Good thing is I'm only about 11 poles away from crafting my Carousel. And I'd had farms ready for harvesting so I already have my first prize from the world event. I've got a big event this weekend so I'm going to have to try to fly through this.

Went to battle Cosmos with Marshmallow and when I pressed the battle button, I received a popup saying that I had collected enough Lollipops (25) to earn the first prize and that it was in storage. When I dismissed the popup the battle was over and I had a 1 hour timer before I could battle again. Never even got to press the Bash or Magic button. I assume I won since nothing was available to heal. I guess I'll find out in an hour.

I must have received the popup because the game thought I won two lollipops for beating Cosmos, but the I hadn't even pushed a Bash or Magic button yet. This leads me to believe, that the result of the battle is determined when you press the Battle Now button. I always thought that pushing the Bash or Magic button didn't affect the result of the battle but that was strange.

That happened to me too! I hadn't harvested food or hatched anything so it wasn't a delayed reward. I went in to battle with 2 pops, left the battle with 25...

No I don't think so. I did everything normally, selected my dragon, went into battle and selected bash, and then a pop with the lollipop patch came up saying its in the storage!! Thanks for investigating though.

Unfortunately the black element always has a chance at splitting into blue and purple, no matter what you pair it with.

You can use dragons of any level in tournament battles. Even level 1 dragons can win.

Black works better than pink vs yellow-blue combo
Don't ask me why :D
Each time i got yellow-blue i use black and each time i got yellow-red i use pink
Yellow is supposed to be weak vs pink or black but i have more wins in these ways

Each time i got yellow-blue i use black and each time i got yellow-red i use pink

I'm nearly done - completed 27rd (Fireflower 18) defeating it first try with Cerbersus 10 mM about 4 hours ago. Went to do other things, when I came back 27rd was back up again. So Now I have to fight this round again!? (Last time this happened to me it took 11 tries to get past a high-level dragon I had already defeated, losing battling time & sending 10 additional Dragons to the Healing Springs.) ...Why did this keep happening during tournaments?

Oh my! I have some catching up to do; I just saw all these people already up in the 20-something rounds! I work full time, have kids, and sometimes find it hard to get started, but I'm on my way now - at round 10.

Just an aside: I challenge anyone to beat my frustration of the last tournament when I went 27 battles before I beat the round 20 dragon. Has anyone ever done more than 27 rounds against one dragon?

Just an aside: I challenge anyone to beat my frustration of the last tournament when I went 27 battles before I beat the round 20 dragon. Has anyone ever done more than 27 rounds against one dragon?

Although I didn't lost for 27 battles at that time, but I knocked out avenging after 17 battles (17 times lost) and that was the worst and longest battles I've ever had, as I could remember, I've never lost for more than 15 times (battles) before, so that battle was a history for me as well, lol..., but don't worry Newzealander, Avenging is not here in this tourney this time... Beware of mercury on rd. 22, he's quite strong and I think he's the strongest one in this tourney, have lost several times to mercury as well, lol... Good luck, Newzealander, I wish you all the best in this tourney, forget about that avenging, the past is in the past, lol... U can do it, cheeerz... Good luck!!! ;)

YEP, Air beat Barbarian. I just took a chance with the Air. I saw there was someone that used Fire and won, so I tried Fire first and he lost, so I figured I would try another single element common and Air beat Barbarian. Hope it helps.

I'm going like a breeze, till lvl 21 I only lost 2 fights. Now I'm up against Mercury, and tho I have Gold and several other Diamond-hybrids, I just lost 3 times... Ah well, it's a smooth sailing so far, but my hypothesis that "smooth first, then hard and hard first, then smooth" still stands.

Sorry, I don't feel like posting results is helpfull, since I have too many dragons from past events, and only folow the calculator... So my list is usually RS, Marshmallow, Spring, Champions and Diamond(hybrids).

I think I've just made another history and record in playing dragon story after all this time. In the last tourney (spirit warrior), I've lost 17 battles against avenging, but now, *rotfl...., so far I've lost against Helios for 18 battles, can you imagine lost for 18 times (18 hours)? I've tried all the suggested dragons, including babies, all advantage dragons against helios, and all dragons that I used in the past tourney against helios, but none of them succeed against this Helios... I don't know what species of Helios compete in this tourney in my island, the king of Helios, lol... I used to knocked out helios easily in the previous tourney, don't know what happen this time. I also have tried to restart, but it didn't seem work. I went battle smoothly from round 1 until 21 without any hurt nor injury, but this 24th round really cause big serious injuries to all my 18 pals, and they all in line for spa... Don't know whether I should give up on this tourney now or keep going until the last moment. I just feel that I don't want to keep going anymore, really wasting my time and energy battling "that" helios, lol...
