Yep. Nice to have the older stuff on sale. New stuff, meh. Punk rock, even in my adored purple, doesn't fit my idea of haute couture. Pass.

The 20 hr Dawn catalog is nicer than what the mannequin is wearing, for a change. But the alignment issue persists.

The mannequin wouldn't be so bad, had she not got caught in a spider web.

The catalogue I'm not a fan of, though it's nice to see navy shade of blue for a change instead of that sickening baby blue we keep on getting.

The counters look lovely, but not enough for me to want to go and buy gems to buy them.

It's also nice to see some older displays and items go on sale. Can a mod please confirm whether these will stay in the store or leave it after the sale ends?

I haven't looked at the new display up close yet, but just seeing how it's called punk something, I already have no interest in it. So that's all good, less money I waste on pixels.

Thanks for posting the pic Aisha. I didn't think I'd like it, but it's adorable! Skull prints and leopard prints in one display! Makes this Jersey girl happy! Of course I wish we got the outfit on the blonde model.

I'm not a fan of this update. As much as I crave mannequins, this week's is lack luster in my opinion. Not interested in the Display. Not even sure about the catalog. I have most of the Earth Day items, so there's nothing for me really.

Not that bad as a whole - tho not really my cup of tea - just wish we could have more new items and fewer old items on sale, which doesnt bring anything to the game.
they should def resize 4x4 into 3x3 items, just for practical reasons: it is absolutely impossible to display 4x4 items, esp for lower levels, so like i dont want to get rid of anything in my boutique i have to pass. And then save my gems. Not sure i understand TL marketing strategy. ....

I also really like the Punk display, very nicely done! But...I can't see where it would fit into my shop. Maybe something to think about for later, but I'll probably save the gems for something I'm dying to get in the future.

The mannequin is almost really nice, but as others pointed out, what is with the veil on her face, andher skin and clothing being almost the same shade? Still, she's for coins, so there is that.

I like the catalogue, yay! But again, low EXP and quantity for such a long time. That seems to be the new norm though, so I guess we should all get used to it.

The Earth Day display was 22 gems the first time around, I know because I bought it. Nice to see it again, on sale. Nothing else exciting though.

Overall, though I like the catalogue, nothing really for me this week.

I like the sale on old Earth Day stuff, I didn't have the globe.

I like the mannequin but her face has an ugly net and just spoils the whole look, as for the display I don't like it.

I agree. I haven't been this excited on update Tuesday in weeks! Thanks TL/S8. I just wish the catalog somehow related to the punk display. So incongruous.

I really like the girl on the left, she's so cute, even though her clothes aren't. On the other hand, the girl on the left is just hideous all around, she's got so much make up on and dyed hair combined with super tacky and trashy clothing that she looks almost as bad as nicki minaj or w/e her name is, too 'cheap' looking for my liking. But then again, I really hate street wear, I'm sure the few guys who play this game are thrilled about trashy looking mannequins. Maybe we'll get more classy looking clothing and mannequins next time. I still wish they'd give us the dress from Tulip mannequin in the closet, it's so chic and stylish.

Looks more hot pink to me but I love it! The mannequin looks like a doofus. Like proactiv didn't work out so well for her. I just need to figure out which other displays the punk rock one works with. Too bad we didn't get an outfit to match it. Ripped shirt. Ripped tights. Cool shoes and some guitar earrings or something!

A little weird update for me cause I can't get how Earth day, punk rock and the catalogue are related.
I like earth day items but already have them, I wish there were new stuff also,not only old things. Actually the original earth day update back in 2013 was one of my top favorites.
The punk display is just not for me, although I'd love to see more of that hot pink color in displays and catalogues. Any shade of pink
actually because hot pink is not a trully spring color.
The catalogue is what dissapointed me because I made myself believe we'll get a catalogue like last week's mannequin. I want a dress in this color so bad! I was also hoping for something with yellow but I had in mind something completely different. A pink/light yellow catalogue would be perfect. Maybe next week.
Overall I'll save my gems this week and that's good.Or maybe I'll buy one of the gem dresses I always wanted.

I really like the update this week. The catalog is gorgeous, and finally a runway catalog . I really dislike that there are so many casual catalogs, but barely any runway catalogs, please TL bring more high end fashion into the game. I also love the counters. I always appreciate a good sale, but I do wish that they had just done a full punk rock theme rather than just one display. It's a decent display but it could have better, along with the mannequin. But big thanks to TL for trying to incorporate different styles into the game. I'm getting tired of flipping through basic catalogs. Bring on the Haute Couture, edgy, and daring catalogs!

I like the runway catalog too. We MOST definitely need more options in the category. The new display and mannequin aren't for me but I respect TL S8 for doing it. I'm positive the younger player base have been wanting something like this. I just out grew the (hot topic) punk attire genre about 2 decades ago or so. lol yea I'm old as dirt. But happy for those who like it. I do hope we get something new for Earth Day maybe next week.

I definitely agree. I get that there are older and more moderate players. But to bash a pixelated game can be a bit much. Especially when it seems like it's coming from such a personal place. All clothing here won't be prim and proper. I remember folks getting up in arms over whether pretend fashion store had real or faux fur clothes! Hahaha. It's dumb.

And on the cooking games some one just posted that they don't cook meat dishes because it clashes with their personal ideals. GOSH!

I don't understand if this means they are gonna remove the earth day stuff or not. One message says that it's a discount, another one - "Get one now while it's available" so I guess it should be removed. I'm confused..

That timer thing every week is really stressful, don't know what to buy and what leave for later. I can't buy everything that has a timer every week because it may be removed. They should make a different icon for just discounted items and for items that will be removed after timer runs out.

I'm pretty sure those items will be removed, they did the same with some in game easter items. I was going to buy the holiday sweets few days back thinking it had the same timer as the LTO wedding but turns out it didn't.

Please, can you simply say it's not your cup of tea instead of labelling anything you don't like with such derogatory names? It's not necessarily and comes across as very rude to those who actually like this type of fashion and dress this way. As someone else has pointed out, no one has bagged "normal" fashion with such passion as you seem to every week when TL releases something you don't like. For the record, punk isn't my cup of tea either and I realise that TL will not be catering to my tastes every week.

Back to the topic, I think the punk rock it display is well-designed and unique. It's the first time they released a display like this and not the usual both walls display that we used to get back in the past. So I do like it especially the girl sitting down on the left side. The hot pink and skull prints is a bonus! :o Gonna get one in future. Although I don't wear punk rock style in rl, but I do appreciate it in-game. Lol XD

OMG, this would be so awesome! It would bring new life to my main store. I hope they won't be so expensive. I would like to be able to afford at least one with the millions I already have saved up. Are the BS/RS expansions expensive or hard to get? I don't really play those games.

There is another game I play with fashion, bakery and restaurant games. For gems you can unlock a 2nd,3rd and 4th floor. For the same size as your first floor. Makes it so much fun! This would be a super awesome feature. And I just know TL would make is start off small and pay for each expansion all over again. But it would add so many great things to the game.

I have forgotten my other shops and opened a FiFTH one to have a small shop. I fell in love with the higher level players with 12 by 12 or 12 by 14 shops. Dedicated to one display they could make or centered around one thing. Meaning you can never run out of ideas. So now I play this shop and am working my way up the levels while I save gems to see if something old will come along I want to buy.

But as someone asked, the new expansions are the usual 80 gems and 17.5 million on bakery and restaurant. Bakery is getting some bugs fixed but on RS both sides opened. I'm crossing my fingers until they lock, with the hope we are seriously next.

When the other games have features fashion has been following in terms of boxes going on sale, and blast from pasts too.

I just need 2 expansions. One would be ok, but 2 would be greater.

The new expansion is for both sides, allowing us to go from 23 x 26 to 24 x 27. Can't wait for the rollout at bakery and hopefully at fashion.
