yes all the animals from the boxes can be watered. cow, cats, labs,owl , howling wolf, rabbits.

Yes, they can be watered but it is a waste of water because:

It does not increase the amount of coins your neighbor collects from the animal
It gives your neighbor a false impression that you have watered his farm (if you only watered the animals) as it is recorded in the News Feed
It may not count towards your Star Rating because after you leave your neighbor's farm, the water is returned to you (if you visit the farm again, you'll notice the "drops" of water you gave to the animals were returned to you).


It's also cruel to keep watering the animals, sort of like how PoWs were force-fed water via hoses.

There is a glitch with watering animals.. when you water them there is an appearance that they have been watered and the water you use will disappear but if you go to another farm and then go back to the farm you just watered the animal in - the water will go back to you and the animal will still be unwatered.
