This dragon along with the other gold dragons should be rare along side diamond dragons and should be breedable , right now a gold dragon in market is about 2000 gold , idk the gold rate at epic but let's just say it's 4-5 a day.

At that rate your looking at about 400-500 days to make your money back , which is not a good $50 investment in my eyes , if these were released as a breedable dragon and let's say on average a person had 2( only applying to people who don't buy gold), then they would have 8-10 gold a day which is fair.

Since there's no way to currently " earn gold daily" I think this would be a great way to encourage the players to want to play more and more every day , just my thoughts :)

Gold dragons give 5 gold every day at level 10, so, I bought them for my collection and profit.

I have 4 Gold dragons and everyday I collect 20 gold.

I have all the treasure dragons too. Last Christmas I spent $99 on gold to get them (a Christmas present to myself). So I collect 40 gold per day from the Dragons alone. I don't regret my investment at all.

I say to each his own as to whether it's worth it or not :D

Both, because I only buy them when they're on sale, which varies from 600 to 800 gold, and if you were playing when Glided dragon was first released, you'll know that it was released at 200 gold:cool:

If you have 4 gold habitats but only 7 gold dragons, you can buy this one, each gold habitat holds 2 gold dragons, but if you have 8 gold dragons and 4 habitats, it was like I said above, TL needs to allows 5 instead of 4 gold habitats per island

I never use my credit card for any app purchases. I get itunes cards. Not sure how it's in your country, but here in Australia there is always a shop who has them on sale. I get them around 20% to 30% cheaper, if I'm lucky even more.

A $20 iTunes card cost me normally $15. Then I wait until gold is on sale too. :)

I'd say do it if you only have only one. The game becomes so much more enjoyable when gold is aplenty. Unfortunately these days it is designed for play with gold. I have all of them (8?) and it just makes the game so much more fun now that gold isn't an issue any more. I can skip through those tough decisions and usually have enough gold saved up to get these new gold giving dragons for free, $$$! One or two gold dragons would be convenient, but the more you have the easier it is to get more! I make sure to never go below 600 gold (just in case a new gold dragon is released), which in truth is getting even less likely now as I have thousands saved.

Well, I probably shouldn't be saying this out loud... but they don't necessarily have to... If they kept the treasure terrace limit, they would be able to keep releasing new gold dragons, without further reducing the need for their long time players to actually buy gold. You can get more gold dragons if you store\stable your existing ones (where I presume they won't be generating gold). I'm sure the more avid collectors & album completionists would be upset and cry foul though.

I have all 8 (now 9) at Epic and I'm not a speed breeder but for normal play this is more than enough reliable gold income to skips those tough spots and still be able to stockpile a bit. I've even started to not care about the daily gold giving since the return on investment has become so low relative to the gold dragons.

Maybe the graphics for it hadn't loaded yet, might have to restart the game or some other thing. The same sometimes happens with eggs

I don't think restarting will help. This issue occurs when you preform an action that would normally pull the graphics from the remote server but that request is not processed due to network issues. You would need to somehow resend the graphics request and I am pretty sure you can only do that by recreating the original action. This is true of inventory items, but maybe restarting the game will pull gameboard piece graphics from the server. I have never tested. :3

I closed out again, reloaded. Got the spell book out of storage. Had to wait a it before hitting green check mark, until the book appeared. Then it was ok. Of note is, that the green Suarez (which appears when placing an item) was missing the left upper corner. Hm. But it is all good, got the book. Thanks for replying zyfazix and kittensabc.

Basically it's everything that you spend gold on without the intention of doing so when there's no confirmation for it, usually larger amounts. The gold trap I hear most complaints about is the food menu opening after tapping too close to it and spending 250, 500 or 1000 gold for food you don't want/need

Thank you, Zyfazix. Now I understand. It's happened to me, also. The worst one for me was buying the Gingerbread Dragon when all I wanted was to know how much it cost. I clicked, and there went over 1000 gold and I had a dragon egg I hadn't planned to get.

I don't even have to tap near it. It just randomly opens 2 to 3 times a day. I will be sitting there about to click on a farm and the time between I press on the farm the food menu comes up and I have bought food for gold. So lame TL.

I just caved and bought this one. It was too pretty to resist. It's my third gold dragon. I've got the other two in their own habitats and with space being what it is, I'm wondering if it's worth giving this one it's own as well or putting it in with one of the others? I would think that would actually limit my daily gold intake since the habitat only holds 5.

Thoughts?

Edit: WTH? I bought this, it was on the nest. Game reset and gave me my gold back and now the dragon is the usual 1600 price. Grr!

Saghaven: to avoid those kind of glitches, I always go to the social tab and let the list load all my neighbours after finishing something important (after each arena-round, after buying a dragons, after starting a crafting, and before I close the game).

You could try to mail support, they van be very helpfull.

I have 4 golddragons, in 4 habitats. So I don't need to collect at specific times, I log in multiple times a dat, and when there's a collect icon above the habitat, I collect (usually) 2 gold. When you have 2 dragons in 1 habitat, the gold will multiply faster, and you will be forced to collect multiple times a day in order not to loose gold.

Anaboe: I normally do that as well (I actually go to my Arctic Island) but before I did I was came to ask the question about the habitat. Guess I can't hesitate at all with these things. LOL! At least it didn't keep the gold and take the dragon back as well.

I do log in several times a day but I figure just having them in their own habitats would yield me more gold than having them together. Eh, moot point now. LOL

Yup my rose gold is L9 and brings home 4 a day ..... Good enough for now :)
