This looks like a box, no tables, chairs, walls, counters or floors. :(

But the items are rather nice for those who would love to have a New Year's Party theme. A couple of new servers is nice, but at a 24 gem possible price tag unfortunately. The Countdown Tree would be interesting since you can use that early in the winter too for Christmas if you wanted. Not too bad of items, but not good enough that I would gamble on a box for them, so a pass for me this week.

If this isn't a box I will probably buy several of the items, I have wanted more dance floor party gear and this is perfect for new year, club, music, birthday whatever theme :) Also a guy carrying pastries is awesome, but I love stationary characters/workers.

I think that this is definitely a box. We haven't had 1 in awhile, I think. However, last yr in RS we got a nice NYE update and it wasn't,a box, it was expensive and gem heavy.
So who knows? We'll just have to wait and c.

I can see 9 different prizes which is exactly the number of prizes per box. It's a box for sure... I don't care much for New Year's stuff so will probably pass on this box.

It happens like that for both games. One week, RS will end up with a box and BS will get a regular update. Typically they won't both get just boxes at the same time, so it alternates.

I'm not bothered by it just been a box, we did get a big double update last week. Two chairs/tables/tiles/wallpaper/bunch of displays.

Plus we got the xmas sale, I'm trying to earn a few more gems for the coffee bean display. :)

What I like about this 1 is that it's on time.

Im not into new years and what not, but I love super sparkly things. Nothing for me to touch. Cant believe some folks are complaining. Who wants a xmas box the day before the holiday? We have more than enough items that were released not even a week ago. I have more than enough time before I can gripe about something new. I havent even mastered the last two machines. Im out of commission with cooking until I build my money up again and sell out food on those mismatched counters, that always drives my OCD nuts.

The Countdown Crate is the new content for this week. It is under the last/far right tab in design mode. If you're unfamiliar with boxes in general, they are essentially a gamble object in that when you pay the gem cost (usually 24), you will get a random item from it. No way to guarantee which one you will receive. It will either be a really nice item for the cost or a "lesser" item for the same price.
