Valentine Restaurant Tasks - what for?

I happily went through all the tasks for valentine's day (even giving up some gems rather than purchasing the marble column and some other stuff that I didn't really want in my restaurant). I thought that if I completed all the tasks then something special would happen... but nothing happened.

I spent coins buying more stuff that I already had in storage, baked like mad and all I got were a few more coins (not even enough to match what I bought) and some experience points.

what's the point?

I was wondering that too. Did Team Lava develop those tasks because they thought it would make the game more interesting? I know I won't be doing them, especially if it costs gems and there is no reward for completing them. Too bad they didn't put that effort into new decor and food to buy with coins.

I like the tasks, but did not know there was no end "payoff" or something good. I didn't know if they finish at some point, but my tasks have vanished. Anyone have this happen? Any ideas??? Thanks
