looks cool but a bit blurry and hard to read...

I like the concept of it, but it's not as clear as it might be... It's blurry for me too. Maybe another chart option might be worth exploring.
Is your plan just for visual mapping? Can it or will it have links in it? Your idea is great though! I'll have a think about this some more. :)

Concept is great, but some arrows might be confusing well they are to me, definitely need a legend if arrows are going to go in the opposite direction. Otherwise this is ideal for picture people (like me) at a glance, the fab thread you created i find can be difficult to navigate.

I love it, thank you! Just the other day I was looking for something like this to see where I was in the game and how things relate to each other.
It is a little small, blurry and hard to read though.

Sorry, i find it a bit confusing although i love the idea of it. It is blurry for me so this probably isn't helping. Maybe it needs a few written explanations to support the diagram. Hope this doesn't sound negative cos I am very appreciative of the various guides and information you have provided.

yes, great idea, but in reallife i hate such diagrams:eek:
maybe its not so confusing if you make a levelbased-diagram?
mean at lv X you could do this and at lv Y you could do that, so a "lowlevelplayer" could see his/her options what to do, just a thought.
Everything helps - Not really good at this type of thing so was hoping for help
Negative comments are really good here , so I do appreciate them.
I am also a visual learner - had so may notes tacked to the wall - had to remove them for the painters (ouch)
(btw the photo I took did not turn out - too many pencil notes - arrows all over - you get the idea)
So made a list from my outline
- then added the requirements from the update threads
- then tried to recreate the notes from my wall & adding the bits I refer to

Dabag,
You should put one quest block per cell, ex BLYTHEWOOD Sapling Part 1, do not aggregate them.Use arrows like you did to create dependencies: out going means is a pre-requisite for in going arrow.
Use a flow chat tool like Viso. But PowerPoint can also do it.
Thank you ShibuyaCloth
I was hoping you would help.
just posted another attempt in Post #1
I am just sorry that I am a computer dud.
just a brief list of my own short comings regarding this
1. do not have or know how to use powerpoint
2. had to look up what aggregate means - so removed the boxes
3. arrows - removed them too
4. if I could figure out the tab set on the computer - I would have typed it up instead of pics.
I guess what I am really hoping is that someone with much better s****s would say " I can do better than that" and then do it.
Thank you to everyone who checked out the this thread
I really appreciate the willingness of everyone to pitch in and voice an opinion
This is the best I can do at the moment
thank you

I think a visual map of the storyline is a great idea and I would love to see someone come up with something.
I also agree with Dabag and add my thanks to you all for looking in this thread and providing feedback.
Dabag has asked me to close this for the time being, which I'll do. If you want this thread reopened, just send me a PM.
thanks all.
