I can't use the battle calculator on my phone. So when an unfamiliar dragon is coming up, I have to search for his colors, then use the tips in post 1 to choose my fighter. Would it be possible for someone to post the dragons' colors/types as well (when they post which dragon they used?) It would help me prepare--perhaps others would like it as well(??)

I'm familiar with most of the dragons in the store, but expired dragons that aren't tourney regulars require research... Thank you, regardless! :) Good luck, everyone!

Btw, I used a champ on Dapper. But last time, my Snow Owl took him out...

Sorry for unrelated question but I keep getting sent here. My question is I bred unintentionally a Tropic had to buy habitat etc. now feel bad he's alone I read about how to breed the turtle (my preferred choice) I am not understanding. Can someone explain to seems a waste without abother one. Many thanks

On topic: I hate flash tourneys, specially when the prize is a must have like this one. Can't waste time getting stuck, must waste gold instead. Grrrr.

I seem to have hit a major snag with R8. I was hoping to avoid my "late tourney" bad luck in this short tournament. I usually get hung up on round 25 or so. Is this the equivalent?

Good morning everyone! Didn't realize a tourney had started until last night and now I'm showing less than 19 hours left. I didn't make the last tourney as I was traveling for work and got stuck on round 20 for 3 days! Not enough gold to help and not enough time to battle regularly. Hoping this will be different so I've used recommendations found here and sped up the rounds. Here is what I have so far but it isn't anything different than what's been posted. As a droid it's nice to finally see what all the fuss is about, thanks TL, I KO'd dapper with my forest fire & My scorpion enjoyed round 2, but I'm afraid there is a queue for the healing pond after some of my dragons have come face to face with that vicious owl ;) I know I will not be walking away with any trophies, but this droid is not quitting, my dragons have waited far to long, they are all suited up & ready for battle & I am not going to disappoint :p

Wish you could have 2 days from the start of your first battle with a days window built in to take account of the different time zones of the various players.

I think youre using the wrong dragons.....blacks are weak to white....use aether or any purple/blue combo or champs...

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried mad scientists 7, he got ****ed by eclipse. I gave up and used the ultimate 30 gold bars +11 bars to speed up arena time and lost 15 dragons all to eclipse... I hate eclipse.

<sigh> another tournament down the tubes. I could never make it past porcelain. I guess I'll try breeding some purples and blues but it does get pretty discouraging to lose tournament after tournament because you don't have a champ to fight. Oh well. Maybe one of these days.

<sigh> another tournament down the tubes. I could never make it past porcelain. I guess I'll try breeding some purples and blues but it does get pretty discouraging to lose tournament after tournament because you don't have a champ to fight. Oh well. Maybe one of these days.

I had to use Ultimate to get my first champ. Then that Champ made it easier to win future tournaments. But you can also craft Champion dragons sometimes...through mining or collecting parts from battles. The ones going on right now are not champs (LightHouse & Fire Opal dragons.) But the last battle parts dragon was (Battlecaster.) Perhaps one of the next ones will be a champ. Another option...sometimes they offer champs in value packs for sale...

I was running out of time last night, having to spend gold to speed each attempt. As I reached for my last fighter, I realized I could probably buy an Ultimate for the gold I'd spent.

So I gave Morning Glory a pep talk, saying she had 2 hits before I brought in the big ***s (ultimate.) On her 2nd bash, she knocked Chimera out of the ring! Talk about a dramatic finish, lol. I had like 14 min. left...

Thanks! I'm always cautious about using gold to ultimate because I never know if I'll need it for later down the line so I'm pretty cautious about using it. I'd be so sad if I ultimated porcelain only to get stuck on the next one. I've been trying to stockpile it but I used a bit to speed up battles this last time. Regardless, I've never had enough to ultimate more than 2 dragons during a tournament.

I did get a battlecaster but I've been trying to get my diamond, crusader, and lightening to epic. After I evolve my lightening, I'll have all those at epic so I guess I should start working on the battlecaster?

Gold traps are when the button to spend gold is in the same place as another button (say, plant or breed) is in game, and it is accidentally pressed when you think it's the plant/breed/etc button you originally wanted. Since there is no confirmation for spending gold, you lose gold to the game that way.

So I have the latest Droid version and I still have not won one battle. I tried round 1 with 10 different good dragons and nothing. I tried again on Sunday and today after the tourney ended and I still have not won a battle. I just figured the droid version was not working since it is new. Am I the only one who has yet to win a battle using droid? Kooky or Elsa can you look into this. Thanks

The first day I couldn't get past round 1 dapper, but Saturday I was able to play just fine. I saw early in this thread that other Android users were having trouble. I also manually updated my game again Saturday morning because I was experiencing a few glitches. I've had no problems since. Hope this helps.
