Does anyone know what cabbage is used for in the game?

I think I've only ever had to use the cabbage for goals, but I can't recall which ones. Normally it is ones that ask for you to give a certain amount of an item to someone.

Smoked fish snadwhiches and there is a building that needs some i think. Check THE HUB sticky. I am sure you can get more details. Also a stew to go on feral lands adventure needs cabbage

3 things come to mind that cabbage is used for -
* the purple cow quest (give 30, I think).
* to make catfish soup (troll line .. For going on the feral lands adventure).
* to make smoked fish sandwiches (faeries line ... For going on the plume hive adventure).

You just may not have reached these goal lines yet, but it's always a good idea to keep a good stock of all crops on hand for the random new quest that may pop up and ask you to give lots.

I know we threw something at the Baron, maybe that was tomatoes and I'm mixing it up with launching the heads of cabbage.
