This tournament sets a new record with not just 5 ultra-rares, but also 2 Special no-weakness animals, one of them level 20 (Treent, round 29). The Treent of Life was originally weak to water. But, like the Matripony, TL made it so THEIR animal has no weaknesses even though OUR versions of the same exact animal still have those weaknesses. In other words, they *****.

29Special No-Weakness Treent of Life (living wood)No confirmation yet, but as of the last tournament, this is the second animal they have made it so that THEIR animal has ZERO weaknesses now while ours retain the weakness they had originally. Basically, they totally *****. Avoid dark and gem as those are weak but other than that, just cross your fingers you can get past this in less than a dozen tries. Probably best to avoid elements weak to living wood: shamrock, gem, dark. -

Element strengths graphic as of the beginning of the tournament. Note that the last couple tournaments they have be*** making some of THEIR animals no longer have ANY weakness to ours. This is the case with Matripony (Valentine element) and Treent of Life (living wood element). THEIR Matripony and Treent have NO weaknesses. OURS retain the weaknesses they had from the start. In essence, they *****. And change the rules whenever they feel like it with no notice.

I don't expect to win this tournament. It used to be that there was a good bit of wiggle room to not play hourly every day and still be able to complete the tournament early, but that's gone now. Now, even if you play every single available hour aside from sleep, you're still quite likely to be unable to complete the tournament without gems. And I don't know that I have it in me to care enough to play even most of the time now. I certainly don't have it in me to play every single hour and then STILL have to spend gems to win. What a shame that TL chose to completely ruin tournaments the way they did.

ETA: Oh and I just looked at the animal. Wow. It's been a little while since we've seen such a BLATANT AND OBVIOUS clone as this, but this one is just about as bad as the Lunar Rampage. It looks just like a Hydro Yak with purple instead of blue. Well, good. Now I really don't care that they've made it so I can't win this cheap clone without gems.

This was the best I've done in a long time. Hope they keep making them winnable.

I have noticed lately that the earlier battles seem more difficult to win, especially since there is such an apparent strength difference between the very early animals and the ones we pit against them.

It seems that some become discouraged early, and drop out before they start. I have found it easier to stomach if I don't look at relative strengths. I look at the elements, and what is strong to what, not that my Level 15 loses to a Level 2. I seem to struggle less if I ignore the level of my opponent. That is just my take on it and I quit questioning long ago why the early, low level animals ever win because they do.

Once I get past them I am usually good until I hit the Ultra Rares unless there is a Matripony which is anyone's guess what will take them down.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for my surgery. I will be fine and have looked forward to this for some time as it will relieve pain and is the beginning of a reconstruction which will enrich my quality of life. For Matripony: Try whatever you think is lucky. If you get a "strong" hit (not critical - but "strong"), please post that and we will update to include that. But as of the last few tournaments, TL decided to make THEIR Matripony (not ours - only theirs) weak to NOTHING.

My first try was Plutopus (level 9) on the theory that it is a new element and unknown. Failed with all neutral hits using the planet attack.

My second try was Harpy (level 10) on the theory that the Luck element is luckier as may have been shown in previous tournaments. Got 2 weak hits and then a critical hit. Maybe Luck really is lucky.

Also completed the table except that we need to add round 15. And confirm if space (or cosmic - whatever it's called - I call the element space because that is the name used for the habitat) is strong (when not critical) to anything.

I tested in the battlegrounds and found that Space is definitely neutral to treasure.
As for the other elements, I *think* (but am NOT sure yet) that it might be weak to earth as well as neutral to: fire, nature, water, dark, electric. But it may be more complicated than that. Thanks, cocauina! I admit I did not take the time to read through the last tournament thread again to see if that debate concluded. It's a bummer that some people caused all this confusion / angst with erroneous information last time by not checking if the other element they were battling was weak to fire. If TL hadn't been changing battle strengths and weakness left and right, we'd have questioned those posts and ****ed the false rumor right away, but TL has obviously been ****ing with us with their no weakness special animals... so it seemed plausible they did in that way as well and the false rumors were believable. I'll remove any note of confusion about it from the OP of this thread. Thanks again. :)

In the past, what was strong against Tree?

I'm wondering since, in the past OUR Electric was strong against THEIR Valentine but now they changed so our electric is weak but their is strong with valentine and I would like to know the exact thing for the Tree element, if it has the same thing, TL as the balls to that so..

At one time Water was strong against Living Wood(tree) and Living Wood was strong against Gem, Dark and Shamrock. Everything else was neutral. I don't think that Water is strong against Living Wood any longer but we'll find out in round 29.

I had to defeat Porkupine 6 times, my game just didn't want to save, I lost 6hrs. I did the battle, won all of the 6 times and 1hr later I needed to repeat the process, until half an hour ago, I had Matripony and not Porkupine.

Since Water is weak to Electric, I don't think pairing Water/Earth would not be as good a choice as pairing Earth with one of the other three. Even though water is strong against fire, I prefer not to open up a weakness, just my preference.

Sandscape was a loyal player to this game, but TL ihas being ruining the game and most of the veteran players have been leaving the game, in the beiginning, when the game was released, the forum was very active, now it's so quiet and has dead hours.

I think Sand checked in during the Valentine event, didn't like it and signed out permanently after that. Sand's work is still the basis for my battle strategy. Strong/Weak and Neutral/Neutral are definitely the same from a battle message perspective. Since we don't know the exact nature of the Critical Hit calculation, anything else is just guesswork. Better stop here, I don't want to go to far off topic.

I plan on using Water to defeat the Treent of Life in round 29 ( probably Menoram), since if Water isn't strong against it, I don't know anything else that is. You can test to see if using the Treent of Life still has a weak attack when we use it, by using it against any animal that has a water element that is not Gem or Dark. Since the other elements (except Shamrock) are neutral, you should get a weak attack.

From what I know, I expect our Water attack against the Treent of Life will be Neutral and our Living Wood attack against Water would be weak. That's assuming the rules haven't changed. I hope that answers your question.

Thanks, cocauina! I admit I did not take the time to read through the last tournament thread again to see if that debate concluded. It's a bummer that some people caused all this confusion / angst with erroneous information last time by not checking if the other element they were battling was weak to fire. If TL hadn't been changing battle strengths and weakness left and right, we'd have questioned those posts and ****ed the false rumor right away, but TL has obviously been ****ing with us with their no weakness special animals... so it seemed plausible they did in that way as well and the false rumors were believable. I'll remove any note of confusion about it from the OP of this thread. Thanks again. :)

In my opinion, you didn't confuse anyone, like me, there are players that would confirm or not the same fact, TL messes up and the players notice, it's normal that we come here and post, at least TL fixed the mess they made. TL is always changing the rules and the cycle of the same questions repeats over and over again :)

Fire is weak against Earth, and Earth is strong against Fire, that's why you got neutral attacks.

Unfortunately, yes, it has been a while, and now we can only test OUR Water against TL Tree, I saw if in the Blizard Battleground there would be a Frostfang, but the only 2 that appeared was in the beginning and I'm in the 70 level's

I thought I remembered all the changes they pulled on us in the last tournament and what was the current understanding of them and what was still in question but I forgot that the fire > dark thing was resolved. Next time if there is any confusion near the end of a tournament, I'll go back and re-read the whole thread of it to see what conclusions were drawn over the course of it, before saying anything in the next new tournament thread. Whether TL turned off the fire>dark briefly and/or reports of fire not being strong to dark were incorrect based on not paying attention to there being earth or water also present in the arena animal, fire > dark NOW so I don't have to re-do everything again. :)

Attempting to win this tournament without using any gems. So far, so good. I've won the 1st 14 rounds with no losses yet. *knock on wood*
Still don't have a gem or treasure animal yet so I think I've been lucky with my wins so far.

Also, I've used my gold lion to beat the matripony the last few tournaments. It has worked the first time every time thus far.

Edit: Yup, should not have said anything. First loss was to the Gold Lion using my Blizard.

Have now lost three times to seamur with epic Santa and Unicorn (twice). In total, Unicorn has been defeated five times up to now and won once (when it was not expected to win). These tournaments are fixed - how can level 15 ultra rare and super rare get taken out by low level beasts so regularly. Totally fed up with this game - it is so loaded against the players

I used Santa Claws to beat Matripony, too. One hit, Critical, using Christmas. No idea if it is strong, since only took one hit.

Same here. So far 3 losses against Unicorn with different animals (Treent, skyger & Plutopus). I hope this is not the one where I will get stuck for a whole one day.

I was also stuck on the Crystal Unicorn, 6 losses, I just beat it using my Epic Skyger. Hope this helps. Good luck :)

I started the tournament slow and then hit a great run in the middle including beating the first three ultra-rares the first time. Can't believe that I have lost 6 times to the Aurora Pegasus on round 29. My Lunar Goat has had a terrible tournament, accounting for 9 of my 13 losses. I guess I'll bench it for the rest of the tournament.

From what we are seeing in Zenobia's list, we can come to a conclusion that TL's Matripony follows no definite pattern of weakness or strength. It just up to the player's luck on how and with what animals he will defeat him. Different players reported beating him with different animals including different elements.

Round 12 Rumble bee: unicorn 14 lost twice, Magmacore 12 beat it with second hit critical.

Switching to Nightmare didn't provide immediate relief in beating the Aurora Pegasus in round 23 as it lost for a total of 7 losses on that round. I looked back at past 30 round tournaments and I had never lost more than 5 times at any round below 28, so losing 7 times on round 23 to a Super Rare is a bit annoying. I guess the RNG is getting its revenge for my quick run through the middle round. At least there is plenty of time left in the tournament.

It was bound to happen. My first loss to an ultra-rare in this tournament was to the round 25 Level 18 Treasure Toucan. Losses are piling up since I hit round 23. Overall record is now 24-17.

Looks like the Treent of Life on round 29 may be neutral to everything. So far in my attacks, with the following element have been Neutral: Water, Electric, Valentine, Dark, Nature, Earth, and Fire. Congratulations to those that beat it so far. I am at 5 losses to the Treent and counting.

UPDATE: Don't use Shamrock against Treent it still has a weak attack. It was my 6th loss

Hi Darchenia, I just tried Kitsune after you posted your list but unfortunately did not work.
Normally when Nature element is required, I always rely on Ancient Sloth, but this guy also failed me.
Any way, I will give Kitsune another chance next hour.

Finally defeated the round 29 Teent of Life with a Level 15 Santa Claws ( my Treasure beater) after 6 losses with various animals. My first xMas attack was a Critical Hit and that was it for the Treent so I don't know the strength of the xMas attack. If any one else, uses an Xmas attack against the Treent, I would like to know if the attack is Strong, Weak of Neutral.

One more round to go.

It was a strange tournament, lost 7 times to Aurora Pegasus in round 23 and 6 times to the Treent of Life in round 29. However, I beat 4 of the five ultra-rares the first time, only losing twice to the round 25 Treasure Toucan. So I finished 5-2 against the ultra-rares.

For those who have a treasure animal, it's a good choice because a) it is not weak to living wood and b) it is ultra rare. Obviously gem is ultra rare too, but it is weak to living wood.

Looks like the Treent of Life on round 29 may be neutral to everything. So far in my attacks, with the following element have been Neutral: Water, Electric, Valentine, Dark, Nature, Earth, and Fire. Congratulations to those that beat it so far. I am at 5 losses to the Treent and counting.

UPDATE: Don't use Shamrock against Treent it still has a weak attack. It was my 6th loss

Thanks Nina, so far ive had 3 battles with treent and nothing literally. No messages in all 3 battles. Last I used my Epic Toy Poodle Xmas attack nothing. I hope I wont be stuck on Treent all day but ive got this feeling I will be. Next ill try my Ocean Owl and if that fails I dont know what to use. Earlier rounds only took one or two attempts to clear, but level 24 and later took four or more attempts to overcome. Sloth was used in over 1/2 the attempts.

Ive finished the tournament and Growvine egg is on the nest. My results are on page 4 #40. Found the tournament to be easy going at first then the losses started. Treent was frustrating to get past. Hit after hit with no message isnt very encouraging when you are on 3 or more losses. Its such a relief once you get that critical hit. My Smitten Kitten gave me that hit using the V.Day element.
Thanks to Zenobia for her charts and lists, they have been most helpful. Thanks to all players that post their battle results, again very useful.

It's Been exactly 24hours that I try against ruby... Slept 7 hours, thou, lol... I think I am going to make a r?ti de porc (porc roastbeef) with mushroom for dinner tonight... I knew there would be a biiiiiiiig problem... Here it Is.... NeXT try after work, in 5 hours... Pfffff

Just had the 6th loss to the Money Badger. Only had 5 against Matripony by comparison. I guess all my luck went to the DS tourney, which I finished with only 11 losses...as opposed to 11 losses here in just 2 rounds!
