Looks like the update is out and we have a new battleground for an animal called Charger.

I haven't detected anything else new.

Looks like Charger is an Electric/Water hybrid. 20 hour incubation time and 22 hour Evolution time.

NOTE: The level of opponents may be different between players.

Regarding the Lucky Rabbit round. Towards the end of chipping away at the rabbit I tried my Toy Poodle level 15. I got neutral, neutral, critical using the Christmas attack. This wasn't quite enough to finish off the rabbit so I tried it again and got neutral, neutral, critical. I know this is not enough to draw any conclusions but it is worth watching as nothing seems to be strong against Lucky.

For those who might have trouble with lvl 65 (Obsidian Cyclops), finally I bet it with Shamrock! I tried it at least 30 times with several different opponents, mainly with water. (unfortunately I don't have a Toucan, what some of you suggested)

If you mean your critical hit, because you didn't score any strong attacks using water, it could've been simply because of your luck. If/when other people report strong attacks on Matripony with the water element, then we've found a weakness. Criticals don't really mean much. I am not going as fast as everyone else on here but thought I would add battleground level 15 against Harpy I won with Zappra level using electric ...first hit critical .. Next two hits normal .. And I won finally !

I can't believe I am on Level 65 already despite being in the hospital until yesterday afternoon.

Not only did my surgery go well but I am really enjoying having the Battleground open again. It took a while to get back in the swing of things but I would rather battle 80 animals at my liesure in the Battleground than to be rushed against time in the Arena, even for the short ones. This couldn't have come at a better time for me when I would have had difficulty fighting against both the Matripony and the clock. There is not the pressure I put on myself to win every battle because I can return in a short time and have two more chances. I also enjoy getting to watch animals we rarely fight in the Arena because there are some awesome battle moves exhibited that I might have seen only once before, if that. I am even enjoying the Boss battles.

Yay for an open Battleground! Hope we get another sooner rather than later :D

Is it just me? The 2nd boss, Lucky Rabbit, is really huge. All my critters look so small. It's a rabbit! What's going on with the size? I haven't beaten him yet - I feel like I'm fighting against Rabbitzilla. He leaps and I want to duck myself ;) Two more attacks and he'll be gone, but darn, he's downright creepy.

I'm taking my time through the battlegrounds. I just won level 15 against Hamrock with Lightning Leopard, one neutral, one critical electric hit. Pyro Pony was all neutral hits. I was trying my one element animals to see if any particular one had better luck than another. I don't think that my findings were all that definitive though...

My Lucky Rabbit wins every time against Matripony. The second or third hit is always critical! I haven't tried this with any of the other 'lucky' animals, but the rabbit seems to do the job. Good luck everyone! :)

On the level under the main starting level there is an animal to unlock, that is the Treent. Costs 10M$ and 16 Runes to expand there, I'm at 6.6M$ right now :D

I tried the Lemurcury against the Matripony and the Cosmic element was Neutral, then I received a CH when using the Earth Element. In fact the Cosmic Element was Neutral to every combination in the Charger Battleground except Earth and any combination that contained Earth. Cosmic is Weak to Earth.

I agree with you and can confirm that Cosmic is weak to earth, though I have been getting some very strange CH when I knew I shouldn't :s, and that confusing me lol.
I've been using my Caturn midway (Rnd 46) through battling in the Charge Battlegrounds and not getting any message (is this a neutral hit???) except for CH. Against the Matripony I decided to swap the Caturn for the Plutopus as its has the water element. I really didnt think I'd get anywhere but was pleasantly surprised to take it down in one hit. Like I said I'd like to try it out a few times before confirming it. If anyone thats got a Plutopus and is yet to battle theMatripony maybe they would like to test it out.

Yes, no message is Neutral. I was testing out as much as I could during the Charger Battleground. Unfortunately, I would win many times when I was trying to lose to gather more information. It is kind of of strange to hope for a loss.

In the main tournament for the Craguar I tried to use my highest 'spring' at one stage, but for the life of me I couldn't find the tulip tapir to battle with! Not well, so that probably explains it. So when that was finished I decided to try again on whatever was coming up next in the battlegrounds, as it is not timed I figured it wouldn't really matter. So found the tapir, & guess what it's opponent was? The Matripony. 1st & 2nd neutral, 3rd critical. Must have been a fluke.

Using my new Ultra Rare Swan Prince (Dark fire) Lvl 9 I am getting strong hits every time against the level 40 Treent using dark.
Also getting strong and critical with Level 15 Aurora Pegasus (dark nature) using dark.

It looks like Im a bit behind so I dont know if this helps or not, but I just defeated lvl 15 - Hamrock with my lvl 15 Koala Cadabra. My results with lightening were strong attack, critical hit, strong attack.
