Cash, what does it do?

Hello I started playing recently, I was wondering what the Cash is for? I understand the other aspects to the game but still haven't found a use for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you. :)

You can use Cash to get Keys or Boosts when browsing in the Main Menu. The exchange area is on the bottom right of the screen. Hope this helps!
