This is really awkward, despite having Crusader, Siamond and 6 other Diamond-hybrids, I spent over a day to defeat Astromancer.

Now, Infinity is giving me the same hard time, and I still have to face the last dragon...

I kept cycling through diamond, crusader, and quetzal and quetzal finally defeated infinity.

If it helps someone, I used level 10 forest on Barbarian. Wasted him on the first try.

Well believe it or not, I beat Astromancer with an epic Fire like on my 3rd attempt (and I did it again on my bro acc, only lv5 first try). It's like the easiest thing! Also, I won over Shadow with lv7 Fuzzy. Don't remember about Infinity though, it was the most surprise win over randomness on 1st try, all I remember is that I used a common dragon.

So my advice is if haven't tried any common dragon, try them now.

Uh no, from my experience it has to be the dragon itself, but again this is a game of randomness we're talking about. Sad that you didn't make it, now then... how about giving Water a shot.

Try Fire, I don't think it matters what level they are, although mine is at 10 and it took me a couple times to beat it.

Have you tried spirit warrior? my L9 spirit warrior defeated it using just one Bash after it took down my virtue, marshmallow and aether.

So what is the purpose other than gold grab for Storm8 to make a level 25 opponent which is unbeatable, and so many times make people lose 20 plus rounds against it?

Talk about making the experience miserable..I think you guys need to put a cap on the number of losses you will let someone go through before finally letting us win.

Agreed with leysanne: very difficult tournament, despite the odds.
I ultimated Barbarian, first time I encountered it, but Astromancer, and Infinity were a big pain .. ... .... I feel,like I never had to work so hard for a tournament, and there were time's I wanted to give up, especially on Astromancer.

Have you tried spirit warrior? my L9 spirit warrior defeated it using just one Bash after it took down my virtue, marshmallow and aether.
I took an earlier suggestion and used Firestorm against Fireflower. Worked like a charm.

Just beat Infinity with Diamond (M - only took one hit). One round left!!!

You are also not alone. I was stuck with Mercury for 20 rounds and finally beat it with Fruitful, then I was stuck with Helios for 21 rounds and tried all the winning dragons which I have and still couldn't beat it and had to resort to ultimate eventually.

Just curious, which dragon did you use to beat Helios in the end?

So, we're not alone, let's sing "you're not alone", lol... At the end, I used my lovelight lv. 7 to knocked out helios. He's the only dragon often came out as superhero when I stucked for many rounds. Like when I was at spirit warrior tourney, my lovelight also helped me to knocked out avenging after lost for 17 rounds to avenging, but the next round he couldn't help me anymore like when I was at barbarian and fireflower now, but really thanks to him though and will evolve him to epic form. Believe it or not, again, I've lost to fireflower for 17 rounds and had thrown everything, about 90% of my dragon in line for spa and don't know what to use anymore, rotfl... Really down and wanna give up!!! :(

Try Fire, I don't think it matters what level they are, although mine is at 10 and it took me a couple times to beat it.

Even though I'm here at the last few hrs of the tournament and I lost 8 times in the final round this has been, by far the easiest one I've encountered in my recent memory. I didn't use an ultimate anytime this tourney and only speed up a few rounds- typically I've used 1-3 ultimates and I've used up to 4 when things were particularly rough.
I had only 4 losses total before round 25.
Barbarian gave me 5 losses-26-28 1-2losses and infinity took 4 tries with 19- rising sun < aether (10) bmb -Lost marshmallow 10
20- pharaoh < marshmallow (10) bM - lost astromancer (10)
21- gold < unicorn (10) Bm
22- Mercury < gold (10) bM - lost Anubis 10
23- lightspeed < guardian (10) Bm
24- helios < angel (10) Ko
25- barbarian < aether (10) Bm - Lost barbarian, air, astromancer & passion all epic
26- space < kitsune (10) bmb -Lost divine & marshmallow both epic
27- fireflower < lightening (10) Bm- lost epic aether

I started late, full day and a half, lost only 4 times prior to round 25 and without using a single ultimate (typically 1-3 a tourny) this has been, by far, my best tournament in my recent history. I speed up a few times but that's it!

Barbarian gave me 4 losses and rounds 26-28 gave me 1-2 losses...

Took the 4th try for infinity to go down with infinity beating itself. I always beat him with himself so going to stop mucking around anymore and go to it first!

Last round was difficult but not 17-25 losses difficult so I'm extremely happy overall and considering I'm usually war beat and cranky as heck at the end of these I'm relieved.

Good luck to those still going...cleopatra was my bosses downfall so if you are struggling throw her in. I've not seen her yet on any lists, although I may have missed it. Hope my list can help someone.
Congrats to the folks with this grumpy faced darling sitting in their nests and see you all next time where I might be back having a rough time from round one on....hope not!!

I just beat the stupid Astromancer using my L7 Glitter with 2 bashes, the first one being the critical hit. Love my glitter so much. Was about to use ultimate as the Astromancer has taken down my Epic fire twice, Epic Air, spirit warrior, Astromancer, firestorm, Lovelight, Atlantis, snowmeltt and winter rose.

So for those that are struggling with Astromancer now, hope this is helpful to you.

So this tournament was the easiest one in 2 accts finished before the weekend started and the hardest for my main acct. Just finished Shadow off but I did have to speed up a bunch of rounds of battles. Did not need any ULTs. I spent 2 full days on Astromancer and not sure why my healthy stock of diamonds and there hybrids could not defeat it faster. Thanks to RNG I guess.

I hope that those who did not make will do better next time.

Finally finished the tournament with just one hour spared and beat the shadow using my baby bubble gum with Bb. This is a difficult tournament for me, had a smooth sail until level 21 and then was stuck with Mercury and Helios for about 20 rounds each and with Astromancer for about 10 rounds. Had to use ultimate twice to defeat Helios and Infinity and sped up a few rounds.

Anyway, congrats to those who have won the tournament and wish those who couldn't make it this time a better luck for next tournament. Wish myself a better luck and an easier tournament for next one too. :-)

Oh my! I have some catching up to do; I just saw all these people already up in the 20-something rounds! I work full time, have kids, and sometimes find it hard to get started, but I'm on my way now - at round 10.

Just an aside: I challenge anyone to beat my frustration of the last tournament when I went 27 battles before I beat the round 20 dragon. Has anyone ever done more than 27 rounds against one dragon?

I accept your challenge, lol... The answer is me, and yes, I has! I lost to fireflower dragon round 27 in shadow tourney for 33 rounds (33 times lost to fireflower), rotfl... This is worst than avenging and barbarian... I think this is enough to beat your frustration of your last tournament and also break your record. Overall, for me, I think this tourney was really difficult. Hope for an easier tournament next time for those who stucked on many rounds just like me or failed in this tourney and congratulation for those who win. ;)

I received the message that i earned the Shadow Dragon and i was very happy.

Shortly after that the program crashed and took my dragon with it. Now my Shadow Dragon is gone and my gold too.
Can I get my dragon back somehow?
