Collecting stars

i have been collecting stars so I can progress to next level, but they are not being added, does any one know why or how I can solve this issue

If you have already achieved Stars on any given level, you will need to earn more Stars than you have. For example, if you currently have 2 Stars, you will need to get that 3rd Star to gain another Star. Getting 2 Stars again does not add to your total. Hope this helps!
