View Full Version : Purpose of upgrading resource buildings?

Has it ever been confirmed that upgrading resource buildings (Sparkling Mine/Sawmill/Hatchery/Stable) only decreases the collection time? Or does upgrading increase the quantity or quality of resources given?

Because if the quantity or quality of drops doesn't change, it doesn't really do much good to upgrade. Assuming I actually sleep, the only level that provides an increase in the number of collections in any given day would be level 5. I put together a dorky table to show that a first collection time of 7am creates 5 collections a day on resource buildings (unless I upgrade all the way to level 5).

Cool table! Interesting to look at it like this. You're totally right... except, I definitely wind up collecting once more per day from my two resource buildings that are level 3 than from the ones that aren't. The reason for that is because I don't check the game right on the nose of the time that they are due to be collected from. Having it upgraded gives a little more leeway, so like, if the 4 hours is up at 1pm, but I'm busy from 12:30-3, I will get the earlier ones before whereas I can't get the later one until after, which messes up the timetable. This can definitely make a difference in the number of times I can collect per day. I would say I almost always get once more per day in on the level 3 ones than the level 1 ones.

The only problem I see here is ur not awake when ur building is ready for collection. :rolleyes:

different buildings have different time reduction amounts. for example the deep mines lose about 2 hours I think from level 1 to 5.
