I've never done one of these mini-tourneys before. Do the dragons still get to level 20?

There is usually a few tough dragons to beat and even if there may not be a champ, don't be surprised to go 10 rounds or so with a tough dragon.


The biggest problem with these tournaments is the amount of hours you have to battle. If you live in the UK, Europe and West the tournament will span 2 night times.


I only get 20 battle hours and that is with setting an alarm for every waking hour. 20 battles to win a 12 round tournament is impossible for me. I have to spend gold speeding round or/and ultimate the tough ones.

There are no odds for these tournaments, well nothing that has ever been published by TL anyway.


What you are looking at is probably some player's interpretation of what the odds are. I suggest using it as a guide but don't take literally.


My personal opinion is that the odds of winning battles is more set at account level rather than dependent on particular dragons. In other words some accounts will always find it easier to win battles than others. We are not playing on a level playing field here.


That said, certain colours are better than others with opponents and I find it choose dragons with colours myself rather than looking at a list with percentages on a third party site.

Go to the Dragon Story Wiki and search for Battle Arena. The page that comes up has a calculator near the bottom of the page that gives you the odds of all dragons against the current opponent. Cerberus and Tigerfly have the best odds at 35%. I have a few of the suggested ones in the 25 percentile but so far none of them are working. It's good to keep in mind, though, that random chance plays a huge part in the battles (so far as I can tell, anyway).

I really want to thank you for posting the site, I have used it before for breeding options and did not realize there was also a page that provides battle options. As for me...I've battled Infamous Infinity for 7 hours!!!! Going to try Dark Angel for the 4th time!! Lost Gold, and champs too!!! That poop head...!!!! Thanks so much for this tip!! My Atlantis is only on a level 6, but this got me thinking. If your neighbor beat Kitsune with colors that were supposedly neutral, the game must be factoring in rarity (super-rarity, in my thinking). Looking through my epic dragons, I only have a couple that don't have "weak" colors (purple/yellow)...

So I tried my epic Snow Owl and it beat Kitsune! Yay! Seriously, that was so frustrating & it's a relief that it's over! Now I have four hours win 5 more battles! Woot woot! :(

We're 0 for 4 here. I finally got past Immortal with Mirage, but it was too little, too late. The other three got stuck on Honeybee and Infinity. Stinks to quit so close, but kid birthday party tomorrow and sleep are more important. Good luck to the last-minute fighters, and congrats to the winners! My Diamond and Dark Angel are both in the spa so I tried Sterlflare, And a few others. But my Spartan took out Visitor with the first try.

Congrats to all that won Visitor! It didn't happen for me this time. Although, I did finally get past Immortal with baby Winter ( Go figure!) I am on track to get the Rainbow Sentinel so I am concentrating on that. It seems like a good dragon for future battles. Til next time....

I hear ya there! No matter how hard I try and there are days I'm down to 3 dragons but still down to the wire. One day I hope to catch a break and be finished early! Hahahaha, like that will ever happen. :p

After Honeybee stung a long list sending them to the spa, I ultimated her, then used the same on Infitiny, after it got down a few (busy day at the spa), leaving me with 9 minutes to get the Visitor down, and only 12 gold, so I thought OK, might offer it 4 rounds, but, with all the favorites in the spa, I was sure that's it. But then, my dearest Camelot got the Visitor down with one bash!
Congratulations to all who won it, and all the others, there is always the next one. In the meantime, make notes :)

This wasn't the right Saturday for a flash tournament for me. Lost most of the evening due to a social event. I did get 3 of the final 5 arena wins that I need to complete the Rainbow Sentinel quest so it wasn't a total loss.

Well, seeing how Honeybee was kicking them all with a bash of her wing, I tried mine on Infinity, but mine was a sweet bee, who opted for a day at the spa. I might actually try that - beating them with their own. The only comination where I am forced to do that is Diamond, but I have to say, not with great results. Still, making the notes, and it helps (sometimes). I really think that it is mostly just a random chance.
By the way, after 17 hours of breeding, my Night and BlueMoon produced Luck (yuck).
Guess all the disappointments in the game should make us all the more happy when we hatch/win a rare one ;)

I wonder if I should start being worried about myself, humanizing "cartoon" dragons who actually do not even DO anything :rolleyes:
I mean, humanizing my dogs, putting words to their thoughts and expressions is one thing, I'd say perfectly normal, but this...... :confused:
