Stuck On Level 17

Hello, I'm currently on level 17. As soon as the experience creeps past a certain point on level 17 - it keeps coming up - congratulations, your pals are now stronger with a big 'level 16.' This is non stop. Any solutions?

Thanks, that's now been fixed. But same problem now on level 20

I have been having the same problem all day. It keeps putting me back to level 16. Has not been fixed for me.

Bummer. Just tried the new update, and now it doesn't level up at all.
