Gem checker not working

The confirmation check of "Are you sure you want to spend X amount of gems?" is not working.
I have thus spent 20 gems and want them back since this glitch was not my fault.

If you don't mind me asking, did you have a "gem checker/conformation" before?

Reason I ask is because gem traps have and I'm pretty sure will always be a problem in all TL's game due to not having a message prompt asking if "your sure you want to spend x amount of gems" before taking them. I've never had it ask me and have lost numerous of gems because of it and don't know of anyone who has ever got a refund of their gems so I'm just curious to know. Thanks!

No I've never seen this "gem checker/confirmation" before.
I assumed Team Lava to be a professional company and not use horrible tactics like gem traps.

I lost 20 gems today due to a quest randomly popping up in my face and I wasn't ready for it and *boom* 20 gems lost to speed up some silly thing which I could of done myself.
If this has happened to many people before I'd love to start a petition to get Team Lava to grow up and look after their customers.
