Ignore the post that says it's $1 a day. There aren't even any dollars in the game. It doesn't cost anything to store things.

Why do some people feel the need to mis-inform others? Low-life!

It does NOT cost you anything to store stuff. When you store stuff like walls and floors (which you cant sell anyway) it means that you can pull them back out to redecorate when you are sick of seeing the one design. Also, if you do sell something you only get 1/10 of the cost price back, and if you paid gems you dont get gems back, so you really are better off storing stuff.

And remember, when you buy new walls and floors, your old ones go into to storage automatically so you can use them later if you want.
