Maximum Number Of Appliances??

I just reached level 74 and I got the message saying I've reached the max number of appliances, which is 18? I'm surprised since I see so many level 99's with way more. It says to purchase more slots it's a whopping 49 gems?????!!!!! I read somewhere it's only 24 but in mine it's 49...

24 was old price. it's 49 gems since min. 2 years ago.

Yeah I think most people who have more than 18 ovens bought theirs when it was still 24 gems a piece, or because they fell into that gold trap in the appliance tab.

Oh, that makes sense. I just wish it was more reasonable, 49 gems is ridiculous.
