Check in the Hub, Ivy and the purple cow. Follow The Ivy line (Tree Lady), expand to Magic Garden, upper left, get a magic fairy jar and it should open for you to get the purple cow.

Then enjoy a very nice little fellow in your dominion. Never forget to pet it, I nearly always a drop of something I need.

They drop from harvesting then later Ivy's hut, faerie respite, magic garden to name a few.
