the pies for future quests...

I dont think that this building and its drops will ever fit into a story line. Since its optional and it cost gems, if they used the drops for part of the story line people would complain that they cant do the quest because they cant afford the building etc...I also thought it was a crafting building and would NOT have purchased it knowing that you only get random drops. There are more than enough buildings that drop useless items already. I want my 190 gems back!

After reading all the comments I've taken the plunge & placed Ivy's kitchen, started the trade so will get 45gems back making a total expenditure of 155gems. Better having something useful rather than waste them in the dreaded gem trap

I don't think it actually requires one, I remember seeing this addressed in the event thread. I'll go back and check the first post.

Difficult choice! Some people believe with the release of the bakery that the skunkupies and super yummy pies will become more prominent in the game but there's no guarantee of that. The fortune tellers tent has some real (pardon the pun) gems in it. For those that haven't finished sister, sister.. It provides a way to have unlimited glimmer shards and fragments from one fortune and later unlimited superglue from another fortune. These do take a fairly long time to get to, though.

Funny how we get the chance to trade s-pies for gems soon after we get to trade s-pies for a deco with no purpose.

I would have rather done the trade in the RE than have ugly boarina. I know it was my own descision to acquire the useless boar, it's just the timing that strikes me.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why all the complaints about the bakery costing 200 gems?? (actually only 155 gems if you complete the quest line I think) What does everyone do with all the gems they get while playing the game?
1. Adventures give me gems almost every day
2. I do the fruit trade a few times a week for a gem each trade
3. My purple cow gives me a gem once in awhile
4. Mr Pigglesworth gives me gems every once in awhile
5. My dragons give me gems every so often
6. I've gotten hundreds of gems for simply downloading the other storm8 games when it asks me to.
7. Golden trade gives 5 gems each time, however I don't do this one very often, since I'm a gold hoarder.

I think the real question people need to ask themselves is "How am I spending the free gems I get?" If you are wasting them by speeding things up or buying decorations that have no real value to the game, then it's your own fault you can't afford the 200 gem price tag.
I'm always hoarding gems because I know that these types of things come up every 6 months or so. (fortune tellers tent, additional bakery, living wood tree, little skunkupine house, etc, etc)
I'm sure there will be another item like this that becomes available around Thanksgiving/Christmas again this year, so it's time to start hoarding again so I can afford that item!!

I am aggravated. Last two times I collected from Ivys hut.....no skunk :mad:pies. Doing the grades at the royal exchange....no skunk pies. Highly disappointed TL :mad:

I feel your pain... 3 Ivy's hut visit and 2 belladona trade and NOTHING!!!! It's not like I can keep trading with EL CHEAPO belladona since I am running out of rat tails.

I did exactly the same thing - bought the bakery and was sure it said 200 coins and then this morning wondered where my 200 gems had gone as I wouldn't have bought straight off for 200 gems and yes it has changed from
15 pies to 6 so does make you wonder if it did say coins! Wish I had taken a pic now!

My first drop was a skunkupie and a hot sauce. I now have 6 skunkupies so can do the trade, but will probably hold off a few days to perhaps get one or two extra in my inventory.

My first drop was a skunkupie and sugar. That only brings me to 2 pies but maybe if I'm really, really, REALLY lucky (lol) I'll get enough to do the trade in 6 days... probably not though. Not a huge deal in the big scheme of things I suppose.

My first drop was flour and sugar :/ i have no pies and ive tried trades and i hit ivy's hut every chance i get. How could we possibly do this in 7 days?? 200 gems for flour and sugar?? Im confused

I logged on as soon as the update was live and Ivy's Bakery was always 200 gems in my queendom, not 200 coins. First drop was one Skunku-pie and one syrup.

THANK YOU, my thoughts exactly! I've gotten hundreds of gems in the same ways you mentioned, and it's
not like completing these goals is absolutely necessary to continue with the storyline. For those that do buy the bakery, they get a small rebate instead of paying full price in the future. I only use my gems to buy buildings and never to speed up anything, so I have many to spare. It's a cute little building that is relatively cheap compared to others (winter bakery) that drops things that may or may not be useful in the future. I'm gonna go for it!

Has anyone purchased the bakery yet? Can anything else be made using ivy's bakery besides skunkiepies? What resources does it take to make the pies? Sorry I'm full of questions but for 200 gems, I don't want to waste them for nothing.

You actually need 15 skunkupies to trade at the exchange :( A few have dropped for me recently, but I doubt I'll have enough in a week to do it.

just wondering... both of you have never fell in a gem-trap ?
my game has the nice habit to 'move' by itself while tapping for collecting and that resulted too many times in unwanted gem-loss... i learned from it, tap once, wait, tap once, wait, etc.... takes more time, but saved precious gems 😜
