Gem Price Increase

I just got the notification that the Winter Bakery is to be removed so I went to buy some gems today and the price has gone up !


I had actually been waiting on a gem sale. I usually get them regularly but had not seen anything since before Christmas and now just as I am about to purchase, the normal price has gone up.


Price in the UK for 250 gems was 6.99, now 7.99 - increase of 15%

Just,checked here yes they have gone up ,, Wonder why! thinking with all the gem traps a lot of people stoped buying them may be just may be they are going to fix it .

I've just been told that iTunes have done a blanket increase on prices in the app store due to VAT changes as it is being reported in the news today but I can't find any details of how much..................not sure if this is connected.

That has to do with Apples profit from the purchase of apps by the consumer. Don't think it affects TLs bottom line. Gem increased so they get more while the bakery is still in the market for those "just gotta have it" CS players.

The UK price for 250 gems converted to dollars is 12.11. That's over 2 dollars more expensive :(

I just bought gems here in the States, and the prices are the same with a 30% off sale. I also just checked the non-sale prices and they too are the same on android. The sale prices were from ios. So yeah, seems to be a UK thing. If they made the kitchen around 500 gems id have bought a second. But 700 plus gems is too steep for me, when it would only aid in my making sweet treats. So I bought gems to finally get the fortune tent. And will save some more to get the barracks.

That's a bit cheaper than here in the UK but I think the price depends on the tax level in the country where the purchase was made, so no all Euro currency countries will have the same price.

Does anyone have the chance to use an android phone for a moment perhaps? I sometimes dont like paying taxes on itunes, so just like last night, I sign into my account on my android phone to purchase games. Its not much but every dollar counts when you are getting large gem packages.

I currently have my first sale since the price increase in the UK. The good news is the 250 gem sale price is the same during the sale as before the increase. So in US dollars the price has always been $10 which used to be 6.99 in pounds, but is now 7.99 in pounds - however during my current sale it is 38% off, which is 4.99 (same as it used to be during a sale). It used to be 6.99 reduced to 4.99 during a sale and now it's 7.99 reduced to 4.99 during a sale, so as long as you stick to just buying the 250 gem pack (and only during a sale) then you don't have to be affected by the universal iTunes price increases in the UK!

Yeah itunes and not forgetting Android prices also the same now , u whould think throw a few more gold into the bundles if we gotta pay more :/ (rant overs lol )

Gems prices differ a lot. I have 2 games going on :)
Samsung device: 250 gems 5.800 dkr (on sale)
iPad. : 250 gems. 79,00 dkr

100 dkr. = 13 euro. NO gems for the Samsung device.

OMG JUST NOTICED THE JUMP IN THE PRICE OF GEMS
It's totally not on, will seriously will be thinking about weather I continuing to pay with those prices.

I'm in the UK I would purchase 530 gems @ the sale price if ?10.49 it has now gone up to ?13.99 the increase is hugh and I cannot see how and why that jump is justified. It's awful especially without no prior warning or information surrounding it not impressed as somethings in the game can only be purchased with gems. Massive disappointment that storm 8 have put prices up but the actually lowered the discount so that they increase the amount made on the purchase. I cannot see how this is justified at all
