I need help with the Astromancer Dragon - lost Crusader, GA, Dark Angel

I've been playing DS for about 6 months now, but this is my first time logging into the forums. I wanted to personally thank you for your tips! They helped me for a few rounds last tourney & this one as well. This was my very first tourney win without using ultimate. ☺️ It is also my fastest win! Last tourney I battled down to the wire with only 2 hrs to spare! Thank you so much & congrats on being awesome! Oh & for winning Shadow, too. Lol ☺️ It feels so great to make gold instead of walking away broke!

What works for one person - either specific dragon and/or attack(s) - won't necessarily work for another. For example, blackeneddove posted winning against Space with Plasma-9 using B. I just beat Space with Plasma-9 using bMm. Same dragon on the same round, but winning with different attacks.

All you can do is try one or more of the dragons other people are posting as winners. Some of them will post their attack(s), some won't. If they do, you can try that. If they don't, then you're on your own. There is no sure winner of each round because of the randomness built into battles.

Tough going! Last tourney my Winter 7 took out Helios.

I think I've just made another history and record in playing dragon story after all this time. In the last tourney (spirit warrior), I've lost 17 battles against avenging, but now, *rotfl...., so far I've lost against Helios for 18 battles, can you imagine lost for 18 times (18 hours)? I've tried all the suggested dragons, including babies, all advantage dragons against helios, and all dragons that I used in the past tourney against helios, but none of them succeed against this Helios... I don't know what species of Helios compete in this tourney in my island, the king of Helios, lol... I used to knocked out helios easily in the previous tourney, don't know what happen this time. I also have tried to restart, but it didn't seem work. I went battle smoothly from round 1 until 21 without any hurt nor injury, but this 24th round really cause big serious injuries to all my 18 pals, and they all in line for spa... Don't know whether I should give up on this tourney now or keep going until the last moment. I just feel that I don't want to keep going anymore, really wasting my time and energy battling "that" helios, lol...
I won with Landworm 10 mM against Helios 16 (lost Gold 10 bbm, Crusader 10 bmb, Fire 10 bbm). If you are still fighting with Helios, I would suggest using Fire. My winners against Helios in previous tournaments are Fire 10 and Gold 10. Good luck!

I won with Landworm 10 mM against Helios 16 (lost Gold 10 bbm, Crusader 10 bmb, Fire 10 bbm). If you are still fighting with Helios, I would suggest using Fire. My winners against Helios in previous tournaments are Fire 10 and Gold 10. Good luck!

Help! I am stuck on Gold again. I have been stuck for a day and a half now. I have thrown everything I can think of at him. I do not have a Diamond (though I have been trying unsuccessfully for 5 months non-stop to breed one) and I would really like to complete this tournament and I refuse to buy gold to play this tournament! Shadow went down on third blow with first try of RainbowSentinel10. The calculator puts RS at 45% chance of winning over other dragons, so I figured I would try RS first.

As a side note, I don't spend Gold in the game frivolously, ever, and I don't use gold for boosted breeding or Ultimate attack. I woke up several times during the night to battle round 29 Infinity, AGAIN, and to heal dragons that lost, and in my sleepy haze, I accidentally hit something and purchased 400,000 coins for 20 Gold, so I guess this tournament cost me 20 Gold. I always thought Gold shouldn't be sitting at the top like it is, where it can be simply or easily touched by an errant finger or a stray animal paw, and it should be in a vault that you have to extract as a safeguard. Isn't that where you would store gold, in a vault, you wouldn't have it laying around your "home" (island). I have been playing this game since 2012 and I have always thought they should put a confirmation icon to spend gold, or in a vault-like storage. Having it on top like that is foolish, but that's for another thread, I digress.

I did Magic, and not much happened, then I did bash and even less happened, so I used Magic again since it did more than bash. So MBM. It was close though. It was not a TKO. I was actually surprised Shadow went down on third blow.

I promise you, it's no record breaker. It's really not that unusual to lose 1-2 days against one dragon in these tourneys. TL wants our money. It's just luck of the draw if your account gets the "you're not winning round ...(usually 20 or 25) without spending gold" card. If it hasn't happened to someone yet, give it time. It will.

I promise you, it's no record breaker. It's really not that unusual to lose 1-2 days against one dragon in these tourneys. TL wants our money. It's just luck of the draw if your account gets the "you're not winning round ...(usually 20 or 25) without spending gold" card. If it hasn't happened to someone yet, give it time. It will.

I think I've just made another history and record in playing dragon story after all this time. In the last tourney (spirit warrior), I've lost 17 battles against avenging, but now, *rotfl...., so far I've lost against Helios for 18 battles, can you imagine lost for 18 times (18 hours)? I've tried all the suggested dragons, including babies, all advantage dragons against helios, and all dragons that I used in the past tourney against helios, but none of them succeed against this Helios... I don't know what species of Helios compete in this tourney in my island, the king of Helios, lol... I used to knocked out helios easily in the previous tourney, don't know what happen this time. I also have tried to restart, but it didn't seem work. I went battle smoothly from round 1 until 21 without any hurt nor injury, but this 24th round really cause big serious injuries to all my 18 pals, and they all in line for spa... Don't know whether I should give up on this tourney now or keep going until the last moment. I just feel that I don't want to keep going anymore, really wasting my time and energy battling "that" helios, lol...

HI Stevenlee. I just wanted to say that I hope you don't give up. This is not as unusual as you think. In the last tournament I went 27 rounds against one dragon!! That's rare, but it happens. In the end, all I could do was laugh about it, and keep it in the context of "just a game". But I was determined to beat it! And I did! So don't give up - you may have an easy run for a few after that tough one. You could definitely still get there.

Had to fight Space (I think it's round 26) twice. First defeated bM with Life 10, then the game crashed and same Life lost the second time round. Proof that not only don't same dragons have to always work for different people, but even for the same person. Got Space on the next try with Marshmallow 10.

I beat it with epic Raven. If you don't have Raven, use another dragon with black as its first or only color.

I used Astromancer. If you don't have a Diamond or Diamond hybrid, try commons, especially the basic 4 colors. They often win when others fail.

It took me two tries with a red dragon - Landworm (lost) and Fire (win). You could also try Mythic and Cosmic if you have them. You may have to cycle through red, Mythic, Cosmic, and Diamond hybrids multiple times until one finally takes it down. If you do re-try a dragon, try using a different attack sequence - if you previously started with bash, use magic. Also try not switching attacks and use only one type. You never know what will work.

If crusader lose, heal it and when baby fire lose sell it, so your healing spring won't be too busy.

My Bladewing went 20/2 on the rounds that didn't require a diamond. Beat Barbarian and Shadow on the first try with Rainbow Sentinel. Worst round was Gemini with 3 losses. Had 11 losses overall. No speeding or ultimate used. Wow. Like I said...I'm in shock.

If super rare/rare dragons don't work, use the common one. If fire has a possibility to take it out, so does firestorm and so.. Light seems to work pretty well for me most of the times, why not give it a try? ;)

I can't believe I did this but I just took out Infinity (level 29) with a level 1 Water Dragon on one account a a level 1 Fuzzy dragon on my other account. Yes. I know. I am astounded.

Thank you so much for this. Infinity had claimed several of my dragons but just fell to a level 3 Fuzzy. In just one B, like it was the easiest thing in the world!

My Bladewing went 20/2 on the rounds that didn't require a diamond. Beat Barbarian and Shadow on the first try with Rainbow Sentinel. Worst round was Gemini with 3 losses. Had 11 losses overall. No speeding or ultimate used. Wow. Like I said...I'm in shock.

So, any other suggestions from anyone? I only have one Champion which is the spirit warrior and one Diamond hybrid, which is an astromancer.

Try restarting your phone. Read on a different thread that some peeps have done that when they've had a particularly long bad streak. I just restarted mine and went after Fireflower again and finally beat that stinker. Worth a shot.

Do you remember your combo to beat Astromancer with crusader? I've tried twice and lost, I have an air, firestorm but they r both still level 4, and my gold dragon is still on the nest. I refuse to use gold, as for 1- this will be my 2nd tournament to compete in and (win, which I will I still have time) and 2- I am not buying gold anymore due to the gold sales not being given out equally to all players (but I've already said my piece on that and I'll leave it at that). Sigh, yesterday I was stuck with Mercury for the whole day and lost 20 battles. Now I am stuck with Helios and have already lost 9 battles so far. I have tried almost all the winning dragons listed here. Here is my casualties list:

Epic Landworm, Epic Fire, Astromancer L9, Epic Air, Lightning L8, Luck L5, Light L5, Scorpion L6.

Just now I saw Zarlefrine posted wining using Goodwitch. I don't have a Goodwitch, the closest combination I have is a Lovebird. So I went ahead with my L8 Lovebird, sadly though, it didn't win the battle for me.

So, any other suggestions from anyone? I only have one Champion which is the spirit warrior and one Diamond hybrid, which is an astromancer.

Here is what I've used. My postings are on page 7ish. The levels make a difference. Lvl 10, epic.. May not work. I used forest 10 and he lost. Turned around and used my forest lvl 4..& he ****ed barbarian.

I think magic works better than bash in some cases. It think it depends if your dragon has two or more types.

Restarted my phone, then I put a fire egg in the nest which takes 10 sec to hatch. I used that Fire dragon Level 1 with B,b,b and beat the Barbarian ;) Good luck

PS:- I don't have any diamond hybrids other than gold and only one champion that is Spirit warrior and in expired ones wild flower,thunderstorm,marshmallow and daisy.

For Fireflower Cerebrus and Tigerfly of any level is your best chance at 35%.
For Astromancer and Infinity without any diamond hybrids you may have some trouble. If you have Diamond use that. It will give you a 25% chance. Everything else (non-diamond hybrid) is going to give you 10%.
For Shadow, use your Rainbow Sentinel. It has the best chance to win of any dragon with 45%. Levels 1-10 for Rainbow Sentinel all have 45% chance. A bunch of dragons will give you 35% including any level champion.

I wish I had a Rainbow Sentinel. I see that it was some sort of quest released a few weeks ago, but I didn't get it. I think its because the quest was released only for a certain iOS release and higher. Dang. I hope they don't exclude people from anything anymore due to what iOS they are on! That dragon seems very powerful for Battle Arena.

Actually, the recent release was for Android, iOS release was way before that and the Quest is much harder (but they get a nice decoration in addition). Still, it sad that you missed it.

As funny as it is, for most tournament as I fought the dragon at the end which is tend to be super/ultra rare or champion, the table show the best matches is ultra rare/champion dragon, I (and probably many more) won most of them with common dragon. Imagine that xD

I am on Android when they released Rainbow Sentinel quest and it was an easy get. Thank you for the suggestions but I have only two rounds left, infinity and shadow. Yes Diamond hybrids are first choice to beat diamond hybrid but sometimes even basic elements defeat UR/SR dragons. It might not work for all but it does. I just hope I beat him with diamond

Lost with Leopart 10, 6..Metal 10,6..Diamond 10 and then BAMM won with Parakeet 10 bmM. It was close though! Finallly! Well on to the next one now. I have so many waiting to heal. Space and Barbarian have caused too many casualties! Here's hoping the next one would be easy. Fingers crossed.

Aww thanks! Just read some posts regarding Infinity. You could try epic Air or Sunrise. I would suggest giving gold a shot too since it is a diamond hybrid.

I was so excited I basically sped up breeding after I took down space..couldn't wait to beat shadow and win it. I was so happy when I took down infinity and shadow on the first try because I had to battle wayy too many times to win battles 25-28.

In my quest for the shadow dragon in the tournament I used all epic Peacock, Amethyst and Independence Day dragon (I think that the name sorry if it isn't red, white and blue drag with star on it) for rounds 1-28 alternating those 3 were def wins for me. Then I came across the infiniti dragon. I tried my winners and several others including the landworm. No luck. Then I thought maybe the passion dragon. I won!!! MB! 2 moves. 1 more round 2 more days. Trying to get out to get last 10 poles for carousel. Wish me luck!! I hope this helps someone.

I just beat round 27 before i left work, was excited, after i got home decided to play another round before i went to bed, round 27 is up again, and i lost, what i dont understand i won that round, why is it that when the game screws up its never in our favor, whats our option? besides playing the round over, its getting close to the end of the game!

Nope, you are not alone, LonePudding. I've lost to barbarian for 22 times (22 dragons lost to barbarian), rotfl... :D Before I was super stuck on helios too for 18 times... Now 8 dragons have lost to fireflower... Sometimes I think should I stuck on every dragon on every round? That's a little bit unfair while I saw others beat those hard round easily. I've spent too much time for this tourney, sooo tired playing. Oh and yes, I stuck on mercury for 10 rounds, lol, can u imagine? I really thank those friends who told me not to give up, but I really wanna give up now. I still have infinity and I know infinity is also hard to beat... Have spent too much time for this tourney... :(

You are also not alone. I was stuck with Mercury for 20 rounds and finally beat it with Fruitful, then I was stuck with Helios for 21 rounds and tried all the winning dragons which I have and still couldn't beat it and had to resort to ultimate eventually.

Just curious, which dragon did you use to beat Helios in the end?

Remember, Yellow and Pink dragons are a key in this tournament. If you have a Landworm or Aether in your arsenal, they will come in handy as well <3
